The girl had already sat on the ground to rest due to excessive chakra consumption. Watching the girl resting cross-legged, Asahi took two steps forward.
Observing the meditating girl with closed eyes, Asahi couldn't recall who she was. Unlike Konoha, Masashi Kishimoto didn't provide much description of Sunagakure.
Additionally, it was challenging to remember ninjas with a significant age difference and no distinctive features.
Helplessly, Asahi also sat down on the ground, attempting to search his neglected memories. Shisui, Yugito, and Sakumo followed suit, not saying much.
It was evident that Asahi was interested in this girl, and since they all followed Asahi's lead, the three of them silently sat down, waiting for the girl to regain consciousness.
As time passed, the girl finally woke up from her meditation.
Feeling the replenished chakra in her body, Asahi smiled at her, curious about how much progress she could make.
However, contrary to Asahi's expectations, the girl didn't resume her training. Instead, she frowned and looked around her not far away. In front of her was Asahi himself.
Suddenly, the girl jumped backward, showing such decisiveness that it surprised Asahi.
Sakumo and the others were equally astonished. What was happening? Did this girl somehow detect their presence?
However, they quickly dismissed this speculation.
After all, this was a genjutsu cast by Asahi, and even though he didn't put much effort into it, it wasn't something an average Chunin could see through. So, what was the reason?
The four's confusion was soon unraveled—they were exposed! As the girl moved backward, her hands swiftly formed seals.
"Wind Release: Great Breakthrough!"
Asahi easily recognized this jutsu, but what left him speechless was that it was directed towards him. Although, for Asahi, this jutsu was pitifully weak.
Yet, Asahi felt annoyed. He couldn't understand what was happening. Logically, the girl shouldn't have noticed his presence.
Now that they were revealed, Asahi had no intention of continuing to hide.
With a wave of his hand, chakra gushed out making the girl's jutsu disappear. Simultaneously, Asahi lifted the genjutsu that had been continuously active on him.
As the genjutsu dissolved, the figures of Asahi and the others entered the girl's eyes.
Not bothering about the jutsu she had just performed or the inexplicable disappearance, the girl watched Asahi and the others vigilantly.
As soon as she woke up, she felt something was amiss in front of her. There had been some changes compared to when she was training.
Although she didn't think much about it initially, considering the recent wars in the ninja world and fearing the infiltration of spies, she cautiously attacked.
Unexpectedly, this attack had struck gold, revealing a big fish.
Asahi revealed himself, and in that instant, the girl prepared to escape. Feeling a bit pressured, she was sure she couldn't defeat the people in front of her.
So, she intended to temporarily escape and report to the village.
Asahi, seeing the girl attempting to flee, immediately used a sealing technique to seal her chakra. With no chakra support, the girl lost her balance in mid-air and fell.
With no hope of saving herself, as she saw her face about to make intimate contact with the ground, the girl closed her eyes in fear.
However, the expected pain did not come.
Opening her eyes, she found that the person who had been standing at the front had grabbed her clothes and was holding her in mid-air.
The girl struggled despairingly for a moment. Unexpectedly, before she could contribute to the village's strength, she was about to die at the hands of invaders.
Feeling the girl's struggle in his grip, Asahi exerted a little force and placed her on the ground.
As for sealing her chakra, it was purely to prevent her from escaping; Asahi didn't want to unnecessarily complicate things.
The despairing girl, seated on the ground, defiantly lifted her head to look at Asahi.
She swore that no matter how much Asahi threatened her, she wouldn't betray any information about the village.
Even though she didn't possess any crucial information, her attitude was resolute! "Give up, I won't say anything."
The girl declared with a firm gaze, completely ignoring the pain that had just shot through her backside.
Hearing her words, Asahi looked at her with speechless eyes.
What did she take Asahi for? An invader? A spy? Come on, if he wanted to attack Sunagakure, did he need to sneak in?
He could just charge indirectly. "Stop acting all loyal and fearless here; I'm not a bad person."
Asahi shook his head helplessly. Hearing this, the girl sneered dismissively. Not a bad person? Did he think she would believe that?
Sneaking into Sunagakure stealthily, and capturing her while trying to steal information and he claimed not to be a bad person?
Huh, she wasn't a three-year-old child; how could she believe such nonsense? Bad people never admit they're bad.
Thinking this, the girl closed her mouth and refused to say a word. Whoever you are, as long as I stay silent, it's fine.
Seeing the girl's attitude, Asahi rubbed his temples with a slight headache. Why was this kid so wary?
"I've said it; I'm not a bad person. Have you ever seen someone infiltrating with a child around him?"
Asahi explained helplessly, only bothering because of curiosity and expectation.
Hearing this, the girl paused, looking at the newly appeared Shisui and Yugito behind Asahi, lost in thought.
This person seemed to make some sense. "No, if you're not a spy infiltrating Sunagakure, why did you catch me and seal my chakra?"
Suddenly, she realized that if Asahi and his group were innocent, why would they be so afraid of her escaping?
"You were the one trying to escape. I restrained you to avoid trouble."
"I'll lift the seal now, but you can't run away. Otherwise, I'll have to catch you again." Asahi explained while removing the seal from the girl.
"Are you not a bad person? Then why were you so sneaky?" Feeling her chakra restored, the girl looked at Asahi with some confusion.
This time, she didn't attempt to escape, standing up obediently. After all, she knew that even if she ran, she wouldn't get far.
It was better, to see what Asahi had in mind.
