The Ōtsutsuki clan, known for their obsession with bloodline purity, always regarded servants as inferior.
Even the descendants of these servants remained subservient.
Kaguya, being a servant herself, saw many of her kin suffer, and turned into pills for the higher-ups of the clan to consume.
This harsh reality was why she was so tense and fearful of the Ōtsutsuki clan.
If it hadn't been a matter of life and death, Kaguya would never have dared to consume the fruit of the Divine Tree.
After hearing Kaguya's explanation, Asahi couldn't help but mentally scoff.
Even if many in the Ōtsutsuki clan had consumed Divine Tree fruits, could they have eaten ones like hers?
The ninja world could be considered the centre of the entire Naruto universe.
The Divine Tree could only absorb the world's essential life energy here, unlike on other planets.
Because Kaguya's Divine Tree fruit absorbed the life energy of the entire Naruto universe, she could reach a transcendent state.
Kaguya's power was essentially the culmination of the entire universe's future potential.
The fruits other Ōtsutsuki clan members consumed were fundamentally different.
If anyone could reach Kaguya's level just by eating a Divine Tree fruit, the Naruto universe wouldn't have remained so relatively peaceful for so long.
As for refining clan members into pills to enhance one's power, Asahi doubted that even if the entire Ōtsutsuki clan were made into pills, it would produce a single transcendent being.
However, Asahi didn't share these thoughts with Kaguya.
Whether she believed him or not was secondary; explaining it would be too time-consuming and complicated.
So, he simply nodded, deciding that time would prove everything.
When the Ōtsutsuki clan eventually came, or if they actively sought them out, Kaguya would understand. After acknowledging her concerns, Asahi asked directly,
"Kaguya-Hime, do you know how many life-sustaining planets exist in this universe?"
Kaguya-Hime? Hearing Asahi's words, Kaguya was momentarily stunned.
Although people in the ninja world called her Princess Kaguya, it felt inappropriate for Asahi, who knew her true nature, to use that title.
After all, she wasn't a princess, just a servant. Moreover, Asahi was a superior being, much stronger than her.
However, she soon realized it was a sign of respect from Asahi. As a servant, what Kaguya desired most was respect.
With a slight smile, Kaguya, feeling pleased, searched her memory for any relevant information. Unfortunately, she didn't know much.
Despite this, she shared everything she could recall.
"Life-sustaining planets? I'm not sure exactly how many, but there should be quite a few."
"When I was still with the Ōtsutsuki clan, the warriors often went out to conquer other planets to plant Divine Trees."
"But I was just a servant and didn't have much information."
"Until I was sent out, I had never seen any other life-sustaining planet besides the one the Ōtsutsuki clan resides on."
After hearing Kaguya's explanation, Asahi nodded nonchalantly. He had only asked out of curiosity and wasn't too concerned about the answer.
However, Kaguya's response confirmed many things for him: there were indeed many strong beings in the universe.
Otherwise, the Ōtsutsuki clan wouldn't need to wage wars. Planets like the ninja world could simply be harvested by a single individual.
Despite the presence of many powerful beings in the universe, Asahi wasn't worried. The current ninja world was far stronger than before.
Even in Asahi's absence, powerful figures like Nagato, who had reached the Six Paths level, could defend it.
Other beings in the universe might be strong, but they were still at the Six Paths level at best.
The warriors of the Ogami Clan, with their extensive training, would undoubtedly surpass them.
Moreover, the Ogami Clan had an advantage no other planet's warriors possessed: the Ten-Tails.
Controlling the Ten-Tails was like holding the key to transcending to a higher realm.
The Ogami Clan would only grow stronger over time, widening the gap with other planets.
Satisfied with his understanding, Asahi continued,
"I'm curious, if you could sense the existence of the world's barrier and feared the Ōtsutsuki clan's pursuit, why didn't you just leave this world?"
Honestly, by this point, most of Asahi's early questions had been answered. Freeing Kaguya now was more about satisfying his lingering curiosity.
Although a bit whimsical, it also marked a fitting end to his journey in the Naruto universe.
After all, it wouldn't feel complete without encountering the final boss of the series. However, Asahi's question left Kaguya puzzled.
She had expected him to inquire about secrets of the universe or the Ōtsutsuki clan.
Despite her limited knowledge, she was prepared to share everything she knew.
But this? The first question was understandable, but the second one seemed personal.
Though confused, Kaguya answered honestly, "Back then, I didn't know what lay beyond the barrier, but I could sense it was very dangerous."
"Breaking through it might not ensure my safety."
"I had time to prepare and wasn't desperate enough to take that risk without understanding the consequences."
"Moreover, breaking the barrier would alert the Ōtsutsuki clan. Compared to an uncertain outcome, I couldn't accept such a result."
"If I couldn't escape, my time would be greatly shortened. Most importantly, at that time, Hagoromo and Hamura were still too weak."
"If they encountered the Ōtsutsuki pursuers, they wouldn't have survived."
