That morning at the office Zeze was asked to quickly rush to her managers office immediately she got to work, she thought she was going to get penalized for getting late to work she was fully prepared for it though she usually doesn't go to work late, she stayed up all night looking after her uncle who was hospitalized that night for kidney failure it was an emergency nobody expected, Zeze got to her managers office who was sitting on her desk they exchanged pleasantries, looking up at Zeze from her desk with a pitiful look she asked her to go to the CEOs office immediately, her manager Erica was fund of her, liked her alot and knew how much Zeze worked hard everyday since she got into the company if she hard her way she would had stopped the CEO from what he was about to do but she was powerless, she would had given Zeze a promotion because that was what she deserved .....
In the CEOs office Zeze, wearing a fitted black t shirt and a fitted orange coloured skirt above her knees she stood in front of his desk looking at his serious cold expression, Zeze was scared of him just like every other co-workers, she avoided him as much as she could to avoid getting on his bad side because anybody that did never gets out, he looked up to her pointing at an envelope on the table in the mist of pilled files and documents he asked her to take it, open it and read it in his office, CEO Ruf's office was the largest in the company, it had just one large window right behind his desk, an air conditioner, a large tv set and two sofa's. CEO Ruf is a quiet, smart, tricky and an ice cold person with so many secrets and Scarry pasts which he couldn't let go.

Zeze lost both parents at the age of three in a domestic accident since then she lived with her uncle who found her a year after her parents death, they showered her with so much love and care, they treated her like she was their biological daughter, they had no child which explained why she was pampered so much, her uncle and aunty very rich
they ownned a hotel and an estate in the past but not presently,when Zeze was eighteen they lost all they had to a very tricky cameliun in the disguise of human clothing Zeze was out to find out who this evil man was but both parents refused to let her know who it was, after her aunty passed away she promised to find out who it was that took away their peaceful and happy life and brought this misery upon them even though her uncle talked her out of it several times, two more years had passed since her Aunty's death she still had no clue and now her uncle was hospitalized yesterday and needed surgical transplant.
opening the envelope, she read the content of the white shit in it, it was a demotion letter she was shocked, angry, sad and helpless, looking up at his face she calmly asked him what she did deserve a demotion, he simply told her he just felt like it and that she had no right to question him, his words angered her the more she started raising her voice telling him how much she worked so hard for the company, how much she loved her job and needed the job, he sat still on his seat with no emotions on his face he looked at her without a word and smiled briefly, it increased her anger and she kept on raising her voice, she resigned immediately and walked out of his office angrily.

That same day at the hospital Zeze prepared porridge for her hospitalized uncle, sitting at his bedside she happily feed him and chatted with him, while the happy chat continued he asked her why she wasn't at work , she simply smiled at him and lied that she was given the permission to come visit her sick father.
hours later he fell asleep Zeze covered him with his blanket and went to the doctors office, sitting on the chair in front of him he asked her if she had the money for the transplant and if she had a donor or if she was going to buy a kidney instead, after estimating the cost Zeze was dumbfounded even her monthly salary at the company wasn't going to be enough and she already lost her job she pleaded with the doctor to be a little patient with her while she pays his medical bills.
outside the hospital Zeze walked a little to get some fresh air and think things through, she decided to get a job anywhere she could at the moment while submitting her documents for interviews at other companies, the thought of selling the family house crossed her mind, after giving it much thought she refused to do so, after a while of thinking she picked up her cell phone from the pocket of her trouser and gave Philip a call, Philip is her childhood friend they met in grade seven and lived in thesame neighborhood, she called to get his assistance in getting a new job.
