"Where did Kushina go? Why did you let you act alone?" Asahi sat on the chair, looking at Kurenai in front of him, and asked in an unhappy voice.

Kurenai naturally sensed Asahi's displeasure, but it had nothing to do with Kushina. They could only blame themselves for not being able to stay idle.

So, when Asahi asked such a question, Kurenai had to widen her eyes and pretend to be pitiful, saying, "Master, this matter can't be blamed on Sister Kushina. She was sent out on a mission."

"Originally, we should have waited in the camp for Sister Kushina to come back. But, waiting for so long makes us bored"

"It just so happened that Ebisu's team took on a small task. We were bored and went with them. Who knew this kind of accident would happen"

Asahi looked helplessly at Kurenai's flashing big eyes and had nothing to say.

What can he say? He can't let Kushina do nothing other than just staring at Obito and Kurenai all day long.

There is nothing to say, too many unexpected things, and plans will never keep up with changes.

"Okay, stop pretending to be pitiful. When Kushina will be back?" Asahi rubbed his brows and asked Kurenai helplessly.

Kurenai, seeing that her master was no longer pursuing the matter, showed a smile on her face.

"I'm not sure, but before Kushina left, she said it would take at least half a month, and it's only been two days."

"Half a month? Forget it, I'll leave with Shisui after he wakes up."

After some contemplation, Asahi decided not to wait for Kushina. There wasn't much to do anyway.

"Oh, Master, you're leaving so soon?" Kurenai asked in surprise.

Asahi nodded, "I already plan to train Shisui in this journey while stopping by here but as you said, unexpected things happen."

"Alright then."

Kurenai felt a bit unhappy. Well, her master was good in every way, except that they couldn't meet often.

.....

After Kurenai left, Asahi sat cross-legged on the bed in the tent specially prepared for him by Konoha, practicing to replenish the chakra he had consumed.

Of course, this special treatment wasn't because his strength was well-known to Konoha, but rather because Kushina's reputation was too significant.

As soon as the person in charge of the camp heard that Asahi was Kushina's master, they immediately arranged a single room for Asahi.

You see, in this month, he had endured quite a few beatings from Kushina.

Unable to win in a fight and afraid to use dirty tricks, he could only endure.

While Asahi was meditating, Might Guy and his team were gathered together, discussing plans.

Although the death of their Jōnin mentor saddened them, it wasn't the first time they had experienced such a thing.

While grief needed to be remembered, ninjas couldn't always dwell in sorrow.

After burying and paying respects to their fallen Jōnin mentor, a more serious issue lay ahead for them.

Still being Genin but losing their Jōnin mentor, the only option before them was to split up and join other teams.

Moreover, the responsible individuals in Konoha were already studying this matter, and what awaited their team was nothing but dissolution.

With the imminent separation, the enthusiasm of the three wasn't high at the moment.

"Ah~ I can't believe we have to part ways after just forming a team a month ago."

Wandering through Konoha's camp, Ebisu let out a sigh, expressing his sentiments.

"Yeah, and we don't even know which team we'll be assigned to. I hope the atmosphere in the new team is as good as it is now."

With a toothpick in his mouth, Genma Shiranui looked up at the sky and expressed his helplessness.

Having experienced life-and-death situations, they had matured quite a bit.

Casual conversations flowed from their mouths, unaware that these voices were already heard by Asahi, who was in the midst of his training.

Not for any particular reason, but because they happened to walk past Asahi's tent.

As Asahi was in a state of meditation, he subconsciously extended his sensory perception.

Combined with the proximity of the three, he naturally overheard their conversation.

A thought crossed Asahi's mind as he listened to their conversation; it seemed the three hadn't been assigned to new teams yet.

Should he consider taking Might Guy under his wing?

He hadn't had the chance to investigate Might Guy's talents yet, and Guy was originally on his list of potential apprentices.

With this in mind, Asahi stood up and walked outside the tent.

Might Guy and his team hadn't gone far, and upon hearing the sound, they instinctively turned their heads.

To their surprise, it was none other than Asahi, the one who had saved them.

Having such powerful individuals like Obito and Kurenai as mentors, it was impossible for Might Guy's team not to feel envy.

Unfortunately, everyone has their destiny. Since they didn't have the opportunity to enter Asahi's tutelage, their admiration was all they could do.

"Hello, Lord Asahi."

Although they were not close, Might Guy and his team respectfully bowed to Asahi.

Asahi just nodded and shifted his gaze to Might Guy.

"System, inspect Might Guy's talent."

"Ding~ Might Guy, Talent A+, Talent Affinity: Taijutsu."

As expected, Asahi had speculated that Might Guy had at least an A-level talent. Now, the system's inspection confirmed it—Talent A+.

Although Might Guy's personality was a bit... well, unique, the allure of the system's rewards was irresistible.

Coupled with an A+ talent, even a peculiar personality was acceptable.

With this in mind, Asahi waved at Might Guy, signaling him to come over for a chat.

Might Guy was a bit bewildered at this moment, glanced at his teammates, and asked, "Uh, Lord Asahi, are you calling me?"

Genma Shiranui and Ebisu quickly pushed Might Guy forward, urging him to go over.

After all, Might Guy's performance was so outstanding; perhaps Asahi would take a closer look at him.

If Might Guy could have a good opportunity, they would be genuinely happy for him.

Watching Might Guy jog up to him, Asahi finally had time to carefully assess this future Taijutsu powerhouse.

"Lord Asahi, feel free to give any orders!"

As Asahi scrutinized him, Might Guy bowed respectfully.

Lacking the restraint of an ordinary person, Might Guy's thoughts as a rare beast at this moment were solely focused on how to repay Asahi, their mutual lifesaver.

"Come inside for a chat."

As Asahi spoke, he turned and walked back into the tent.

"Yes."

Might Guy acknowledged and followed Asahi into the tent.

...

"I heard your team is going to disband, and you'll be assigned to another team?"

Upon entering, Asahi went straight to the point.

"Yes, Lord Asahi. We received the notification right after returning to the camp."

Without hesitation, Might Guy answered.

"Do you have confirmation about the new team you'll be joining?"

"I haven't received any notice yet."

Though unsure of Asahi's intentions, Might Guy honestly replied.

"In that case, how about becoming my apprentice, joining the team with Kushina, Obito, and Kurenai?"
