Friday arrived and everything was ready. My parents left early. Junu, Samaye, and Hariram were next to leave. Rojin was still in his walk-in closet. I was in mine. My mother had insisted I should wear a sari but I refused. I wanted to wear something comfortable which was of course a dress.
The summer season was near but the air was still chilly these days. I wore a long off-shoulder velvet dress. I liked myself in it the instant I looked in the mirror.
"Perfect," I whispered.
I walked out of the closet and went to sit on the bed. I waited for Rojin but he didn't come out. I started to tap my feet looking towards the balcony.
I heard him walk out. When I turned to look at him I couldn't take my eyes off him.He was wearing a suit. I sighed looking at him. My heart was whispering perfect. I couldn't look away now that I had seen him.
He cleared his throat. I slowly got up.
"We are late," I whispered still staring at him.
