Day in and day out, day after day
I work, work, work
Just to earn my stay
I wake up in the morning, feeling ill
I suppress a sigh, a moan and a groan
Oh great; I have a headache still
And yep, there's still pain in my foot from shifted bones
I put on my best work clothes
Brush my teeth and hair
I walk the dogs in the dark
Because I rise before the sun does
And when they're done, I feed them and put them up
I head out the door to realize I forgot my phone
God please help me; I can't do this alone
Finally, finally (sigh)
I'm almost to work; me and my iced latte
Day in and day out, day after day
I work, work, work
Just to earn our stay
