(Note that this is an English novel so I can't include japanese everytime. So, I will just write the japanese parts without specifying it's japanese)
I barely manage to balance my way on the narrow fencing panels the school gate was adorned with. It took three minutes for her to do it but my fat ends didn't allow me to lift myself to the other side for once and all. I angrily grab the handle and get down for the third time in the past ten minutes.
"I won't be able to get inside." I said, obviously tired of her useless directions she was commanding at me.
"Yeah, keep that leg there and just jump in." She pointed to one of the gate's pieces I obviously wouldn't know the name of and completely ignored my testament of unwillingness in this plan.
"Fine. Like, just once." I place my left foot on the designated place and the iron shimmered like jail chains waiting to be broken away.
"Shhhh..." The girl shushed me and cautiously checked every corner with her eyes, "Today is the opening ceremony. That's why everything is so quiet now but I warn, this isn't going to last long. So hurry up, 少女(girl)."
"Isn't that a manga genre but whatever." I once again try to swallow the gates through my lower limbs and this time, almost in a miracle managed to do so only to fall down and scratch my leg with curious screams echoing through my throat.
"Are you okay?"
"No, I am dead." I tried getting up but hardly manage to. The girl lent me her hand and while in the process of taking it a man dressed in all blue rushed towards us. He was a security guard and though we weren't loots at a gem pursuit we didn't want him there. So, the girl pulled me up without caring about all the pains my legs might drown into and began literally dragging me to somewhere only nobody knew.
"By the way, what's your name?" She asked through our little battle with the security guard hysterically chasing us while saying, 'Stop' every minute of his breath. And honestly, I wanted to punch her audacity with all my might.
"Blue. Blue Irwin."
"Aoi. That's it. Now follow me." Did she just translated my name as another name?
I didn't had the room to question as she swiftly pulled me in a room which surprisingly was in the middle of a hall I never knew I was running in.
That weirdo led go of my hand and said, "Thank me for not getting you expelled on your first day."
I rolled me eyes with whatever power I was left with and said, "Are..you..cra-?" My neck went dry and I felt something oozing from my pants. Bloody blood.
"You are bleeding." She said as if it was completely normal and elegant to bleed and she was acknowledging the fact.
"Yeah. Whatever." The stinging grew and I would have disinfected it if only I wasn't scared of it. It sort of reminded me of the pink stuff Oliver's head produced and I didn't want to be reminded of it. So I tried forgetting about it but forgetting is an art of deception which only exists in imagination. So none of it worked, like always.
"Get up. I will give you a band-aid." She said, probably reflecting on all the bad deeds she did to me in the past hour. My pant was torn slightly there but that wasn't a concern, I bend my foot towards her while she took out a band-aid.
It was really small with panda prints on it, as if meant for a kid.
"Are you sure about that?" I laughed at it's small size.
She eyed me and shrugged, "My brother uses them every time. You shouldn't have it if you don't want to."
"No, I am fine." She smirked and placed her the band-aid on the damage and for a minute the stinginess reached its peak. But then, it was gone.
I was surprised at the skills she applied applying that and before I could suggest her to attend nurse school, a voice interrupted us.
"So, it's you who is giving Mr. Nozomu a hard time." It wasn't in English like the last time but I could recognize that treacherous voice at once. It was the giraffe.
I would have stood up to increase the emphasis if I could but I said, "What are you doing here? You said you were going to take me to school."
His eyes shot up in surprise, "ごめんなさい (sorry), I am talking to someone else."
The girl looked around for a second and then said, "I don't know what this is all about but let me tell you, Aoi, this is my cousin. And yeah, he is annoying. Let's kill him together someday." I was embarrassed, that's what I was.
And I being the worst when it comes to talking said, "Um... thanks for the offer, but no. And can you please not act like we are friends?" I didn't had the power to raise friends for I very well knew I would leave by the end of the year and it will only increase the tears at the eye.
I get up, slightly still in pain and take my way.
"Yo! first check out the principal room. And my name is Lola. Lola Ermengarde." Right after I asked her to stop treating me like a friend.
"Just take a right turn after a left turn from here." She shouted again and I didn't responded knowing well how bad I was with thankyous.
