Bailey's POV
"I caught Carly and Jack kissing." She finally said. My mouth was wide open in complete and utter shock.
"Bails? You okay?" She asked trying to shake me out of my trance.
"Uh, yeah, I'm fine. I just want to know. Are YOU okay?" I asked.
"Eh, could be better." She joked.
"At least you're still smiling." I say with a half smile.
"Ha, not after I tell you what happened with them." She said. Then, the mood went back to square one.
Maggie's POV
"So, I basically walked in on Carly on top of Jack, kissing him. Now I don't know who I initiated it, but I just didn't know what to think or feel, so I left." My eyes were starting to get glossy again and my lower lip was quivering.
"Hey, it's okay to cry Mags. I'm here for you." Bailey rubbed the side of my arm.
"I just can't believe that one of my best friends kissed my fiancé, and he let her!" I landed a fist on the covers.
Bailey's POV
I thought to myself for a minute.
"I have a theory, Mags." I slowly said. She looked up at me with sorrow in her eyes.
"I know for a fact that Jack is madly in love with you, and he'd never, and I mean NEVER cheat on you with one of your best friends." I say.
"But what about Carly? She's one of my best friends." She debates, wiping her eyes again.
"You've known Jack longer than Carly. Maybe she's always wanted to be with Jack. I mean, you've got to admit, he's hot AF!" I shouted, which made Maggie laugh.
"That's true. But, I just worry if something like this'll happen again." She looked up at me.
"Every relationship has bumps in the road. Yours is a little rockier than others, but I know, that you two are MEANT TO BE!" I grinned.
"So, should we tell the girls about what happened?" I asked.
"Fuck yes, Carly's out of our friendship group." Maggie snapped.
"That's the Mags I know." I clapped. "I'll call them and invite them round'." I say before leaving the room.
Maggie's POV
While Sophie was calling the girls and explaining everything, I decided to check my phone to see what I'd missed in the world (and to block Carly on everything).
Baby💍 (7 missed calls)
Baby💍 (5 new voicemails)
Baby💍 (18 new messages)
I sighed.
I can't, not yet at least.
Baby💍: Princess please come home, I'm so sorry.
Princess💞: I can't Jack, not now
With that, I turned my phone off and put it face down and sighed. Then, Sophie and I played the waiting game.
Ten minutes later I heard several soft knocks on the door. I was about to get up and answer the door when Sophie waved me off. When she opened the door, it revealed a smiling Arden holding up two pizza boxes and Zoe who made a mad dash towards me to give me a bone-crushing hug.
"Why don't you come in Zoe?" Sophie sarcastically says. I laughed and led the two in. After everyone had sat down and gotten comfy, I was the one to speak.
I basically explained everything that I saw and everything that I'd told Sophie.
"I still can't believe that Carly would do that." I say. The thought of it was still baffling me. Zoe sighed, Arden hung her head down, and Sophie put her arm around my shoulder.
"You know what we should do?" Arden asks.
"What?" I look up.
"Change into some lazy clothes, eat our pizza and watch movies!" she shouts.
"That honestly sounds so good right now." Zoe pipes up.
"I've got some extra clothes in my room for us to change into." Sophie says, pointing to her kingdom of a bedroom.
"Well then I guess we should hurry and change." Zoe says beckoning us into Sophie's room.
"Zoe, you do know I have my own room to change in right?" I ask.
"Right, I forgot that you used to live here." Zoe says shaking her head. I laugh and walk towards my room.
I search my drawers for something comfy. I eventually find a pair of sweatpants, a long red Keystone t-shirt, and my old glasses.
"I haven't worn these in ages!" I say, wiping the dust off the lenses. I put them on and look in the mirror.
"Not too shabby."
I walk back out into the living room to find the girls all slumped on the sofa eating pizza. Sophie is he first to look up.
"You look like your year 9 self again." she says with a laugh.
"Har har. I actually think hat these glasses suit me now that I've changed from an ugly duckling to a swan." I pose dramatically and the girls laugh.
"They do suit you."
"Yeah, you should wear them more often." Zoe suggests.
"I'll think about it." I plop down on the sofa and open the pizza boxes. The first one was empty, and the second one had 2 slices left.
"First, you didn't think to share with me. Second, how fast did you eat that? Third, we haven't even started the movie." I ramble. Arden puts a finger against my lips.
"First, we were hungry. Second, fast enough for you to change and get back out here. Third, that's because these two are way too indecisive." She says. I roll my eyes and sit back.
"We're watching The Night Before Christmas." I state.
"Why?" Sophie asks.
"Uh, because it's legendary! It's cute too. Even though it has monsters in it." I shout.
"That's true." Arden reasons.
"And knowing Zoe, she's definitely going to want to see something cute." I say looking to Zoe.
"Guilty as charged." She puts her hands up in defeat as we all laugh.
"Then its settled! But before we start, I'm bringing out the Coke." Sophie says. We all nod as Sophie snakes her way into the kitchen. Bailey comes back with 3 cans of coke that I could practically hear calling my name.
"Ooh, gimme gimme." I say reaching my hands out for a can. Sophie laughs and sets it on the table.
