Chapter 4 - 4

HEROINE AND MY VILLAINESS

(Seize the time you have and treasure it with all your life)

-Marquis residence-

In the evening, I can't sleep thinking through all these phenomena. I keep bouncing in my bed back and forth, feeling uneasy and uncomfortable.

"I still can't believe that I will end up here when I die,"

'What should I do now? Should I plot a plan to survive?'

"But, I don't know which part I am in now and, I can't still think straight because this scares me. All of this is very weird," I felt a shiver down my spine and hug my big pillow beside me to calm me down.

'If only Alda is here, she will help me through this,'

I continue running my thoughts through whole things that have been going on. Tell, I give up and get out of my bed and went outside for fresh air.

"The night here is also cold," I mention, forgot to wear a jacket.

"Milady?" I hear a man's voice at my back, and I turned around and saw,

'Sir Sebi? The marquis head butler,'

"Oh, Miss Vendia. My name is Sebi, the head butler of the Marquis Residences. It's good to see you well. Young Miss,"

Wait, why did he introduce himself to me? The real Vendia already knew him, so why? Oh right, mother and father must have told them about my condition.

"Oh, yes, thank you, and it's nice to meet you too. Sir Sebi," I bowed to his surprise.

"What are you doing outside? Is cold why, you didn't, bring a cover for you to stay warm," He asks, concerned, and went close to me.

"Oh, I forgot," I answer.

"You can't sleep?" He asks,

"Ahh... yes," I replied, looking up to the sky full of stars.

"Mind if I barge in?" He asks,

"No, not at all,"

"Thank you,"

We sat on the bench together and heard the silence of the night together in quiet.

"Sir Sebi," I call out for him.

"Yes?" he answers,

"What was I like in the past? Did I offend you all?" I ask, so I can know what was going on inside this book because reality is the most important's thing to survive.

"Well, sometimes, you do. But, we know you didn't mean it," Sir Sebi answers. I look at him, surprised.

"Are you sure?" I ask,

"Yes, after you did something terrible to us, the master and madam will come and make us understand why you did those things to us,"

"They do?" I reply, surprised,

"Yes, You've grown to be someone you can't control as years pass by. But, we understand, no one should blame for it. You let it overflow and destroyed you. Because you isolated yourself from people who loved you," Sir Sebi mentions, and I grin.

"Uh... well,"

'So, Vendia and her servants are on good terms. That's a relief. But, what Sir Sebi said towards Vendia is true. Vendia rejects them, and the reason is, she can't show and explain it all to them. And in the end, they end up not understanding her, tell Vendia die,'

"I still remember the times where I first come here to work. You were still a little child. You were always smiling and bright. It seems the world is freely running through you," Sir Sebi reminisces the past.

"I do?" I ask, listening to what he's saying.

"Yes, the madam and master is so happy too, till one day after you come back from the palace everything then changed," He looked somehow sad and happy,

'Ahh... yes, I remember now. That is the first time Vendia and the crown prince meet, and after that, things then got messy,'

"Sir Sebi,"

"Yes?"

"Can I ask you something serious?"

"Yes, go ahead,"

"Do you prefer my memory to come back, or you prefer for me. To rather forget it all and start new," I ask as Sir Sebi looks at me, surprised for a minute, then smiles.

"Well, for me. I prefer you to start new and leave the past behind. But if ever you remembered the past, don't forget what lesson have given it to you. So that you won't repeat what you had done wrong to the past again," Sir Sebi answers, and I grin while looking at him.

"I see..." I answer, looking back up to the sky again.

"What about you, Milady?" He asks as I continue looking up to the sky while smiling,

"Me?" I ask,

"Yes,"

"Well," I look at him with a gentle smile,

'I will forget everything. I will not plan out things here anymore. Starting tomorrow, I'm going to fix my relationships with my parents and with all of our servants. Then live life here not as Vendia and not as Yerre but as a new birth person, everything else doesn't matter,'

"Yes, miss?"

"For me... I prefer to leave it all in the past, I prefer me now," I answer, and Sir Sebi smiles with gladness written on his eyes.

"That is a very satisfying answer, miss," Sir Sebi respond.

"I'm glad you like it," I reply, then we laugh together and continue our night view at the garden together.

To be continued.
