Hello, I'm Hyungdo. As of right now, I seem to currently be.. dead. The reason? I went out of my comfort zone to save a brat from getting hit by a car.... only to see them run away ungratefully as I took their place.
I suppose I could sympathize with the kid, but I'm too petty right now (￣^￣).
Now, I'm just drifting in a void. I'll have to admit, it's quite comfortable... I hope I don't have to leave..
Suddenly, a bright orb of light pops out in front of me. I get startled for a second before drifting back into comfort and ignored it.
[...Hi there!], an orb of light greeted me as I drifted in the darkness.
".....", I stared at it blankly.
[...Hello? Hello? Is this thing working?], it seemed to be a bit frantic...
Suddenly, I struck out my hand and poked it... It felt weird.
[?!?%*#?@$?!] it let out a stream of silent curses as it jolted backwards. [?? Um, I see that you're with me now, h-host... You must be curious as to why you're here and who I am!]
[...not really.] I looked at the orb with a blank stare.
[Host ㅜㅜ... well, I have to inform you anyway so please listen!] the orb looked at me, it seemed to be at its wits end.
I stared in response.
[.. I'll take that as the green light. Well, as you know, you're current dead—]
[Actually I didn't know~] I interrupted blankly. Though, it didn't really matter if I was dead or not since I didn't have much going on while I was alive anyway.
[.... Well, now you do! *cough* Moving on, you've been selected with a few other humans to live in a new world with a system, your case being me, to level up and save said new world! Of course, it will be difficult, but the results will be fruitful, host!] the system explained in a cheerful tone.
[Oh. But, do I really have to?] I lazily responded.
[Of course, Host! Doesn't an adventure seem fun?! Normally others would hop at any chance like this!] the system seemed a bit frazzled by my lack of enthusiasm.
[Seems like too much work, if you ask me.]
[?!%$@??€!] the orb seemed to tremble with pending rage. I stifled a laugh.
[... Anyway, what should I even call you?] I decided to stop teasing and move on since there's no use in refusing death.
[Ah! Glad to see you finally ask something, Host! I go by System 04, Four, for short! I hope my dear host will take this mission seriously in the future ^^]
[... First, too much work. Second, ChiChi is a much better name...] with that I started to "doze off", although, I guess it was more like ignoring everything since I couldn't really sleep in this weird void..
