Ming spent the next of her days doing nothing but eating and reading. Chen Mei visited her a few times to check upon her. On her every visit, she would have a story to tell to Yu Yan about her childhood days that were spent with the ML.
" And so he gave me his precious handkerchief when I fell down and hurt my knees. It was in that exact moment that I fell in love with him", She exclaimed excitedly. Her eyes sparkled like the bright stars in the sky every time she talked about Wang Yi Feng.
" You should've just bought another expensive handkerchief and given it to him. Why fall in love just because he gave you a cloth.", Ming replied casually. She indeed did not understand why the villainess was so easy to win over.
" It was not the cloth dear, it was his kindness and thoughtful action which attracted me to him", the villainess said. " Whatever", Ming rolled her eyes. Chen Mei knew that Yu Yang had never fallen in love and hence thought she was pitiful. Every time she tried to hook her up with a guy, Yu Yang always rejected her offer.
" And did I tell you that Yi Feng got a new secretary. In spite of the fact that she is poor, she has skills. No wonder, Yi Feng appointed her", Chen Mei informed her.
The story had started to uncover while Ming was doing nothing but relax.
After a few days," I am gonna tear them apart. How dare she seduce my fiance? I'll make sure to let her see that she is not worthy of him", Chen Mei spouted angrily as she burst open the door of the house. Yu Yang and she had been living together in the house for about 5 years now.
" What happened?", Ming asked without lifting her head. She was busy reading her new novel and couldn't be bothered with Chen Mei's outburst. She had been doing this on a daily basis recently. Two weeks had passed since the FL became ML's secretary and almost everyone knew the fact that he had been courting the FL.
" The villainess has probably started scheming, you should do something to stop her chosen one", the system reminded her anxiously. No matter how many times it had asked her to start doing the mission she always replied with a yes, and continued doing things her own way.
" Let her create some trouble, or else the novel might become completely boring without a villainess". Ming was in no hurry to finish her mission. She wanted to take her own time with it.
" You need not worry about those things. There is another system to handle it. So you should just focus on your mission.", it replied. " Another system?", Ming questioned.
"Yes, the other system will make its chosen one to act as a villain or villainess to maintain the story flow. So please do not waste your time concerning yourself with that", the system answered.
Ming got up from the sofa. " Then what should I do now to prevent her from turning evil?", she inquired. She had many ways to complete the mission, yet she decided to ask for its opinion.
" Well..... you have two options", the system responded, " One is to convince her to give up on ML and let them be. The other one is to make sure that her plans are not implemented and make her realize it the hard way. I suggest you to take the second option".
" Aren't you 'INNATE GOODNESS SYSTEM'. Shouldn't you be suggesting the first option? The second option may not make her hate ML or the FL, but she might release it on someone else", she retorted.
" To be honest, the first option is risky since her mind might change anytime. The success rate will only be 50% and might take much longer time. On the other hand, when her plans fail, she might just give up on it and move on. Also as long as doesn't trouble the female lead and the male lead, it doesn't matter who she takes her anger on. ", it replied with a serious voice.
" What you mean is, all you care about is your mission and not her feelings. Am I right?", Ming asked with a devilish smile. She too had intended to take the second option, because changing one's mind was not so easy, especially when someone who can hide their feelings. They might pretend to amend on their actions on the surface, but plot something big on the inside. She knew what the system told her was true, yet she decided to play with it for sometime.
" I-It's not like t-that", the system was flustered since she made it seem as thought it was the bad guy. Ming just smiled and and went to get ready. She wore a off shoulder white blouse with blue ripped jeans, applied light make up on her face and tied her hair up . She took her mobile and limited edition Bucci purse that was previously purchased by the host. Locking the door, she got on her car and rode straight to the ML's office.
After parking the car, she headed straight towards the elevator but was stopped by the receptionist at the front desk.
" Miss, have you taken appointment to meet the CEO?", a woman in her 20's who was sitting at the front desk asked politely. " No, I didn't. My visit is supposed to be a secret", Ming replied with a beaming smile. Yu Yang who was already beautiful, looked even more gorgeous with that smile.
" I am sorry but you can't meet him, Miss", the woman answered. The ML being handsome and rich, had many woman visiting him. The receptionist thought her to be one of them.
Having no choice she made a run towards the elevator and quickly pressed the button to close to door. The receptionist tried to catch up to her, but being no match to her speed she couldn't stop her. Therefore, she immediately called the secretary to inform her about the woman .
Ming got off as she reached the floor where the CEO's office was located. However she was instantly blocked by the FL , who was also the ML's secretary, along with the security
" Awww, there was no need for so many people to welcome me. Although, I dropped by without a informing ahead of time, you all are kind enough to come greet me. I am indeed touched by your action", Ming said gleefully as she winked at FL with a smile. Everyone present there were dumbfounded. Even a kid could see they were not here to welcome her but kick her out yet she was claiming that they were here to welcome her.
" Please go back while I am asking you kindly Miss, or else I'll have to get the security kick you out", FL said with a solemn face. She still had work to do and didn't want to waste her time here.
" What if I refuse?". Ming had no intention of going back, take a appointment, and then come back to meet him. Especially after she had spent so much of her energy to come all the way to the office, just to talk to him. She didn't want to associate herself with the main characters as it would bring nothing but trouble to her, but her mission didn't leave her with any choice.
