Chapter 1 - S3QU3NC3 CH4MB3R: P1R4T3 4DV3TUR3 1

A little robot lay motionlessly, his visor shuffling between an open and closed state, "Huh? Wh-What's going on? Where am I?" The robot asked innocently.

"Huh, Where are you, you ask? We're about to go to battle, of course! This is all for the sake of acquiring the map that leads to the Kraken's treasure!" A voice full of morale laughed. Fumu turned his head towards the voice, seeing a bearded man donning a captain's uniform who continued, "Why, Fumu, don't tell me you forgot? Haha, Your first time on the battlefield perhaps? Your nerves all out of whack?"

"Uh—No! My programming is fine, I just need to assess the situation properly...." The robot fumed.

The man laughed reassuringly, "Bahaha! You're an interesting one, but don't worry. I, Captain Harriot, got your back, Fumu!"

Fumu inspected his surroundings, finding himself to be on a large ship in the middle of an ocean. Looking off the side of the ship, the water was sparkling so clearly that he could see his own reflection.

His body was of a silverish-gray color, with two purple patches where his ears functioned, as well as a large purple bump on his head accompanied by a small led light. Connecting into the bump on his head, Fumu saw two transparent wires under the surface of his body.

As his eyes, he had a black visor with an led light, currently glowing a gentle blue. The led lights throughout his body took on various colors, depending on his current mood. His mouth was rectangularly outlined with a black square, and could alter its size at will.

Alteration at will was a key feature of his body, his current long pointy arms and suction-like legs could easily change. At the location of his heart were speckled spots that could vaguely be seen on the surface. And around his face and "heart" were two spiral-like markings, perhaps the equivalent of tattoos.

As Fumu inspected himself, 'That's right, I'm currently on a Terradon Vessel. Alongside the fellow warriors of this vessel, I'll be facing the Maremires, or Troops of the Sea.'

Fumu glanced over at the bearded Captain Harriot, "Approximately when will we be reaching enemy forces?"

BOOM! BANG!

Several explosions rang out, "You hear that, Fumu? It's the sweet sound of battle. The enemies are already launching cannonballs at our ship, haha! We haven't even reached the enemy forces yet, but they're already sending us welcome gifts." The bearded man smiled, "Onward, men, prepare our cannons!"

"On it!" "Quick! Quick! Quick!" "Move the cannons into position!"

Several voices called out in turmoil.

"Someone, lend me a hand here! You, Newbie—uh, Fumu, right? Lend me a hand, would'ya?" A stubbled man called out.

Fumu scurried over, "Yes, what's my task?" Contrary to the situation, his visor narrowed in what appeared to be excitement.

"Get me some cannonballs, quick! And ---- sure you grab the grape ---- ----- -----! The faster you can bring them over, the better! Hurry ----, lad." The man snapped.

Much of what the man said was silenced out by the sounds of battle, and little Fumu had yet to attune his systems, and since now wasn't the time for that, "On it," Fumu hurriedly responded.

He ran across the deck, quickly entering the cabin, "Grape, Grape, Grape, where are the grapes—"

"You there! What are you doing, it's not the time to be down here!" A young man shouted.

"Huh? Not the time to be down here? I'm on orders to look for grapes!" Fumu questioned with a head tilt.

"G-Grapes? Nonsense!" The boy refuted!

"Nonsense? You should be up there on the deck of the ship, yet you're still hiding down here! The least you could do is tell me where the grapes are! Otherwise, I'll tell our Captain!" Fumu righteously declared.

The boy shuddered, "I-I'm just the Cabin Boy, leave me out of this! The grapes are in the upper right cupboard! Now leave me alone and just go! There's no way I'm going up there until it's all over!"

"Okie!" Fumu's visor narrowed, glowing a splendid blue as he retrieved the grapes before returning....

Upon reaching the man, "I've got the grapes!" Fumu declared happily.

"Haha, Great, you're pretty good Newbie—er-uh Fumu! You've got a bright future ahead of ye', now give 'em here! I'll even let ye' fire the cannon!"

Fumu reached out with his hands, having previously altered them from needle-like arms to normal human arms, a cluster of grapes in his hands.

"This... Is this some sort of twisted joke? We're in the middle of battle, for crying aloud! And ye' bring me grapes, what am I going to do with these...?" The man felt his blood pressure rapidly increasing.

"Eat them, of course!" Fumu smiled joyfully.

With ragged breathing, the man calmed himself, "Alright, alright, listen up lad. You're not going to get the chance to fire this cannon."

Fumu's visor visibly darkened in color.

"You are going to climb into this cannon... I'm firing you onto their ship. Whatever happens, best of luck, lad." The man smiled nefariously.

And, Fumu's visor glew up resplendently as he willed himself into the cannon.

"Huh? Crazy son of a #$%#!" The man shook his head, before lighting the fuse and repeating, "Best of luck, lad."

BANG!

And so everyone watched with wide-open eyes as a figure soared across the sky, from one ship, to another.

Atop the Maremires ship, standing within the Crow's nest with a monocular, the man shouted, "I see something heading our way! It's a bird, no, it's a plane! Wait, it's a—"

Everyone on the deck of the ship declared in shock, "It's a robot?!"

"Oi, Johnny, get 'im with your sword!" One sailor shouted.

"Got it! Take this! ARGH!" A man of pure muscle yelled, swinging a steel blade down onto Fumu.

Ch-Kri! Ka-Chow!

And the blade snapped....

"It... It just snapped?"

"My blade... my unstoppable blade and peerless sword technique... you broke it just like that?"

"Furil, shoot it! Quick, while it's incapacitated!" Another man yelled.

"Huh? I'm not incapacitated though? My systems are operating just fine, aren't they?" Fumu questioned?

Bang!

The bullet hit Fumu's body, before shattering like a frangible bullet. Fragments scattered in all directions!

"Take cover, he's counter-attacking us!"

"He-He's simply unstoppable! Everyone, get to the escape boats, we need to get out of here!"

Boom!

"Everyone, calm down." An aged man with a whitebeard voiced quietly, "You—What is your name?"

"I'm Fumu!" Fumu smiled.

"Fumu... Good name. I forgot my name long ago, but you can call me Quag. I didn't think I'd have to take action just yet, but you're strong. You and I, one-on-one, let's go." Quag smiled devilishly.

"I won't hold back!" Fumu declared, his hands altering back into long pointed needles.

"Oh? A ferocious one, aren't you? Heh, Just what I like in a fight." Quag snickered as he withdrew a long blade with meticulous engravings.

"Hyah! I've had this blade forged recently, it's among the best quality gold can buy! So, let's see what's stronger, your body or my blade!"

Clang!

The blade reflected off of Fumu's body, though not even the slightest trace was left on Fumu.

"Again!"

Clang! Chi!

Once again, not a trace was left. Quag felt a slight numbing sensation as his arm rebounded along his sword, not taking notice of the shallow crack forming. "I don't believe this! No! Your body might be strong, but with how narrow your arm is, I'm sure I can cut right through!"

Quag's eyes glew with a trace of viciousness as his blade collided with Fumu's arm.

Chhii-Crik! Crack! Ching!

Quag's blade suddenly snapped, as his body stumbled in motion towards Fumu's needle that was stronger than any weapon he's seen.

'I guess, this is the end. I feel much more relaxed in these final moments than I ever expected I would. Well, if I'm going to be done in by anybody, let it be this "Fumu" in front of me.' Quag smiled as he closed his eyes, prepared to be pierced through at any moment.

A second passed... Two seconds passed... Three seconds....

"Huh? Hold on for a moment, perhaps I've ventured to the other side." Quag muttered as he opened his eyes, only to be greeted by Fumu.

"I'm alive... Why?" Quag asked, his eyes looking straight into Fumu's visor.

"There's no reason for me to hurt you. We're here for the sake of finding the Kraken's treasure. However, I don't think just one of our ships is enough to get the treasure. There must be lots of different monsters guarding it after all!" Fumu blinked his visor with a light smile.

"Huh? You think your Captain would agree to working together? Just like that?" Captain Quag smiled bitterly.

"I'll make it work." Fumu nodded naively.

"Fuuuumuuuuu! Greaaaat Jooob!" Captain Harriot yelled from a distance, their ship rapidly nearing as all cannons had long ceased to watch Fumu and Captain Quag's duel.

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

Alert Notifications: Body has finished sleeping, adequate rest acquired.

The Sequence Chamber will be opening. Dream state has been activated!

Dream titled: Pirate Adventure 1

Dream can be continued during the next use of the Sequence Chamber, if requested!

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

The sequence chamber opened, and Fumu's visor snapped open. "It was just getting good too, I'll just have to continue it another time. Then for now, I guess I'll go on a stroll!"

Fumu smiled as he exited his house, before turning back to lock the door.

His house was on a smaller scale, made up of a living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, and one bedroom. While it was small, it was his own place to reside, and the place he called home.

With the alteration of his right hand into a key, he locked the door with the turn of his arm. Most developing places didn't use locks anymore, in fact, Fumu's house was very old fashioned. Much of the technology in his time was highly advanced, and rather than a key and lock, they used body scanning.

Nevertheless, Fumu continued on his way.
