And that is the reason why they are still living here with me. They are a good and loving family. So, if something bad might happened to them. I will never forgive myself. I sighed. I heard some knocked on my door.
"Are you ready?" Drea asked.
"Just wait for a minute," I uttered.
I continue brushing my black long silky hair while staring at my reflection. I saw the woman wearing a cerulean navy blue uniform. It was a dress design with white long sleeves and a midnight blue lining. It was paired up by a navy blue cardigan. Until I notice the emblem. A water dragon with flaming blue fire. I softly touched it.
"Saint Laurenttia University." I smiled. This is my 36th school but so far, this uniform is my most favorite it compliments my eye color. I chuckled. I put my comb on it proper place before I stand up. I looked at my face. I don't need to put makeup. My cheeks are natural pink flush colored the same as my lips. I love my bare face and if they don't like that...
"They should look for my freaking care," I smirked.
It's a natural behavior for a human to judge. Although it was a bad thing to do. We can't help it. Even though, you don't say it aloud. Your freaking eyes and mind are started talking some crap to someone and don't try to deny it. Don't try to clean your dirty hands because it's true. But even, the world is full of judgemental people. Be true to yourself. Don't mind them because the most important is, you love yourself more than anyone else.
I heard a loud knocked. My eyes widened. I looked at the clock. Twenty minutes have passed. I'm doomed!
"Eunice hurry up! I will be late you bitch! You said a minute but it turns a half hour!" I heard Dria's shouting outside my room.
"What the heck are you do--!" I hurriedly run to the door and quickly opened it. I smiled sweetly to her and her eyes narrowed.
"Tell me, are you staring at yourself again?" she irritatedly asked at me. She crossed her hands over her chest. I softly touched my cheeks and I give her a goofy grinned.
"Is that bad? To appreciate my lovely face." I grinned. She facepalmed. She shooked her head like she was acting. I did a crazy thing. I pouted.
"What a boastful woman! For how many thousand years seeing your face in every mirror didn't you experience being puke or what?" She irritatedly asked. I smiled wildly at her.
"Nope and not gonna happened," I said happily and she walked outside and I followed her but before I leave my room. I make sure that I double-check if I securely locked it. Not because I don't trust them but the timeline in my room is too far different outside of this house and if someone entered my room without my permission, he will trap there for a year. But when he goes out, it was just a day. This means that the time inside my room is much faster than the time outside. But if, when I'm inside of my room the time will stop like there are no magical events happened. I sighed.
"Mom we will go!" Dria said. She walks toward her mother and kissed her cheeks.
"Study Well Dria. Don't do anything stupid, okay?" Tita Halley warned. While Dria scratched softly her neck.
"I even study ha--"
"The last time I checked you are suspended in your last school because you punched a kid and not just that. You even insulted your Professor in History World Literature because of single misinformation." Tita Halley uttered. She even narrowed her eyes and stared at her like she was extremely right. I looked at Dria she was pouting like she was a guilty goat. I giggled.
"Mom I did that because I gave a lesson to that kid that being a pervert boy was bad. I know I was mean at that time but hey! It was for his own good and that Bald Professor he keeps saying and debating that he was freaking right. Is it too hard to admit that you're wrong? Does it make you less human? Gosh! That old man!" Dria explained and she crossed her arms. I see her flashy nose, sign that she was irritatedly remembering those tremendous memories. I facepalmed.
If I was a boastful woman and she was a prideful woman. And yeah were best friends.
Tita Halley sighed that she was giving up to their little debate but I was shocked when she pinched her daughter's nose. Nakita ko naman napapikit si Dria dahil siguro sa sobrang sakit.
"M-Mom Ouch! Let go of my n-nose. Ma-la-late na ako." Dria pleased. I almost forgot about that. I took glanced at the clock. It was a half-hour before her class start and we must better leave right away. This is the first day she will receive a reminder letter. I looked to Tita Halley and shooked my head to stop them and she moves away. I stared at them. They are young compared to my real age but I looked like the youngest one. I pouted.
"Thank God. At least my nose is still intact to my gorgeous face." Dria sarcastically uttered. Her mom looked dagger to her.
"Just kidding! I love you, Mom." Dria said before she runs away and quickly entered the car. We both laughed at her action. I looked at Tita Halley. She holds my hands and she noticed that my pendant is still hung freely on my dress. I forgot to hide it. I sighed.
She holds my pendant and hides it to my uniform. "You should take care of yourself Eunice and don't let others see your pendant. It will create chaos in both different worlds," she warned and I half-smiled at her.
"Don't worry no one can take it away from me. This is my chain and anchor Halley." I said and hugged her. She caressed my back before she let me go.
She sweetly smiled "Take care."
"You too." I smiled. Before I walked away and entered the car. I sit on the passenger seat. We looked to Tita Hailey and wave our hands before she starts the engine and drives away.
I unconsciously hold my clepsydra pendant. I took out to my uniform and stared at it. Clepsydra is a water clock pendant and also known as a Tri-Clock. It was consisting of three powerful combination clock to form as one. It was made to control the different timeline of the universe, the human's clock, and my time.
"Does Mom warned you again?" she asked. I nodded.
"She just did her job." I sighed. "I was too reckless to do not notice nakalabas ang pendant ko. What if someone took it away from me? I don't know what would happen." I worriedly said.
I never heard any word from her. She stays quiet but I notice she drive fast like she was racing. I tightly hold to my seat belt.
"Hey! Slow down." I said but she ignores me and she pulled the the geer lever and stepped to the accelerator. She hurriedly opened the window and the strong wind came in. I raised my hand to covered my eyes to the dust that mixed in the air.
"Dria stop this now! You bitch!" I said but she stares blank at me and suddenly she grabs my pendant and throws it outside the car.
The time was automatically slow down as a defense mechanism of my Clepsydra. I saw it almost touching the ground but suddenly it flies back at me and forcefully pushes to my neck. It makes me cough because of the sudden force before it was painfully locked up in my neck again. I noticed that the time resumed again. I touched my neck and throw my sharpest glance at her but she just managed to raise her eyebrow to me and act a brave bitch.
"Do you even think what would happen if this Clepsydra breaks or lost some parts? Huh!" I coldly said. I seriously looked at her. She stays quiet and bit her lower lip.
"You and your reckless action can kill this stup--!"
"I did that to prove to you that your pendant will never ever leave you. No one can get that away from you. No one can break it. Even our world destroys. The pendant will get back to normal and hung again to your neck." She rapidly said. She slows down until she stopped the car. She took a glance at me.
"I'm sorry Eunice but that's the only thing that I know to make you stop thinking about those things. Thinking those impossible things will never help you to find your true mission," she stated. I sighed.
She was right. Thinking about those unrealistic events never help me to find the reason why I'm here. I sighed. I took a glance at her.
"I'm sorry." I apologetically smiled at her and she gave me a lopsided grin.
"It's okay. It's been a long time the last time I did that and I'm so proud to myself even though my toes still shivered its really satisfying," she said happily. I laughed
I still remember how we become friends. There is no day nor night we didn't shout to each other because she thought I will steal her mother from her. Until she saw me as her mortal enemy but something came up, I was her swimming instructor or coach at that time and she was in her 4th grade. I saw her she was being bullied by her so-called friend and they even pushed her on the 6 ft. pool. No one tries to help her so I jump at the water and saved her. And tada were friends!
She was a brave child who can shout at me whenever she wants and as time goes by she treats me as her older sister but she always bitch me out. She never changed and I'm thankful for that.
I took a glanced on the window and I noticed that the large tree covering the whole highway. Meaning we are closed to our destination. I small smiled form to my lips.
"Wow! Are you sure this is the right path?" She asked. I chuckled.
"Yes, this is our school," I uttered. She gasped. I know she saw it.
"It looked like a freaking huge castle. Is there any royalty there? Or a prince charming? Or a king?" she asked. What the heck?
"Ano bang tingin mo rito? Kingdom of Royalties?" pang-uuyam na tanong ko. "Gosh Dria! Stop watching Korean Novela." sabi ko. Nakita ko namang napanguso ito.
"Stop watching Korean Novela." she mimicked and narrowed her eyes to me.
"May I remind you Eunice Mellieya Timber. You are the one who recommends all the movies that I've been watching these past few months. Now if you promise to me that you will stop watching K-Drama. I will stop too." she teased.
"Hey! That's b-below the belt." mahinang saad ko. Nakita ko namang ngumisi siya. Like she won the bet.
"That's impossible to happen," I uttered.
"And so am I too," she said before she stopped the car. Napansin kong nasa school na kami at naka-park na siya. Una siyang lumabas sa sasakyan at sumunod ako. Nakita ko siyang nakatayo sa tapat ng emblem ng school at ngayon ko lang napansin ang suot niyang uniform.
It was a white long sleeve with raffles and a cerulean blue with a gold lining. The emblem of the school was on her ribbon. It suits her.
Naglakad ako papunta sa kaniya at huminto sa harap niya kung nasaan nasa tapat ng ulunan ko ang emblem ng school. Ngumiti ako ng malawak sa kaniya.
