Chereads / Fallen Wing Saga / Chapter 73 - Prologue

Chapter 73 - Prologue

"Life is more than just living day to day. From such a young age, I've struggled. I was always different from kids on the playground. Faster and stronger than most boys, extremely beautiful and easier to talk to than most girls. Longer hair, perfect eyelashes. By the time I was a freshman, my body filled out so perfectly I actually got offered modeling jobs, even though I was clearly underage.

"This all makes me sound very full of myself and stuck up, but I promise I'm not. At least, I never thought I was.

"It was simply the truth.

"I knew why I was different though.

"I'm not human, and never was.

"From what I know, I am a Fallen Angel.

"I've kept my powers hidden from everyone I've come in contact with, but try my best to train myself whenever I can. I try to avoid the spotlight at school, like sports and such, but they just call me. Track and Volleyball anyway. It's hard trying to hold back as much as I do, but that's partly why I do sports. Training myself mentally to limit my powers so I don't show anyone up too much.

"There is that voice in the back of my mind that tells me to just let it go. Show how superior I am, but that's not what I really want. Truth be told, I never truly knew what I wanted to do with my life, or how I want my future to be. At least, not until I was able to reconnect with my past.

-----------------------------------

A pained scream ripped through the quiet night in Denver, Colorado. Dark blood oozed onto the tree bark, severed arm tossed aside like common trash. The creature stepped back, holding its wound and glaring its blank face between the twins.

Piercing violet and green eyes watched the High Breed, faces devoid of any expression except payback. They wanted revenge for what happened months prior, and they refused to be denied that satisfaction. What luck smiled on them that they just so happen to run into the same creature that caused them to lose their hometown and friends, as well as hurting someone very close to them.

"Stay back!" He yelled.

These boys were different. Completely different to how they were previously. There was no hesitation in either's set of eyes, and the quality of their mana was altered. They had mastered the stability and difference between light and dark, and moved in complete sync.

"You killed people that were close to us. Sorry, I can't let that slide," The violet eyes said. The green huffed, both boys charging at the High Breed with nearly invisible speeds. The sounds of flesh tearing, blood spurting and endless agony filled the night, before a tower of fire erupted in silence.
