Asahi's attention was immediately drawn to Teuchi.
Unlike the relaxed skin portrayed in anime, Teuchi's young skin was firm.
His eyes weren't the half-closed eyes seen in anime; though small, they were still clearly distinguishable.
Asahi couldn't help but admit that Teuchi looked handsome when he was young, no wonder Ayame was so attractive... Ahem, never mind~
"Boss, a bowl of extra-large pork bone ramen!"
As soon as they sat down, Jiraiya looked at today's menu at Ichiraku Ramen and shouted loudly, completely forgetting the embarrassment he faced earlier.
"I'll have seafood ramen, thank you." Orochimaru also placed his order.
"I'll go with the pork bone ramen. What about you, Lord Asahi?" Tsunade finished ordering and turned to Asahi.
"I'll have the same as you." Asahi was indifferent about the food; his attention was entirely focused on observing Teuchi.
"Okay, one extra-large pork bone ramen, one seafood ramen, two regular pork bone ramens with extra meat! Jiraiya treats!"
Tsunade was straightforward, and Teuchi didn't find anything wrong with it. It was habitual.
Teuchi conveyed that he was accustomed to Tsunade's actions.
"Alright, one extra-large pork bone ramen, one seafood ramen, two regular pork bone ramens with extra meat! Please wait a moment; your ramen will be ready soon."
Saying this, Teuchi got up and went to the kitchen to prepare the ramen, completely disregarding Jiraiya's darkening face.
Surprisingly, Teuchi's ramen-making had a sense of beauty; his movements were extremely skilled.
During the wait, the conversation among the four was quite enjoyable.
The Sannin introduced Asahi to some of their usual missions, and Asahi shared some insights and the daily routines of his disciples that they didn't know.
Of course, most of these insights were modern, carefully selected by Asahi to satisfy the curiosity of the three.
Listening to Asahi's eloquent explanations, various seemingly profound topics constantly flowed from his mouth.
Topics like storing solar energy and converting it into the power of lightning, or discussions about biology...
Fresh terms made Orochimaru's eyes light up, and even Tsunade showed genuine interest in these subjects.
Though Jiraiya wasn't interested in these things, Asahi's teaching philosophy intrigued him.
As a teacher himself, he also carried the mission of finding the Child of Destiny. Hearing about Asahi's training methods for the Konoha Sannin, Jiraiya found it quite beneficial.
However, despite their continuous conversation, Asahi still dedicated a part of his attention to observe Teuchi making ramen.
Unfortunately, no matter how he observed, he didn't notice anything different about Teuchi.
This person just seemed like an ordinary individual without chakra, no matter how you looked at him.
Even when Asahi used the system to check his talents, he barely got a D-grade, not recommended for apprenticeship at all.
Of course, even if it were possible, Asahi wouldn't consider taking Teuchi as an apprentice.
Setting aside Teuchi's thoughts on the matter, the idea of making him a disciple and teaching him Chinese cuisine was out of the question.
"Customers, here's your ramen. Please enjoy!"
Teuchi carried trays of ramen, placing them in front of the four.
Especially extravagant was Jiraiya's portion; his bowl was practically larger than the others' two combined. The ingredients were generous, justifying its price.
As the enticing aroma wafted through the air, the appetites of Asahi and the others couldn't be restrained.
Jiraiya immediately joined his hands, muttering a quick "Let's eat!" before picking up his chopsticks and devouring his ramen, seemingly impervious to its heat.
Tsunade and Orochimaru followed suit, announcing their intent to eat before digging into their meals, albeit more gracefully than Jiraiya.
Though modern dining habits didn't include announcing "Let's eat" beforehand, after four years in this world, Asahi had adapted to the local customs.
Following the tradition, he clasped his hands together, muttered a quick "Let's eat," and eagerly took a bite of Ichiraku Ramen.
Since Teuchi didn't bring any surprises, Asahi hoped that Ichiraku Ramen could offer a different experience.
Sure enough, as the ramen touched his tongue, Asahi felt the delightful chewiness of Ichiraku's noodles, complemented by a flavorful broth. Surprisingly, it tasted quite good.
While the ramen he had in the modern era also had excellent flavor, there was a subtle difference in texture between the two.
Though the taste of ramen might not differ significantly, the nuances in texture were quite pronounced.
Accustomed to the modern ramen with rich spices, Asahi instantly fell in love with the freshness of Ichiraku Ramen.
He gave a thumbs up to Teuchi and began to savor his ramen in earnest.
Teuchi, pleased with Asahi's approval, remembered every customer who visited his shop, whether they liked his ramen or not.
He could confidently say that Asahi was a first-time customer at his ramen shop.
For Teuchi, this was a reason to rejoice. It was particularly heartening for someone like him, who loved ramen as if it were his life.
"Kushina, why do we have to have a date at Ichiraku Ramen? It's not even mealtime, and I just got back from a mission."
"What's wrong with having a date at Ichiraku Ramen, and what's wrong with it not being mealtime? Can't we come for a bowl of ramen even if it's not mealtime? We're here for a bowl of ramen to treat you well after your mission!"
As Asahi enjoyed his ramen, a voice suddenly echoed from outside.
Hearing the conversation between the two, Asahi instantly knew who was approaching.
Jiraiya and Tsunade were immediately intrigued, their eyes shifting towards the entrance.
Only Orochimaru, without a hint of curiosity, continued to eat his ramen in a calm manner.
It seemed like the ramen in the bowl was even more important than the people outside.
Indeed, as the curtain lifted, a man and a woman walked in.
The man had golden hair and deep blue eyes, radiating an exceptionally pure aura with a warm touch.
The woman, like Nagato, had vibrant crimson hair. However, unlike Nagato, she exuded a lively and energetic vibe.
As expected, the visitors were none other than the future Hokage of Konoha and the current Jinchuriki of the Nine-Tails—Kushina Uzumaki and Minato Namikaze.
Kushina and Minato couldn't help but feel a strange sense of awkwardness.
Normally, they wouldn't casually release their sensory perception in the village unless there was a reason.
Besides, it wasn't mealtime, so who would have expected someone to be eating ramen?
However, the key issue wasn't the random passersby.
The problem was that the people enjoying their meal were none other than their own teacher and his teammates! Now, that was awkward.
Upon entering, they were met with the intense gazes of the group.
It felt like the awkward moment when you sneak out for a date, and your parents unexpectedly catch you.
