"Your man?" asked Qing Tian, looking at Qin Xuan's smug face.
"Yes," she said smilingly.
Currently, Qing Tian and Han Sen are in Qin Xuan's office in Steel Armor Shelter where her gang and her squad meet up.
Qin Xuan had brought them here after what had happened at the entrance of the shelter. By now, the rumors of Qing Tian being Qin Xuan's partner in bed should be widespread and well known by everyone.
"Now you can work with me, everyone now knows that you're my man. No one will do anything to you," she said as a matter of fact.
Qing Tian knew what game Qin Xuan was playing. If he accepts her protection like this, she will dislike him and his chance to take her to bed will be pushed back for another year.
In this case he needs to reject and propose something different. Qin Xuan, like Yang Manli, likes someone who is capable of fending for themselves. Something which Qing Tian has to prove to her.
"I can't and I won't accept this," said Qing Tian with a frown. "I can easily protect myself from the likes of Son of Heaven. I'm capable enough to protect myself, in fact, I'm capable enough to even protect you."
"Protect me? Do you know how many strong people have been wanting to attack me whenever I step out of the shelter?" Qin Xuan asked as she stood up and glared at Qing Tian. "Groups of people filled with those who have maxed their mutant Geno points.
All wishing to capture me and others wishing to violate me. All because I come from an influential family with money."
"And I'm sure I can protect just as fine, even better than the two guys standing outside your door," said Qing Tian as he looked into Qin Xuan's eyes.
"You…" Qin Xuan was confused by what Qing Tian was saying. She didn't have any bodyguards of the like, so she quickly ran to the door and found two men standing at the entrance guarding the place.
"…"
Both men were surprised by Qin Xuan, shocked at how she had caught them there.
Trying to play it off, one of the men nervously laughed, "Squad leader! We were just passing by…"
"Wait… I know you two," said Qin Xuan as she began frowning. "Tell my father that I don't need protection, I'm strong enough by myself. Grandfather himself said that I'm the one with the strongest potential in the family. He even said that my martial arts are on par with his."
The two men didn't know what to say. They just turned to each other before leaving.
With that being over, Qin Xuan turned to Qing Tian and looked at him seriously for a couple of seconds before sighing.
"How did you know they were there," asked Qin Xuan as she looked at Qing Tian skeptically.
"They didn't hide their presence, I could spot them a mile away," said Qing Tian with a shrug of his shoulders.
Qin Xuan laughed at Qing Tian's response and then shook her head. She closed the door and walked on back to her chair.
"Hey… who's that cute girl coming over here," said Qing Tian as he raised a smirk at Qin Xuan.
"What do you-" Qin Xuan was just about to write off Qing Tian's comment as a joke when there was suddenly a knock on the door.
Pausing, Qin Xuan looked at Qing Tian for a second before turning to the door, "Come in!"
Surprising Qin Xuan, a cute girl did walk in.
"Manli, what brings you here?" Qin Xuan asked Yang Manli, however her eyes were locked onto Qing Tian, wondering how he knew Yang Manli was going to come.
"Just needed to bring you some papers that need to be signed immediately," said Yang Manli before handing the papers in her hands to Qin Xuan and then leaving, but not before sending short glances at Qing Tian and Han Sen.
After a few seconds of silence and Qin Xuan staring at Qing Tian, Qin Xuan finally spoke up, "Alright. I won't protect you, but you will now be working with me. Whenever there's a raid on a Sacred-Blood creature, you're helping me out."
"No problem, I'll be sure to be there," said Qing Tian with a smile.
"Would you like to join my squad?" asked Qin Xuan, not wishing to let go of this moment to ask him to join her squad if he wasn't willing to join her gang.
Qing Tian smiled and said, "Maybe some other day. For now, I have to do some things before joining your squad."
Qing Tian didn't mind joining Qin Xuan's squad, after all it's how he's going to further his relationship with Yang Manli and meet Wang Mengmeng.
"Great! I'll be here to welcome you with open arms," said Qin Xuan as she smiled lightly and gazed at Qing Tian with a seductive fire in her eyes.
Qing Tian noticed that look and smiled back, "I'll be sure to jump into your arms when I come back."
Qing Tian stood up and left with Han Sen, but not before winking at Qin Xuan.

"Which one was it?"
"What do you mean?"
"Who, out of those two guys, is the one you feel in love with?"
"I… I didn't fall in love with him. I just have an interest in him… That's all… and he was the hot one," said Qin Xuan with a blush, the last part being a whisper.
Yang Manli smirked and said, "Well he looks very appetizing, but is he strong?"
At Yang Manli's question, Qin Xuan turned que and serious. She looked at Yang Manli and said, "Can you do a background check on him?"
"Was he that strong?" Yang Manli looked at Qin Xuan in shock.
"No, he hasn't shown me his strength yet," muttered Qin Xuan as she thought about how Qing Tian was able to sense Yang Manli and her father's two bodyguards.
"Then… is it 'that' again?"
"Yes."
Qin Xuan nodded and kept quiet, before revealing a sad look on her face for a moment.
"My father probably sent Heaven as an undercover bodyguard," said Qin Xuan. "But I also don't know for sure. This one is different from the others… I don't think he works for my father, but it's worth a try to find out if he is or isn't."
Yang Manli kept quiet and nodded. Qin Xuan always had people meet her like this and try to get closer to her. But it would always come out that they work for her father and that their feelings were all but a show.
With many moments like this happening, Qin Xuan began to dislike her father. (A/N: I'm adding some spice to her character, she doesn't have this background or history in the novel. From now on, I will start branching out and slowly transform this story to fit my tastes. It just means I'm no longer going to try and write some cannon stuff here.)

Leaving the place, Qing Tian and Han Sen went back to the Alliance and back to their houses.
"Come help me make some food, Mr. Amazing Chef," said Lin Xue as she noticed her son walking in.
Qing Tian went up to his mother and kissed her on the lips before asking, "What's the occasion?"
"Tang Ping is coming over today to talk. So no funny business," said Lin Xue as she gave Qing Tian another kiss on the lips.
Then another…
And another…

"Stop!" Lin Xue pulled herself off Qing Tian with a blush on her face, "We can do this tomorrow…"
Lin Xue almost couldn't hold herself back from giving in to Qing Tian's kisses.
Chuckling, Qing Tian helped and then went on back to his room to begin practicing Tempered Star Jade Essence Physique.
Sitting down on the bed, Qing Tian began circulating the Tempered Star Jade Essence Physique's flow.
Then, the magic of the Eternal Firmament Art worked and Qing Tian entered the Small Success Stage in an instant.
His body's defense was instantly able to block an attack as strong as his 25% of Fitness. He even felt his endurance increase a lot, and a sought change to his overall body, mind, spirit, and soul.
'That must've been the resistance effect,' thought Qing Tian as he felt that he did in fact felt a bit more resistant to everything. The previous cool room was now just… nothing. Qing Tian couldn't even feel the temperature, maybe if it was colder he would feel the room turn cool.
Qing Tian even felt like his body was resisting the gravity of Planet Roca, his body feeling a little lighter.
Even the wind! Qing Tian felt his movements had increased by a bit.
It had an overall effect on Qing Tian's body, the only thing that didn't change much was his own strength.
As Qing Tian circulated the energy of the Qigong, Qing Tian began to feel like a cool energy was washing through his head, calming him down. His emotions were being dampened and the calming effect allowed him to think at a very fast pace.
Qing Tian felt like the world was slowing down, allowing him to intake a lot of information in just half a second.
Seconds to minutes and minutes into hours, it was like time was slowing to a halt.
Qing Tian felt like his body was accelerated, the energy circulating in his body at an extreme rate.
After Qing Tian felt like a minute had passed, he checked the time and realized that only 48 seconds had passed.
'A 25% increase in reaction speed, thought processing, any mind activity, and even bodily speed that matches the mind,' thought Qing Tian as he stopped circulating the technique and felt everything go back to normal.
"A strong technique… and this thing about resistances is really out there," muttered Qing Tian as he did a wry smile.
For a Qigong that specializes in endurance, defenses and resistances, this Qigong really outside itself in the defense and distance department.
It was even resisting things like gravity and the wind.
It might even allow Qing Tian to start resisting the time continuity effect on the body through aging and death itself. He'd basically become immortal, the only way to die would be to be killed through unnatural causes.
Or maybe he just won't be allowed to die…
'In that case, I would need a powerful technique that enhances my healing if that were to ever happen,' thought Qing Tian as he felt the effect of the Small Success Stage on his body.
Qing Tian clenched his hand, thinking about this effect with a smile.
The effect being a good addition to Qing Tian should he ever need time to think things through and calmly. It was also an effect he could turn off just by cutting off the energy going to his mind.
This Qigong, Tempered Star Jade Essence Physique, and the Myriad Bone Tempering Art are both strong. Both only get even stronger in the future as Qing Tian travels to the next sanctuaries.
Progressing through both Qigong, Qing Tian will become more powerful and perfect in body.
'And there's still three Qigong left to practice,' thought Qing Tian as he looked at three techniques in his mind.

The room went quiet and the two figures in it were looking at each other until one of them looked away and smiled happily.
"I'm glad… glad that my father isn't involved with one boy for the first time in my life," said Qin Xuan as she sat down and sighed.
In the past few hours, Qin Xuan was feeling stressed as she wondered what she would do when she found out if Qing Tian works for her father.
Yang Manli looked at her leader for a few seconds before leaving.
'I need to get closer to this guy and figure out what his intentions are. I can't let him hurt my leader, no matter how tough she is,' thought Yang Manli as she left with a serious look on her face.
