|JuHee's POV|
"You're literally the cutest thing in the world, JuHee. You know that, right?" SunMi laughs brightly as I huff in annoyance. They're always telling me how cute I am, but never telling me the important things—like who Sun's dating.
"Who is it? Who are you dating? Is it someone I know? Am I supposed to guess? I'm not good at guessing Sun." I complain as I glance toward the window.
I get up and move toward it. I tug the curtain open to stare out at the empty street. Right now, Sun would be coming back from her run. Then she'd sit down at her computer and pull up her game. Sometimes I'd sit and watch her.
It's fun to watch her play, especially when she's playing with some of the Ateez boys. She always beats them and they always say she cheated. It's pretty fascinating. I'm not any good at games though. Sun tried to teach me to play once, but I kept dying.
"Yes, you know them. You're just too innocent to see it. You've met them several times. They're actually coming to the house with me later today. I have some things I need to tell you guys as a group." SunMi explains softly. I can sense the hesitation in her voice. She clearly doesn't want to tell us, but she feels like she needs to.
"Sun, you know we love you, right? You know we won't be mad about anything you say or do, right? You could up and leave us and we'd still love you more than anything." I try to reassure her, but I know it won't do much. SunMi is really stubborn and she has a hard time realizing the obvious. Her anxiety tells her it's all a lie.
"I know, JuJu. I know you guys love me. It's just hard sometimes, but I promise I will try and tell you guys more things. I'll make it my life goal to make sure I'm open with you. This is my way of starting that. I'm going to reveal a lot of things today—to a lot of people. It's going to be quite a rough one for me. Do you think you could give me a great big bear hug like you always do when I get home?" SunMi's voice becomes a little brighter as she tries to reassure me.
"Of course! The day I don't give you a hug is the day you need to take me to a doctor because I must be really sick. I'm always going to hug you guys, even if you don't want it." I sit back down in the desk chair and spin around. I grab my journal from the small shelf and place it in front of me.
"If you don't hug me, I'll have to hug you and tickle you to death. I can't go a day without a hug from my baby JuJu." SunMi insists as I pick up my favorite purple pen.
"Sun?" I mumble softly as I twirl my pen between my fingers.
"Yeah?" She responds softly as JongHo sings quietly in the background.
"So you think we're gonna make it? I mean—I know we've all talked about this before, but like really—do you honestly thing Candi is going to be able to make a second album?" I ask as I set my pen down.
"I don't know for sure, Ju. All I know is we're going to put our heart and souls into whatever we do end up doing. We'll always be together, even if Candi doesn't work out." SunMi explains.
"I hope we don't have to disband. I want to be part of Candi for at least a few years. I don't want to go back to being trapped in a room. It's boring and I'd miss all of this—there's so much out here that I've never got to do before." I glance up as JiSu slips into the room.
"Is that Sun?" JiSu hurries toward me presses her ear to the other side of my phone.
"Yeah, it's Sun, but you should wait your turn. She's my Sun right now." I pull away from her and stick my tongue out at her.
"Put me on speaker, I can talk to the both of you." SunMi chuckles.
I groan, but do as told. I set my phone on the desk and glare at JiSu.
"Sun! Are you doing better? Na said you weren't feeling good. She said you were going to the doctor, too. Did everything turn out okay?" JiSu asks as she kneels down beside me.
"Yeah, I'm doing alright. I was telling JuHee that I'll be home tonight. I have some things I want to tell you guys. I'm also picking up some gifts. Any requests?" Sun directs her attention to JiSu, leaving me out for the moment.
"Gummies. Gummies. Strawberry milk. And gummies." JiSu states matter of factly as I get up and slip around her. There's no point of me sitting there when she's not talking to me.
"I figured you'd be easy." SunMi laughs brightly, something she doesn't do very often.
"When are you coming home? I wanna make you cupcakes or something." JiSu questions as she takes the chair I had been sitting in.
"Let's see, it's about nine-thirty now, so I'd guess probably around three or four. I have to stop in and talk to SeongHwa and I have to go shopping for the presents, but after that, I should be there. Where's JuHee?" Sun mentions my name and I hurry toward the phone.
"I'm here, Sun." I chirp as sit in JiSu's lap.
"I'm going to let you two go, I have to call Aera before she has a heart attack. I'll see you both a little later, alright?" Sun begins to bring the call to an end, probably glad she hit both JiSu and I in one go.
"Bye, Sun!" JiSu and I both shout as SunMi laughs in amusement.
"Bye. I love you!" SunMi responds quickly before hanging up.
