Chapter 9 Shadow Realm Part 2.
"M-my body shrank?!"
When I examined my body, my hands, my essence, and even my face became small. What happened to me? How did this happen?! Even when I looked at Ruru, he's kind of different. More importantly, he can even touch me like a human.
"What's wrong? Aren't you happy to see me?" Ruru asked me.
I shook my hands, "It's not like I'm not happy to see you... I'm just confused!" as I quickly replied, he suddenly moved his face next to mine. "Then what are you confused about?" then he intensively examined my expression so I pushed him away from me.
"What the hell are you doing?! We should look for Euclece instead of staying here."
I tried to have my way out of the crowd when Ruru uttered something that made me stop, "Who is Euclece?" My eyes were widened when I turned my head to him, I saw his hostile gaze at me.
What's wrong with him? He clearly remembers me, but he doesn't remember Euclece? I was speechless, I can't even open my mouth to explain. The crowd is starting to vex. He was surrounded by many people that are Idolizing him, I felt like I don't even belong to that place.
When I came to notice, I'm still holding the pink phone that was from Ruru before. This phone is also attached to his right eye when he was a ghost. The ghost who always saves me from danger, alright. I shouldn't think this way. If he doesn't know Euclece then I'll smack him until he wakes up literally.
"I need to move him away from the crowd first." I muttered, I clenched my fist and wear an annoyed face. I breathe in and breathe out and with enough guts, I've gathered. I shouted his name, "Ruru!" Everyone's eyes were locked to my presence.
"Uhh...E-excuse me... Heheh, I'm just going to borrow him for a while." I made myself pass through that crowd smoothly. Ruru was staring at me but I gripped his wrist and drag him away from the crowd with me.
We walked outside the hallway of that school, "Where are we going?" I looked at him with an unpleasant face, "I told you we need to find Euclece. We need to get out of here quickly before something worse happens." We're walking but I don't feel that we are moving out of this place. I can't even see the Exit.
"But we're at school. The bell will about to ring."
"Ring?"
After he said that, an eerie sound of a bell rang from nowhere. I also felt a sharp pain on my chest because of it, not all that. My body is stiffened and can't even move. "R-ruru---" I tried to look at him however he just disappeared from my touch.
A voice coming from the dark corridor started to approach me, it's like the darkness is binding my body.
"Aren't you curious about him?" The voice asked.
"Are you the one who made this space?!" I boldly asked it another question rather than answering him. A long and uncomfortable silence greeted my question.
A moment passed, a shadow suddenly appeared, clenching my face and forcing my mouth to open. "Why don't you play along?"
Huh!?
Then a dark shadow appeared and forcing itself to enter through my mouth. I can't shout or even utter some words as the dark shadow forced itself inside me, choking me. What the hell is this?! An evil spirit?!
In an instant, I lost my consciousness.
When I woke up, I heard someone speaking harshly in front of me. "Aren't you slacking too much?" as I slowly opened both of my eyes, an adult was hitting my head brutely? I can feel the pain but somehow I can't even lift my arms to defend myself from it. My body feels heavy.
"Hey, are you listening?!" the adult ranted. "Yes..." I replied with a gloomy voice.
"Teacher, she's probably hungry."
Now a child-like voice muttered.
"Ahaha, isn't she's always hungry?" then a guy that seems in the same party responded.
When I fully recovered. I enlarged both of my eyes as I clearly see the classroom with a bunch of fifth graders.
What am I doing? Where is Ruru!?
I roamed my eyes to the whole class, and I saw him sitting in the front row. He is also looking at me. My body is still small like these kids.
But annoyingly this teacher in front of me didn't stop hitting me. So, I forced my body to stand up as I grabbed the stick away from him and break it. "Will you stop hitting me, you monkey looking teacher!" I complained.
"Woahh!!" Everyone gasped, surprised because of what I did. What is this feeling though? I'm kind of happy to fight back.
I straight-out looked and walked towards Ruru's seat. I land my hand with Bruteforce on his desk.
"Ruru, why the fuck are you sitting here?! I told you we need to find Euclece!" But instead of saying something as a response, he just blinked his eyes with confusion.
My patient ran out, so I smacked his head, "Ruru! Wake up!"
"Heyy! Why are you hitting me! We're not even close!" He said while whining. "Grrr..." But the teacher suddenly grabbed my cheek and trying to drag me back to the desk I was sitting before.
"Ruru! R-remember! You are a ghost; you don't belong here---" I suddenly felt an enormous hot feeling within my body that I can't even move again. Something wants to come out inside my body. I slapped the teacher's hand causing him to ungrasp me as I tried to cover my mouth.
What is it?!
But I can't hold it back, I was so shocked that I coughed plenty of blood.
"Wha--?"
I looked my hands that covered in blood, I'm getting dizzy just seeing it.
When I looked at Ruru, I can say his face was covered with fear and because of that everyone started shouting, "Ahhh!!" I tried to approach Ruru once again but when I tried to touch him, he slapped my hand.
"Don't touch me with your filthy hand! You're so gross!" I don't know how I should even react, I was shocked by what I heard from Ruru as my tears suddenly dropped from my cheeks before I know it. "Ruru! Don't say that to me!!" I was being carried by my emotions.
"I'm your friend, right? Right? Please say that you don't mean it..." I'm pleading him to take back his words but as the conversation continues, the more unbearable words he's saying to me. "Friend? Who wants to be a friend to a freak like you?! Disgusting!"
I feel like I'm being stabbed by a knife in my chest a million times.
I can't see him anymore because of my tears as I get subdued by dizziness. I lost control of my body; I feel like I'm going to fall down---However, someone catches me from behind. "Pull yourself together."
This voice...
"I see, your soul is already damaged. I'm sorry about being late." I looked the guy that's carrying me like a little child. It was Mikael that was smiling at me gently. I cried to his shoulder through my heart content, "He said I'm not his friend..." I'm acting like a child myself, but I can't help it. "It hurts so much."
As I wipe my nose to his sleeves, "Hey! Don't do that. It's disgusting--" He commented.
Although I heard a sudden snapped from Ruru, "You! Put her down!!"
Eh?
When I glanced at Ruru, he was trying to reach me from Mikael. "Ruru..." He's wearing an expression of irritation and dissatisfaction, "I don't know why I feel this but, I'm sorry that I've said that." and he was sincerely apologizing too.
"Mikael...Put me down..." As I asked Mikael, he started complaining. "Why would I? After I saved you~" I glared at him, "Come on, just put me down." Mikael glared at me but he put me down, unwillingly.
I am now in front of Ruru that's nearly crying as I jumped at him to hug him, we fell together to the ground.
"Ruru! Don't you know how happy I am when I can touch you like this?! So, don't say something like that to me." I buried my face to his chest as I sniffed it. This is Ruru's smell when he was human. He's so warm, "I-I don't really understand..." Ruru muttered with uncertainty.
"Let me help you." We looked at Mikael who moved near us. He touched Ruru's head and it bought a blindly light within his touch. I closed my eyes but when I opened it once again. Ruru is already floating within the air.
"Latrice-chan!" He worriedly uttered. He moved his body near me as he tried to touch me once again, but his hand just penetrated me. "Oho, you can't touch her." Mikael teasingly stated after that he carried me like a baby.
"Wait! Don't do that to her! Latrice-chan, you can walk right?!" Ruru is worrying about something, "She can't. Her body is weakened because of the damages she received from you. So, I'm going to carry her until we escape from this space." As Mikael explained, Ruru's mad expression is written all over his face.
"Why don't you just bring me back to my normal body!?" I demanded.
"Sorry, I don't have the power to do that. This space doesn't belong to me until we get out of here. Your body will remain adorable and cute."
"Like the hell, I want that!!!"
