Chapter 1 - 1: The big news

in the morning. it was necessary in order to get to her work on time since it was about an hours drive away.

The bedroom was coffin sized so Aara sleeps in a worn out red sleeping bag and uses the space left to stack her luggage

It was a low ceiling  type of building which would have been a problem if she were tall but since she had a petite figure it didn't bother her much.

First she turned the lights on and proceeded to fold the sleeping bag. and placed it on one side along with her pillow.

she walked out to the sitting room slash kitchen which was bigger in comparison to the bedroom.

it looked clean enough even though the furniture and appliances were a bit cramped togther.

A mini fridge, single electrical cooker, standing fan, a rug, two circled coushins and a small table close to the sink, her gray backpack was resting on one of the two stools infront of the table,  the other one was used as some sort of hanger at the far end of the room where she drapes just about anything

it was a 10 story redbrick apartment building that had been over shadowed by other titanic skyscrapers

aara happened to be staying at the very top.

the apartment  had three electrical outlets, one was in the room where she slept , her phone was plugged into the one inside the bedroom. the other two were in the sitting room one connected to the standing fan and the other was under the table. switched off

Aara turned the lights on and glanced at the wall clock, it had stopped working two days ago and she kept forgetting to buy new batteries.

remembering things like that weren't in her must- dos

the lavatory had soo little a space that Aara could almost touch all four walls at once.

A toilet and a faucet and that was it, she had to geet hangers for her tooth brush, paste, sponge and soap.

Aara lived alone, scared of her own shadows but at least she has got a roof over her head.
