The greatest happiness you can have is knowing that you do not necessarily require happiness. "– William Saroyan
Only once in your life, I truly believe, you find someone who can completely turn your world around. You tell them things that you've never shared with another soul and they absorb everything you say and actually want to hear more. You share hopes for the future, dreams that will never come true, goals that were never achieved and the many disappointments life has thrown at you. When something wonderful happens, you can't wait to tell them about it, knowing they will share in your excitement.
They are not embarrassed to cry with you when you are hurting or laugh with you when you make a fool of yourself. Never do they hurt your feelings or make you feel like you are not good enough, but rather they build you up and show you the things about yourself that make you special and even beautiful. There is never any pressure, jealousy or competition but only a quiet calmness when they are around. You can be yourself and not worry about what they will think of you because they love you for who you are.
The things that seem insignificant to most people such as a note, song or walk become invaluable treasures kept safe in your heart to cherish forever. Memories of your childhood come back and are so clear and vivid it's like being young again. Colours seem brighter and more brilliant. Laughter seems part of daily life where before it was infrequent or didn't exist at all. A phone call or two during the day helps to get you through a long day's work and always brings a smile to your face.
In their presence, there's no need for continuous conversation, but you find you're quite content in just having them nearby. Things that never interested you before become fascinating because you know they are important to this person who is so special to you. You think of this person on every occasion and in everything you do.
Simple things bring them to mind like a pale blue sky, gentle wind or even a storm cloud on the horizon. You open your heart knowing that there's a chance it may be broken one day and in opening your heart, you experience a love and joy that you never dreamed possible.
You find that being vulnerable is the only way to allow your heart to feel true pleasure that's so real it scares you. You find strength in knowing you have a true friend and possibly a soul mate who will remain loyal to the end. Life seems completely different, exciting and worthwhile. Your only hope and security is in knowing that they are a part of your life.
I felt alive, I was so happy to finally meet some one I thought we could share something beautiful and magical. Not anymore after hearing about he and Demi. The worst part of it all is being invited to her birthday party tonight at her house.
"You shouldn't go if you don't want to" Tessy noticed my mood swing.
"I'll be fine, thanks for your concern. The earlier I accepted it, the easier I will be able to let go. " I assured her. And I was going to forget about everything.
I had just gotten out from the shower when Tessy texted me that she was coming over so we leave together. I took out a red floral dress and slipped on my silver heels to complement my outfit. I applied only mascara and lip gloss. 0I watched myself in the mirror.
As if on cue Tessy texted to tell me she had arrived. I drove us to the place which was a fifteen minutes ride to the place. The place was filled with students of Ridge Wood and Sunnyside. I was hoping to meet Trevor so we could go inside together.
"Hey girls, you look stunning tonight" He approached us. We thanked him and we went inside only for Tessy to disappear with her date.

Demi's House
We were on our way to get a seat when we came into contact with Gregory and Demi. I took Trevor's hand in mine as we approached.
"I'm glad you made it, please sit with us" She told me. I didn't want to give any sign of indifference so I agreed. I noticed Gregory's stare since we came into contact.
Could he have feelings for me too?
"Can I steal you away after she cuts the cake? " He bent closer to me. It gave me goosebumps all over.
"I wouldn't mind either ways" I told him. And I immediately regretted looking in their way. Gregory was busy locking lips with Demi.
I really needed to get out of here. I was saved when Demi got up and announced that it was time to cut the cake and we gathered around her. After it all I texted Tessy to come for my keys. I left my car in her care and we left in Trevor's car.
The place was so beautiful and perfect. I instantly fell in love with the serene environment. I sat on the swing with Trevor beside me. We spoke only a few words in between as we enjoyed each other's company. He is an amazing guy and I wouldn't have second thoughts if ever he should ask me out.
We left the park really late. We didn't notice time swing by so quick. The drive to my house was wonderful, we sang along to every single song that he played. It was the rhythm that blended our voices together.
"Thanks for today. I'll see tomorrow" He leaned closer.
"I guess it's good bye and drive safe" Deep down I didn't want it end. Before I could say anything, he kissed me, said these three words; "I love you" and then he was gone before I could say anything.
I didn't understand why he kissed me but it felt nice. I don't know why I was feeling that way and I didn't also want to know why Trevor kissed me, all I know and remember was he said he loved me. But will I be able to love him back?
