Seeing Toneri's expression, Kushina couldn't help but laugh. This made the already shy Toneri blush even more.

Squatting down, Kushina gently pinched Toneri's cheek and said, "Hello, Toneri. My name is Kushina. How would you like to live with me from now on?"

Toneri instinctively nodded at Kushina's words, but then he looked at Asahi with some confusion.

Although he felt a warm connection with Kushina, he hadn't forgotten Ōtsutsuki Ōwl's last words, instructing him to follow Asahi.

Sensing Toneri's puzzled gaze, Asahi explained, "Your father wanted you to see the beauty of the ninja world, so living in the isolated Ogami Island isn't the best choice."

"That's why I'm arranging for you to live in the Hidden Leaf Village for a few years. Besides, Minato and Kushina have offered to adopt you."

Upon hearing Asahi's explanation, Toneri curiously glanced at Minato and Kushina. He understood Asahi's words perfectly.

He neither had the intention nor the right to refuse.

With no clear plan for his future, being adopted by Kushina seemed like a good option, especially since he had a positive first impression of her.

Thus, Toneri agreed. Seeing Toneri agree, Kushina was overjoyed. She took his hand, pulling him closer, and said,

"Toneri, from now on, you will be my son. You can call me 'Mom' and Minato 'Uncle.' But if you're not comfortable with that yet, 'Aunt' is fine too."

At Kushina's words, Minato felt a pang of confusion. What did she mean by calling her 'Mom' and him 'Uncle'? Shouldn't it be 'Dad'?

Of course, Kushina had no intention of undermining Minato.

Given that Toneri's father had just died, Kushina didn't want to rush the child into accepting a new father figure so soon.

Though Minato understood this, he couldn't help but feel a bit strange about the situation.

Regardless of Minato's mixed feelings, Toneri felt a sense of relief at Kushina's latter suggestion.

Despite his favorable first impression of Kushina, calling a stranger 'Mom' was too awkward.

Thankfully, her suggestion of calling them 'Aunt' and 'Uncle' eased his anxiety. He then called them 'Uncle' and 'Aunt' directly.

Hearing this, Kushina smiled warmly. Toneri's acceptance of his new family was a good sign, and she knew he would eventually start calling her 'Mom.'

Minato, feeling much better about the situation, also smiled widely. Asahi, seeing this happy scene, waved his hand to indicate they could leave.

With Asahi's gesture, Minato and Kushina didn't linger any longer and left the hall with Toneri.

They were heading back to the Hidden Leaf Village, as there were many matters for Minato to handle as Hokage, and now they needed to make arrangements for Toneri as well.

As the trio departed, silence once again enveloped the grand hall.

However, Asahi didn't choose to meditate but instead pulled out a Byakugan he had sealed away in his sleeve.

Using his spiritual sense, Asahi examined the Byakugan, noting the presence of numerous intricate, slowly fading networks within.

Even Asahi found the complexity of these networks to be quite daunting.

This wasn't the first time Asahi had encountered such networks. He had seen similar patterns within Nagato's Rinnegan.

Although there were some differences, many of the networks corresponded.

However, in Nagato's Rinnegan, these networks were already fully manifested.

Previously, without a point of comparison, Asahi hadn't paid much attention to these networks.

But now, a bold hypothesis formed in his mind: Could the evolution of the Byakugan and Sharingan be linked to these networks?

A flash of insight appeared in Asahi's eyes. If this were true, then the evolution of the Rinnegan and Tenseigan could potentially be traced and understood.

However, at this point, it was still just a theory. The answers could only be confirmed through results.

Without hesitation, Asahi began to channel his internal energy slowly into the Byakugan in his hand.

Because this was delicate work and the eye was fragile, Asahi proceeded with extreme caution, channeling his chakra at an exceptionally slow pace.

He only had this one special Byakugan, and damaging it would mean losing his best experimental subject.

As time passed, the Byakugan in Asahi's hand started to pulsate. With no prior experience to guide him, Asahi furrowed his brow slightly.

Yet he sensed no signs of damage in the Byakugan, so he continued his careful work.

Fortunately, Asahi didn't stop. Soon, the Byakugan emitted a faint blue glow.

Because of the chakra connection, Asahi could feel the immense ocular power within the Byakugan. It had evolved into a Tenseigan.

If he wished, Asahi could now use the Tenseigan to unleash various powerful ocular techniques. However, that wasn't his intent.

Gradually, he withdrew his chakra, and the Tenseigan reverted to an ordinary Byakugan.

Asahi understood that this was because the intricate networks hadn't permanently stabilized.

If the Byakugan maintained its Tenseigan state for a prolonged period, it would fully evolve into a Tenseigan.

Asahi was very pleased with this discovery. It confirmed that these networks were indeed the essence of ocular evolution.

This insight provided a clear direction for future efforts by those possessing the Sharingan and Byakugan.

While Asahi knew it would be difficult—after all, mapping such complex networks from scratch was a formidable challenge even for him—it at least gave his disciples a goal, preventing them from blindly hoping for luck.

With this realization, a bold new thought entered Asahi's mind. Why couldn't ordinary eyes develop these networks?

Indeed, while regular eyes might not have the extraordinary abilities of the Byakugan or Sharingan if they could develop such networks from scratch, there was no reason why ordinary eyes couldn't do the same.

This thought made Asahi suddenly excited. However, without any basis, he wasn't about to experiment with his own eyes.

After pondering this for a while, Asahi suddenly slapped his forehead. "I've been lost in my training. How could I overlook something so important?"

"If I don't have a basis, I just need to find one!" he muttered to himself, completely abandoning the demeanor of a powerful figure.

Anyone witnessing this would surely be surprised. With this realization, Asahi summoned the Orb of Archives from his mental sea.

If anything might contain records on this topic, it had to be this orb. Holding the Orb of Archives, Asahi slowly infused it with his spiritual energy.

Instantly, an endless expanse of information appeared before his eyes. Faced with such an overwhelming volume of texts, Asahi couldn't help but groan inwardly.

Finding the specific information he sought would be extremely challenging, even if it existed within these texts.

Nevertheless, his thirst for knowledge was now aroused, so he dived headfirst into the search.

It took a full half-hour before Asahi finally found the text he was looking for. Increasing his spiritual energy input, the contents of the book titled "Divine Eye Techniques" began to materialize in his mind.

To be honest, the book didn't contain many specific techniques.

However, the few techniques it did describe were so complex that Asahi's mind nearly burst from the strain of absorbing them.

Even though he had previously managed to memorize several comprehensive texts simultaneously, he had underestimated the "Divine Eye Techniques."

The sheer volume of information illustrated the immense power of these eye techniques.

However, Asahi had no time to marvel at their strength. Pale and exhausted, he rubbed his temples.

Despite managing to absorb the information, the immense data influx had taken a toll on his mental state.

Panting heavily, Asahi vowed never to recklessly absorb information from the Orb of Archives again.

It seemed that after spending so long at the pinnacle, he had become somewhat complacent.

Sitting cross-legged on his mat, Asahi closed his eyes and began channeling his energy to heal his body.

After fifteen minutes, his complexion had returned to normal. Taking a deep breath, Asahi then started to carefully study the contents of the text.

Despite the massive information load, the book detailed a single-eye technique comprising three divine powers: the Eye of God.

These divine powers were Judgment, Rebirth, and Samsara, each immensely powerful.

Unfortunately, Asahi couldn't grasp any of these divine powers yet.

Nonetheless, the text confirmed his hypothesis: eye abilities, aside from being innate, could indeed be cultivated by ordinary people.

As long as one can open various meridians in their eyes, interconnecting and resonating with certain principles, they can cultivate eye-related divine abilities.

All the eye-based kekkei genkai in the ninja world can be seen as innate divine abilities.

The three divine abilities recorded in the "Divine Eye Techniques" follow this principle.

However, the reason Asahi couldn't grasp even the basics of these divine abilities was simple: the principles were far too profound.

Whether it was developing or constructing the meridians, Asahi was utterly confused.

If the construction of meridians in the Tenseigan and Rinnegan were equivalent to middle school problems, the three abilities in the Divine Eye Techniques were like PhD research projects.

Asahi was certain that these three divine abilities were among the most advanced even in the myriad worlds.

Although he couldn't cultivate these divine abilities, Asahi wasn't disheartened.

Some of the simpler concepts already provided him with considerable insight.

Moreover, Asahi currently had two eye-related divine abilities he could cultivate: the Rinnegan and Tenseigan.

However, he had no plans to do so. This was because these divine abilities, which altered the structure of the eyes, could likely only be cultivated one at a time.

Therefore, keeping the Divine Eye Techniques as a trump card for the future was a sensible choice.

Naturally, Asahi felt that if there were texts on divine eyes, there must be texts on divine hands or divine feet within the Orb of Archives.

Sure enough, after some searching, he found several similar texts. However, he didn't read their contents.

He was just curious. He didn't need to use these divine abilities to horizontally enhance his strength at the moment.

Moreover, he suspected that these so-called divine abilities, like the Divine Eye Techniques, were beyond his current reach.

Instead of wasting time studying things far beyond his level, Asahi preferred to focus on his training and aim for a higher realm as soon as possible.

So, after finding those texts, he quickly returned to his training. Time passed, and before he knew it, three months had gone by.

During this period, Toneri had been living in Konoha for three months and had been quite happy.

Not only did he attend the Ninja Academy and make many friends, but he also felt deeply cared for by Kushina.

However, unlike Toneri, there was someone who was not very happy: Naruto Uzumaki, who was a year younger than Toneri.

As the child of the Hokage, Naruto, despite his love for pranks, was not arrogant.

He had always thought his biggest rival was that proud kid from the Uchiha clan who constantly competed with him for the top spot.

But this changed three months ago when a kid with Byakugan unexpectedly joined his family.

Although Toneri, being a year older, entered the second grade and couldn't compete with Naruto for the top spot in the first grade, Toneri had started gaining the attention and care of Kushina and Minato!
