(Malech's POV):
An hour had passed since Denzel left with Lester, Terrence, and Isaac. Me and William are stuck here taking guard duty.
We're currently in the main room resting up. Lilith, who is one of Denzel's childhood friends, showed up.
"Oh, Malech? Taking a rest now?" - Lilith
"Yeah, I have a gut feeling that a group of enemies will suddenly show up sooner or later."
"Where's William?" - Lilith
"He's watching around outside, he's using his telescope to search for various enemies from the sky."
"Heeh, I'm surprised that you two know much about each other." - Lilith
"Well, after being defeated by Denzel for the first time... We served him with our abilities of searching around for information. We didn't really become close until it reached the point where we got the news of Flora's death."
Truthfully, when we thought Flora died due to his stupidity and incapacitated idea to raid the castle, we were prepared. But after he died, William noticed the oddity of being able to contact him after his death, which was impossible. After he saved me from the clone of Chrominus, I had pressed him questions about his way to escape death. He passed me an emblem with a skull in it. Noticing the familiarity of the emblem, I immediately knew that it was the Emblem of Death that went missing on the vault we had kept in William's interdimensional rift.
"Malech." - Lilith
"Hm?"
Lilith, who seems to be thinking deeply about something asked me something that had confirmed my doubts.
"What do you think about Rika?" - Lilith
"What..."
"You doubt her right? It's true that Denzel loves Rika to death but I have received an ominous feeling about Rika after the meeting." - Lilith
"What about her?"
"I had talked to her a few times after that meeting. One was right after, the second time was in the afternoon, before she went to the sky floor. The last one made me feel suspicious with her panicked behavior. She can skillfully hide it but as Denzel's friend for nearly two decades, I think she has some things that she has to hide for real." - Lilith
"So you're saying..."
Somehow, I have gotten the feeling that I should've done but stopped myself.
"You should've killed Miguel and Leo. I talked to them and noticed that they're only pests for Denzel's quest. I know that the black knife from her back was from Miguel. I investigated some parts due to my suspicion... But I found that Miguel has stayed up the night after seeing that Leo's plan will be effective." - Lilith
Damnit! I should've killed them after all! If they didn't exist Rika would've been kept as an innocent girl!
"I had thought of telling De-"
"Don't do that, never tell him anything except the fact that you feel doubts. He'll enter a state of depression." - Lilith
"Depression?! It's better if we told him sooner so he can-!"
"Do you think that he'll feel better faster than that?! I've seen him damaged once! Even if I'm forced to see him receive heavy emotional damage for the second time, I want it to minimize for a short time only!" - Lilith
Lilith cuts me off and starts yelling. What, did she see on Denzel's life?
I looked at her with bewilderment as her eyes start to become watery. Ashley and Gayle arrived to the room and were shocked to Lilith's behavior.
"I don't want to see it! I don't want to see him stabbing himself over again! Even if it's only in a game where he can sustain his injuries! I don't want to see him in pain! In despair! And irresponsive!" - Lilith
"Lilith?!" - Gayle
Gayle seems to be bewildered while Ashley starts tearing up. Was she also there on Lilith's timeline with Denzel?
Ashley rushed to Lilith and hugged her tightly to calm her down. The two burst out in tears while Gayle came towards me and asked. Lilith was actually crying from remembering Denzel's past.
"What happened?" - Gayle
"We were having doubts on Rika, and questioning whether to tell Denzel or not."
"Why are you harboring doubts?" - Gayle
Gayle seems like she had no idea about why we started doubting Rika who was with us for a lot of time.
"Denzel has suspicions on Miguel and Leo but the two of you having that on Rika?! Why Malech!? Why would you have suspicions on mom!" - Gayle
"Because I saw her with Miguel the night before we set off!"
I yelled out my response in instinct which was heard by other people in different rooms. Claire entered the room first in a rush, her eyes are wide opened after seeing the atmosphere of two girls from our side crying.
"Gayle! What is the meaning of this?" - Claire
Gayle let go of my shirt which she has trying to hold up in anger.
"I'm sorry, let's just forget what happened here. We won't tell anyone anything, even Denzel who will definitely be the victim."
Damnit! I should've killed the two of them! I knew they had thought of harming Denzel in some way or another! But using Rika's innocence just makes it worse!
Gayle who seems to read my thoughts finally noticed my own regrets while gritting my teeth and punching the wall out of anger.
"Leo and Miguel..." - Gayle
"Gayle!" - Claire
Claire who seemed to get the meaning hugged Gayle to stop her from losing her balance from shock.
"Damnit all!"
I punched the same wall once again with an even stronger punch than last time. A crack was formed on the wall and my right fist started bleeding.
The other people started showing up, they were intensely worried about our quarrel and two people crying. When I noticed William's message I immediately left the room wordlessly.

"Dahell happened to your hand?" - William
"I just found out about Denzel's past."
"Heeeh~? Tell me later, but first... We gotta clean up a party." - William
William turned his head towards an approaching group of horses that are still pretty distant.
"Cavalry?"
"Yep, what do?" - William
Is he seriously asking that? I want to let loose from being unable to kill that piece of shit called Leo and Miguel.
"No more reasoning, just kill them."
"Bad mood eh?" Alright, we don't have any connections with em, so let's start this." - William
William summons his shock staff and pointed it directly to the ground.
"Tremor!" - William
I jumped to avoid losing balance and took out Death Trap. I then immediately dashed to the horses and killed them off to prevent anyone from escaping.
"There's no escape now!"
I activated an ability which Denzel applied to this weapon.
"Time Illusion!"
Multiple afrimages formed and became illusions that is as lethal as the real thing. Two, four, eight, sixteen, thirty two!
A single fling can kill an enemy for sure. It was set to stop a person from moving once hit. This was because I silently activated a special skill.
Chronorift... Time Lock.
I locked the targets who received damage from me in a barrier for only a single second... But judging from the effectivity to kill a player with it makes it enough.
There were eight enemies in which I took the attention of four knights. William went straight for the four mages and supports.
I swung the chain around but the knights dodged by dashing backwards without hesitating. I stepped forward and closed the distance in between them and threw out the hooks which are also duplicated. I manipulated eight hooks to try and latch on to one knight. I managed to hook and timelock two knights which I instantly ended by swinging the chain with the scythe and killed them while locked in time.
"Wonderful is it? That you can basically get locked in forever and wait for your death..."
The two remaining knights start trembling in fear to be placed in a position that's basically being played around with before killed.
They're only prey who can no longer escape...
I can no longer risk this any more and simply used another special ability.
"Time Zero."
I flung both ends to the helmets of both knights. With thirty-one precise follow ups, it was evidently impossible for them to avoid a split second interval.
"Now die."
The split second time pause ended with my scythe and hook nearing the eyes of the knights.
The scythe passed through the small line and pierced the left eye of one knight and had the helmet pierced through by the hook of the other knight.
The two start bleeding heavily, when imbued with 'Lethal Bleeding' effect. They start losing a thousand health per second, which is basically impossible to heal.
My health starts draining slowly when I noticed that I was only around 35% health remaining.
"Crap, I wasn't paying attention to that."
I dispelled time lock and time illusion and reversed the time for my right hand. I then noticed four mystics were blown off... I turned my gaze towards them and noticed William who jumped up and fired from his crossbow one by one.
Multiple fireworks set off and blew up the four mystics that are panicked in the air. Flashy, this guy... He just makes sure to end his fights in a flashy note.
William landed gracefully while holding out the crossbow to the side. I ran towards him who was a bit distant from me.
"Yo, how's cleanup on your side?"
"I'd say pretty decent... But that's not all of them..." - William
Wait a sec... You don't mean?
"There's another group of more than twenty people right in front of us." - William
"You kidding? Tell me that earlier!"
"Well, you were having fun killing them so I passed. Anyways, here!" - William
William passed a quick recovery potion towards me which I drank instantly.
I healed back up to the point where I can use time lock once again. Time lock is an ability that will lock a person in time once I landed a hit on a target. They will be stopped for one whole second only. The reason why I call this weapon Death Trap is because when I locked someone on time with the hook. I can deliver a sure kill move when the target is frozen by time lock. Time zero will help me deliver the kill as an insurance. Right now though, using time lock with time illusion works much better since you can deliver a barrage of attacks within a second with objects that follow the trajectory of the weapon.
"Ready?" - William
"Yep! Equal share?"
"Definitely..." - William
Me and William charged in towards the flock of knights on horses and went on a killing spree.
