"Multiple bodies were found at three different locations within five to six miles from each other. The first location is Cultural Public Park, A family of three was found mutilated inside the woods of the park."
Hong Wen presented the first packet of notes to them. Inside is the information on the family of three and some photographs. A mother, father, and son are lying on the ground. Their faces are bruised and cut up badly. Large knife wounds travel from the forehead down to the neck. Their own pieces of clothing are used to tie up their limbs, ranging from belts to female stockings. A deep cut is shown on the wrist of all three victims. But strangely enough, not much blood litters the scene.
Continuing on, Hong Wen gave out another stack. "The second place is a meat processing factory. Due to the state of how the body was found, we are unable to identify the victim(s) properly. We were only able to discover this location, when a factory worker found a human finger within one of the grinding machines. The factory is closed down currently and the meat that was sent out are in the process of being retrieved."
Inside the photographs are large grinders standing side by side with each other. An assembly belt is connected on the side. On the belt are boxes of half packaged meat, it's fresh pinkish-red color truly catches a person's sight. In another photo, the suspected grinder is captured along with a slender finger carefully placed on the side. Other than that, there is nothing else in the photos that points to a possible murder.
"This is the last sheaf." Hong Wen explained. "This crime happened inside the alleyway of a busy shopping district. Two people, a young woman and man in their early teens. There are not many deep physical injuries other than the wound on the neck. Their belongings are found in a trashcan not too far from them."
Looking deeply at the photo, Chu Nuan took note of the wounds sustained. A long slash caused by a sharp object runs from the left, all the way to the right side of the neck. This deep laceration almost completely severing the head off. Other than the hair and face of the victims, there are barely any signs of blood around the crime scene.
"Something is strange." Chu Nuan said, as she gathered all three crime scene photos to compare. Pointing to the first scene, she said, "see here? The first scene is very messy and supposed to be gruesome. But the amount of blood shown in the photographs does not match up to the amount of injuries received, especially the slit marks on the wrists. A torn artery is likely to release a large amount of blood. But other than the bloody marks left by the small wounds on other parts of the body, there's not even a small puddle of blood within miles of the place."
"Maybe the murder took place at another location." Xie Luochen suggested.
"Perhaps." Chu Nuan answered as she moved her chair closer to his. "But take a look at the second location. There must be a reason the murderer chose a meat processing plant as the second scene." Tapping on the table, she waited a moment to arrange her thoughts.
"We can see here, that his methods have become a little more sophisticated, instead of leaving a body that can be found. He decided to camouflage the body itself by turning it into a part of the processing product. Unfortunately for him, the criminal isn't meticulous enough, leaving a finger stuck between the grinding blades."
Just as she wanted to continue, a knock came at the door. Without waiting for confirmation, a young woman wearing a low-cut blouse and short pants came in holding a tray of tea. Smiling shyly, she quickly glanced at Xie Luochen before addressing Hong Wen. "Leader, I saw that you have guests. So I took the liberty to brew some tea for you all."
Saying so, she sashayed across the room towards the desk where everyone gathered. She first politely placed a cup of tea in front of Hong Wen and Lei Lin that sat next to him. Then carelessly put a cup in front of Chu Nuan, all the while, eyes glued onto Xie Luochen.
Leaning close to him as she places a cup of warm tea on the table. She bowed forward, revealing large patches of skin from the revealing blouse. Her red lips draw closer to his face as she breathes breathlessly, " I made this tea just for you. If there is anything else you want, just tell me." The woman said while blinking her eyes flirtatiously, "I'll be sure to fulfill your wishes."
Eyes glinting dangerously, Chu Nuan retrieved her hand from one of her pockets. In one quick motion, she shoved something in between the two white hills of the woman in front of her. Withdrawing her hand instantly, she casually took a sip of tea. "Good work, you may leave now."
Surprised, the woman took a step back while reaching into her chest. Pulling out the item from her chest, she stood there dazed as she unfolded the one dollar bill. "This....?"
"It's for your hard work." Chu Nuan said coldly, her lips forming into an icy sneer. "No need to thank me."
"You?!" The woman crumpled the bill tightly in her hand, eyes reddening at the corners. She looked at Xie Luochen pitifully, only to find him staring at Chu Nuan transfixed. The edges of his mouth twitched upwards as he slowly pushed his cup of tea towards her direction.
Stomping her feet in irritation, the woman then moved her sights onto Hong Wen. Pouting with pinched lips, she whined, "Leader~."
Hong Wen sighed while pinching the bridge of his nose. He first gave Chu Nuan an apologetic look before turning back to the woman, "we are in the middle of a discussion, there is no need for you to serve us."
"But-"
"Leave." Hong Wen ordered firmly.
Stomping her feet in anger, the woman glared at Chu Nuan once more before slamming the door on her way out.
