[Nightmare World]
Jamaal opened his eyes and looked around him, his face contorting in anger and fear as he knew that today would be the same. The thunder and lightning around him crackled as the familiar figure appeared.
"Back again I see," He cackled as the cloaked man calmly walked up to Jamaal. The figure then stopped as soon as they reached Jamaal and leaned forward, their blood-red eyes looking sharply into Jamaal's own two blue ones. Jamaal hid his shuddering as he saw those eyes, he always felt that they looked into his soul, seeing his deepest darkest secrets, his happiest memories and his saddest moments. He was not wrong.
"I see you had a fun day!" The figure chuckled as his hot, disgusting, stench filled breath covered Jamaal's face. He readied for a punch and moved his fist in an uppercut, the quick movement a blur.
Jamaal flew into the air like a ragdoll and coughed out blood mid-air. His body, already broken. The figure shot into the air and appeared above Jamaal before smashing him to the ground. But before he could, a barrier encased Jamaal in blue, peaceful light.
[Activating RPG System... Please wait a moment as we merge with the host's body.]
Jamaal heard a faint emotionless voice in his head and groaned.
"Wh-What are you?" He said in between groans of pain as he was hit with a burst of shocking pain.
[Warning! Level 999 Overlord in the vicinity! Activating emergency exit. Overdrives activated!]
The last thing Jamaal saw was his body disappearing into particles and the figure, staring at him with fury.
[????-POV]
He shot into the air, the wind around him lashing out on nature and desecrating the rubble around him. The sound of a furious whistle of the wind slamming into the boy's face as the figure's cloak fluttered in the flow of the air.
Then, his fists punched out. A loud explosion sounded out as the speed of sound was instantly shattered. His hooded figure watched the boy fall before suddenly a blue light shone, blinding its surroundings.
Then, the area was quiet, silent and dark as the commotion died down.
[Jamaal's POV]
Jamaal looked around him, instead of being in his room or being at the horrible cemetery, he was in a forest, a beautiful forest. Birds chirped in happiness as the sunlight basked its light on the trees and plants.
Animals hopped, galloped or scurried along, living their lives in absolute happiness.
Jamaal let out a rare smile when he saw this, running his hands across the rough bark and taking a deep breath, breathing in the fresh Oxygen.
"Chirp Chirp." Above him, birds had made a nest out of wooden sticks, their chicks crying out for their mother.
Around him fish swam in their ponds and lakes, doing their part in the long and magnificent circle of life.
And underneath him was the sound of scurrying rats and moles digg- wait. Sound? Holes?
Jamaal looked down at the grass underneath him and crouched, putting his ear to the ground and listening.
"Pitter Patter," The sound of tiny feet moving around echoed in what seemed like a cave, or a tunnel.
Jamaal got up, his smile still apparent.
"Finally, I can get some rest without the stranger around." He mumbled, walking around the lively forest.
"But... There's still the matter of that voice.." He thought back to the cemetery, wincing as he remembered the pain.
"It healed me... And disappeared? There was the word 'Host' used too." Jamaal pondered about the happenings and sighed.
"Thanks anyway. I guess.." Jamaal paused and decided to get some rest before exploring some more, sitting down underneath the shade of an oak tree.
[No Problem.] A voice echoed in his mind, surprising Jamaal and frightening him a little bit, causing Jamaal to hit his head against the oak tree that was shading him.
"Ow.." He groaned before looking around fiercely.
"Who said that?"
[The RPG System]
"The what now? System? RPG? Isn't that some roleplaying thing?" He asked confused,
[Yes. But The RPG System is a powerful system that allows you to become the strongest of the strongest.]
"I see... WAIT WHAT??" Jamaal's eyes widened, realising what the hell was happening. A few minutes later, Jamaal had calmed down. Now thinking straight, he lightly coughed, continuing his questioning.
"... And how did you get into my head, where am I? What's happening?"
[In order of your questions:]
[Classified Information]
[Continent: Tanzania,
Precise location: Eldritch Woods, Outer Woods of the Outer Forest,
Difficulty level: 5 ]
[Classified Information, Reach level 10 to find out]
In front of Jamaal appeared a seemingly holographic projection of words, lined with data, there was a map of where he was and some text which he couldn't read, it was probably in a foreign language or something.
"Hey, system? There are levels in your data-sheets, right? Then what is my level?" He asked hesitantly.
The system was silent as if debating whether to answer or not.
[Would Host like to know this?] It answered, filling Jamaal with a sense of forebodingness.
"Yes..." He said slowly, waiting for the System to load up his sheet. After a few seconds, nothing appeared and Jamaal quickly got confused.
"Uh, System... Where is my Character sheet?"
[Host is too weak for a character sheet, his precise level is 0.1.]
"Your joking... Right?" He paused and asked, chuckling at the thought.
"0.1? I'm pretty strong you know, I've got to be at least level 2 or 3." He thought, smiling.
[Nope. Though the host can grow stronger. Would you like to grow stronger?]
Jamaal cleared his throat and answered.
"Uh yes, is it a quick thing? Because I want to ask a couple more questions." He asked. The system didn't answer his question, instead, saying this:
[Loading Training World in 3,]
[2,]
[1,]
[Training World Loaded]
The world around Jamaal seemed to fragment and break away, instead, becoming replaced with a new scene.
The new world seemed to have some similarities to the Tanzania Continent he was in previously though instead of his location being a forest, there was only a grassy plain around him.
"Uh... System? How am I supposed to train?" This question had no reply from the system. Instead, Jamaal heard an 'oink.'
Jamaal, hearing the sound turned around, his eyes widening as he saw a giant bull-sized pig charging at him. Plumes of dust gathering in clouds at the animal's feet as they dug into the ground.
"Oh f*ck!! You got to have been kidding me! SYSTEM!!!"
