Ava's POV:
I speed down the all to familiar road, before pulling up in front of the old distillery. Getting out carefully, I make my way to entrance. I notice the vendetta spiral still on the building causing me to shiver. I pull the door open, and see Sebastian sitting in the middle of the room all creepily. "I knew you'd come sooner or later darling." He says, standing up and looking at me with a smile. "Why are you tormenting my brother's pack, bash? I thought we had a deal." I say, placing a hand on his chest. "Sugar, we do. That brother of yours is poking around in business he doesn't belong in." Bash says, placing his hands on my waist.
"Bash, you didn't need to threaten him. He's a kid, he's only doing what he knows is right. Protecting Beacon Hills, is my family's job." I whisper, watching Bash's face morph into annoyance. Before he can even speak, I hear Dereks voice. "What the fuck is this?" He shouts, staring me down. "Aw, the concerned older brother. Isn't that just cute?" Bash says, smirking. "Stop being an ass Seb." I say, stepping towards Derek. "Are you dating the enemy or something?" Derek asks me, while glaring at Sebastian.
"I'm not dating Seb, he's an ass that helped Grams and I a year ago. We're still in debt to him." I say, letting him in only 2% of the truth. "As much as I wish, I could date her I can't. That doesn't stop me, from fucking her every chance I get." Sebastian says, smirking. I hear Derek growl, and try to take a step closer to Seb. "Der, please don't. You're an alpha but so is he." I say, pleading with Derek to stop. "I'd listen to her, there Hale. She knows me, way better than you. After all, it's kinda sad you don't recognize me." Seb says, causing me to glare towards him.
After convincing Derek to get in my car, I look at Sebastian. "Don't ever, and I mean ever threaten to tell my brother again. I saved your ass multiple times when you betrayed your father. Don't make me go to Deucalion, and tell him what his son is up to." I say, before storming outside and to my car. On the drive home, it was awkward. We both wanted to question each other, but neither of us know how to approach the subject.
"How do you know Sebastian?" Derek asks, finally breaking the silence. "I told you, he helped Grams and I last year. Some hunters were causing problems, and he helped get them off our case." I say, focusing on the road. "The way it looked though, you guys looked like a couple." Derek says, causing me to sigh. "I dated his brother. That brought us close, when his brother was killed; we made a vow to take care of each other. He doesn't have any family, all he had was his brother and me." I say, deciding to give Derek as much information as I saw would shut him up. After that, we pulled up in front of the house and head inside.
I head up to my room, and see Grams sitting on my bed. "It's not safe here no more. Sebastian trying to overthrow the family and Scott being a true alpha, will lead the alpha pack right here and find him. I'm afraid we have to move again, nobody can know what you are and that we helped Sebastian." Grams says, grabbing my hand. "No, we're not leaving. I'm tired of running Grams. I'm finally back with my family, I will not let the alpha pack ruin that. I'll stay and I'll fight." I say, as grams sighs. "Then I'm leaving without you, because I refuse to get killed over all this. I refuse to watch you get killed." Grams says, before angrily storming out of my room. I step in the hall and see her about to enter her room. "You're a selfish old bitch, that's a coward. You wanna run and hide, instead of defending your family. That shows how much they mean to you, so go ahead and do what you do best, run like the wuss you are and while you're at it; drop the last name Hale, you don't deserve it." I shout, causing everybody to freeze. I watch grams, as tears fall from her eyes. I roll my eyes at her, and head back into my room before slamming the door.
I lay in my bed crying to myself, about how stupid and cowardly my grams is. If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't be in this mess. If we would have just stayed, we wouldn't have met Sebastian and I wouldn't have to fight to have/build a relationship with my own siblings. I sit lost in thought, as mom comes in and sits on my bed. "Are you sure, you wanna stay and help us protect Beacon Hills?" Mom asks, while smiling at my gently. "Mom, I'm a Hale. It's in my blood to protect it. I may not be a werewolf, but I'm not human either. If people find out about me, then I'll deal with it." I say, grabbing her hands. "You're definitely my daughter, as stubborn as ever; but overall, you're a true warrior." Mom says, placing a kiss on my head. "I think you need to tell your siblings, all of them; what you are. They deserve to know, you're their sister and you're the only one that can stop everything heading this way." Mom says, causing me to sigh. I watch as she leaves my room, as my thoughts take over. How will I tell my siblings this? Will they accept me?
