With only six teams advancing to the semi finals. Things were getting exhilarating. Rein's team however managed to reach the semi finals but the whole crowd felt like this is it for them, after fighting two more match Rein revealed that he was just ordinary, some instructors lost interest in him
'it'll be too stressful to spend so much energy on him when there are other talents'
When it comes to raw talent Rein lacked it what he showed was potential that if taught well he'll become stronger but many instructors can not afford to waste time on him. The space given for learning in the academy was two years, to the instructor it was a very short and limited time. Another reason the instructor wanted to have disciples was for the sake if after the academy. The graduates are often given the opportunity to serve with their graduating rank in the Central Artic military.
So it'll be a great honour to be the a master to someone who might end up being a part of the union in future, such honorary was what the vice principal carried.
Redmoon vs Droshveth
Ervale vs Deadbringers
Ironsmith vs Amazon
DarkSentinels vs Armourers
The AP accumulated so far was now useless. Avoiding match was not possible during finals so this fight had to be fought head on. Jon stood straight ever conscious of the opponent that stood in front of him.
"(what the hell is this girl... spirit magic)"
"You're quite popular in the magic class"
"I'm honored"
She raised her slim and white hands "show yourself Upinis"
A fishlike humanoid emerged from the floor as it came out Jon looked at the floor.
'the floor is wet.... did it make all the arena ground it's domain..as I suspected, they aren't easy to deal with, but is she dumb... Using a water type spirit against me???'
"do your thing Upinis"
-Before that, you have to promise me something
'Ha.... this bastard, I forgot he's a perverted spirit, I should've called out Nighe... just that I don't quite have power over her yet'
She finally talks after taking a breathe, "alright I'll tell you the colour of my panties"
The humanoid fish rubbed it's hand against its wide jaw, -We've done that so many times now, I'm tired of it. Instead show it to me
"ehh... You want me to show you my panties?!"
-Of course, I'm the great river spirit do you think your panties color worthes anything like when back in my hometown I used to have lots of beautiful ladies bathe in me... Ahh such beautiful memories... Yet here I am heeding to the commands of a young chestless lady and she can't even show me her panties.
She looks down at her chest, embarrassed 'perverted bastard'..... "fine but only if you make him bow at my feet and say he surrenders"
-right away!!
Jon waited their whole conversation not because he wanted to but because when it comes to dealing with spirits it's best to be patient. Spirits often derive their power from the history and environment of where they exist. So even though it's a river spirit that stood in front if him. It's ability may far exceed just spilling water and wetting ground. He wasn't the type to start a battle without a plan in mind.
The spirit faced Jon,
-Lowly human. Bow before her and say you surrender
".....what?" Jon was dumnfounded
The spirit continued to shout from where it stood.
-are you deaf!!! Surrender now!!!
Jon slapped his hand on his face, 'to think this was what I was being cautious of this...'
"Enough!" as he shouted the wet ground iced immediately, the audience awed at the beautiful site of the wide round arena ground freezing at an amazing speed.
The spirit was unable to move as its webbed feet was also frozen.
• chh... using this part of my power makes me puke.
-ssh-
Smoke evolved as the spirit changed its skin from its original sky-blue to red. The frozen floor began to melt.
-Ahh damnit why did I have to come out, i'll burn everyone
The spirit burst into laugher and began to spit out fire randomly as if it had gone crazy.
Jon dodge and used ices to reduce the damage of the fire
'as expected, it had other abilities... Did it intentionally taunt me into fighting first...'
The lady stood still as she watched her contracted spirit do the work. Spirit magic was the most comfortable type of magic, the only time it required large mana was when subduing the spirit into forming a contract with you. The spirit does not use its contractor's mana unless it runs out of its own mana but when the master is disturbed it could greatly affect the stability of the spirit so the contractor had to be focus all the time.
The spirit changed, compared to the first nature which was goofy and tricky, this one was blinded by anger and didn't know how to coordinate its attack.
Of course Jon was an elementalist and he definitely could take care of this but he had to know if the spirit was capable of Changing again so he decided to taunt it. He began to shoot Ice cones at it. The spirit continued to bombard him with fire balls.
"why are you so angry, you're ugly enough. Getting angry on that face bahhh! how despicable"
-uhh...- He finally stopped and looked at Jon, -what did you call me?
"I called you ugly, what will you do. You should stop whining like a baby, maybe you need to let the water dude take over cause he's obviously better"
"Is he taunting ulpinis right now....shh I have to use another spi-"
The fire fish humanoid blindly dashed towards Jon.
"No you don't" Jon gave a menancing smile, then.
"Fire prison"
Bars of fire appeared from the thin air and encaged the fire type Ulpinis.
"Burn"
-wooooosh-
The fire bars began to expand and inside the bar was engulfed by fire.
-splaaaashh-
Water poured from inside the cage and began to weaken the fire. Jon raised his fist 'exactly as I predicted'... "...Freeze"
The crowd once again awed. Jon was known for his perfect control over ice, since he was an elementalist it was only reasonable that he would excel very well at controlling ice to its full capacity. Elementalist had very good affinity with all nine element but it did not mean they could control all nine at will. But its been seen of being able to control two, it had to be of almost the same nature. The element expected of Jon to be able to use even if he was suppose to be a dual elementalist was water but then he was controlling fire not only that, he's control was perfect. Switching from fire to ice as though it was nothing, this was a true talent.
Jon surrounded the Serah with Ice cones immediately
"make a sound and I'll stab you just enough to make you almost die. But don't worry, you won't
Jon's match came to and end and Zolin was about to head up Rein stopped him.
"Are you sure you want to do that, I can take him if you want"
Zolin smiled towards Rein he was about to talk when Quetzalxochitl cut in.
"You can't, even he can't"
"uhh...? Are you looking down on me right now"
"even though that brat is only sixteen, he's a monster. He's different from us but when it comes to this, he's totally unpredictable just like our father"
