-MARQUIS RESIDENCE-

"Welcome back, Madam and miss," Sir, Sebi greet them along with the other servant's, wondering why their master got home so early.

"Where's your master?" Madam Rose asks in a serious tone.

"His inside his office, Madam," Sir, Sebi reply,

"Okay, Vendia, get inside your room for a while. Don't roam around without my permission," Madam Rose instructed,

"But, mother, I want to go with you," Vendia insist,

"Vendia, just do what I say,"

"But, mother, I'm worried. May I know what is going on?"

"Vendia, do what I tell you to do. Ask no more questions,"

"But, mother,"

"VENDIA!" Madam Rose raises her voice in anger.

"Rose!" Sir Aloit joined in. Madam Rose got surprised and deep sigh feeling sorry for raising her voice towards her daughter. She went over to her and, hug her,

"I'm sorry," She apologies, as Vendia hug her back,

"I'm sorry too, Mother," Vendia also apologies,

"Don't apologize,"

'You did nothing wrong,' Madam Rose thought,

"But,"

"Vendia, I can't tell you about the situation yet, because you still haven't regained your memories back,"

"Mother?" Vendia call as they let go of each other and lock eyes.

"You won't understand everything even if I tell you,"

'And even if I tell you. You only deceive yourself by thinking that you had done something wrong. I don't want to see you suffer through your past again, so let your parents handle this instead. We will protect you this time,' Madam Rose concern thoughts.

"You understand, mother, right?" Madam Rose ask,

"Yes, I understand you, mother," Vendia answer smiling,

'Is Vendia, fault again. Her past keeps haunting her like a never-ending thread,' Yerre thoughts.

"Don't worry. I will come by at your chamber after your father and, I had done talking,"

"Okay, mother," Vendia respond, then Madam Rose leave her be and went to her husband's office with some of her servants tailing,

"Vendia, are you okay?" Sir, Aloit speak,

"Yes, Sir, Aloit," Vendia answer smiling, but inside she's sad and hurting,

"Mary, escort Miss, Vendia back to her chamber now," Sir, Aloit instructed,

"Yes, Sir," Mary reply then they both proceed to Vendia's chamber, as Sir Aloit followed Madam Rose to Lord Marthen's office.

*LORD MARTHEN OFFICE*

"I told you so many times that we should leave this place already!" Madam Rose raises her voice in anger. They're fighting over what happened earlier at Mrs. Jean's tea party.

"Rose, calm down. The duchess only suspects our daughter. She doesn't have proof. Don't let your emotion eat you away. Go take a rest for a while to our room," Lord Marthen respond,

"No! Let's leave this place now!" Madam Rose insisted,

"What are you so afraid of?" Lord Marthen ask,

"I don't know," Madam Rose answer,

"You don't know? Our daughter did nothing bad towards their daughter," Lord Marthen respond,

"How can you be so certain!"

"Because I trust her! I trust our daughter, and I know she did nothing that can harm us. How about you, do you even trust your daughter?"

"I'm... how can I? She hurt herself! How can I trust her?"

"So, you're saying that the duchess speculation towards our daughter is true?"

"No! Of course not!"

"Then stop this nonsense and calm down everything will be all right,"

"But, even so. I still want us to leave this place this instant,"

"Rose... is not that simple to leave everything here. Are you even thinking straight?" Lord Marthen reply,

"I AM! And I am worried about my daughter! Our daughter!"

"Why you keep repeating the same thing? I told you so many times to never worried about it. That I am here. I can protect you both,"

"You always say that, but look at the outcomes! Your daughter, our daughter! LOOK! Look at her now!" Madam Rose bursts down from anger as she cries out, worried for her daughter's safety and future.

"Rose..." Lord, Marthen went speechless,

"You know what? I don't care about this property and all this luxurious life. All I want is for my daughter to be away from here and live life out of judgment and suffering. Do you understand?" Madam Rose explain,

"But, Rose. If we do that, it means that we are only running away from our problem,"

"So what? Can't we have a break? Are we not allowed to run away from it? We're human beings that have feelings, minds, hearts, and souls. Human beings get hurt and got exhausted. We are not a metal being or rock that can't feel."

"What Marthen, trying to say, is if you avoid the problem and run away, sacrifice things that give you all a chance to fix everything. And for the result, you will all only suffer your entire life," Sir, Aloit announce his arrival inside the room,

"You! How come you're here?" Madam Rose ask,

"I've been here for almost one hour now," Sir, Aloit reply,

'This nosy panther!' Madam Rose complains, annoyed because of Sir Aloit's presence inside the room,

"And why you here? This matter supposed to be for a family member only," Madam Rose responds,

"How cruel. I'm part of this family too, you know?" Sir, Aloit, acting hurt. Madam Rose deep sigh,

"Tsk!" Madam Rose scoff,

"May I ask, what's the problem?" Sir, Aloit ask,

"The duchess accuse Vendia about her daughter," Lord, Marthen answer,

"So? What about it?"

"Don't you understand? She accuses my daughter of hurting her daughter!" Madam Rose raises her voice in annoyance.

"And so? Does she even have a proof for saying such things towards your daughter?" Sir Aloit pointed out,

"No," Madam Rose answer,

"Then? Why you're acting like she is right?" Sir, Aloit mention,

"What?" Madam Rose surprised,

"Look, Rose, leaving this place is not an option." Sir Aloit explains,

"Why you think so?" Madam Rose asks,

"Because if you all left this place, that only means that what the duchess say towards Vendia all of it will become true," Sir, Aloit explains,

"That's what I've been trying to tell her, but she won't listen," Lord Marthen speak out,

"No, you didn't," Madam Rose object,

"Yes, I did," Lord Marthen defend,

"No, you didn't,"

"Yes, I did!"

"No, you didn't!"

"Okay, STOP!" Sir Aloit stop them from arguing further.

"I still want us to leave this place," Madam Rose still insist,

"Rose..." Sir, Aloit give up,

"Rose, leaving everything doesn't change the fact that we are facing a problem," Lord Marthen speak,

"But," Madam Rose still wants to pursue her judgment,

"That's right," Sir, Aloit agree,

"Shut up, Aloit. You're not helping," Madam Rose annoyed.

"Ouch! How rude, I am trying, you know,"

"Hemp! Then do it," Madam Rose demand,

"Okay, then what do you want me to do?" Sir, Aloit ask in a serious tone,

"Can you perform your duty as a marquis knight again?" Madam Rose ask,

"Of curse, duh... That is what I've been doing this damn, whole time," Sir, Aloit respond,

"Are you mocking me right now?" Madam Rose asks, annoyed.

"Ahem! I'm sorry. So what now?" Sir, Aloit apologies,

"Become, Vendia full-time knight," Madam Rose demand,

"Okay," Sir, Aloit reply,

"Are you sure?" Lord Marthen asks, surprised,

"Yes, how can I reject such a wonderful offer? Besides, Vendia is like my child too. And I also want to protect her just like you two,"

"Oh, look at the person who went on the missing list for years has spoken up," Madam Rose scoff,

"Hey, is true I was not here for so long years but I didn't forget my duty as the last receiver of your father duty, you know,"

"Yeah, right," Madam Rose tease,

"Hemp!"

"Then we need to inform, Vendia about this on hand," Lord Marthen mention,

"Okay, let us inform her later this afternoon," Madam Rose responds,

"Great, so where is my uniform? And on what day shall I start as, Vendia, knight?" Sir, Aloit ask,

"Tomorrow," Madam Rose answer,

"Okay then,"

'I will never let the accusation win over the truth. I will protect my child from all people who tried to drag her down,' Madam Rose oath,

"Rose?" Sir Aloit called.

"Yes?"

"Marthen, had been calling you for so long why you're in deep thought?" Sir, Aloit ask,

"Nothing is none of your business," Madam Rose answer,

"Ouch! That kind of hurt you know," Sir, Aloit acting hurt,

"Shut up, honey, why do you call me for?" Madam Rose respond,

"Oh, nothing I already ask Sebi for tea and snacks," Lord Marthen answer,

"Okay,"

"Ah… I already miss my wife," Sir Aloit whine,

"Then, go to her, why you're even here," Madam Rose responds,

"Ouch, you don't want me here anymore?"

"Shut up,"

'Je Je Je she is so easy to piss off,' Sir Aloit thought,

To be continued...
