Chapter 5 - Farewell

Xueqin took his hand to stand up. He bowed to him "Yes! Master!" He quickly accepted as his other option was unthinkable.

Mucheng nodded "Yin, prepare a special regime transfer."

"Of course, master" the voice sounded again. It only took 5 seconds before it answered "Completed" He approached the computer and extracted the shining rock of before.

"Let's go" He took Xueqin for the shirt and dragged him outside.

"Wait, wait, wait!" Demanded Xueqin gaining a killing glance. Even if scared, he still continued "Why we must go now? Chi promised to come today. Can we not wait until she came? It will be a day at most."

"Impossible" answered Mucheng without stopping "Your data had already been sent, it won't be long before some forces know about a full innate soul power, coming here. We can't wait."

Xueqin made a thoughtful face, his new master was right and he already said that if someone discover his Seraphim, he would kill him. But he really wanted to see Chi again "A-at least, let me write a letter for Chi! I don't want her to worry about me."

Mucheng sighed and released Xueqin on the ground, giving him some paper and a pen "Be concise and don't be so idiot to name me or your spirit."

Xueqin nodded, he would have to write Chi all that happened but he was sure that his new master would read the letter before and looking at his face, his time to write was really short.

Xueqin quickly wrote the letter. First, he tried to calm Chi, explaining that something important had happened and that he must go, but she didn't need to worry about him. Finishing promising to become strong and met her again.

Once he finished, effectively, Mucheng carefully read the letter before nodding to it. Mucheng again took Xueqin, dragging him outside.

Just as the left the room, a curious Priest Qi was waiting for them "How did it go, Sir Cardinal?"

Mucheng barely diverted his attention to Priest Qi "I will take the kid myself, the preparations are already made."

Just as Mucheng was crossing Priest Qi, Xueqin threw him the letter "Priest Qi, it's a letter for Chi. Please, make sure that she receives it." He said before disappearing outside the building.

Priest Qi found himself standing alone with a dumbfounded face holding a letter and thinking about what had happened now.

Mucheng and Xueqin swiftly left the city "I wanted to see Chi" Pouted Xueqin.

"Life is not always to your like. Life is mostly very hard" Mucheng said looked at the kid in his hand, remembering something sad (You shouldn't do promises that you can't keep. A painful moment is far better than a life of waiting) Mucheng though for himself.

Over the orphanage, a red-haired little girl entered the building pushing the door with a great strength that wasn't comparable with her body "Qinqin, I have great news!" She said smiling wanting to see again his little brother and share the good news with him.

"Qinqin, where are you?" She started going all over the orphanage trying to find Xueqin without much result. Everyone who she asked for him, he didn't know where Xueqin was or tried to avoid her.

Finally, she found Priest Qi "Priest Qi!" she waved approaching the old man.

"Oh? It's not little Chi" Priest Qi smiled, making her smile. He was the only adult that really care for her in all these years "What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be at the academy?".

"I asked permission" She answered with a smile "I wanted to see Xueqin in his awakening day. I also have very good news, I obtained some resources, enough for me and Xueqin to live. We can live together again!" She said with joy in his voice. "Where's Qinqin?" she asked looking excitedly at her surroundings.

"Little Chi" Priest Qi frowned making a difficult expression "Little Qin had left the orphanage this morning."

"Something happened?!" She asked very worriedly. They had promised to see each other today, if Xueqin had left, something important or dangerous might have happened. Maybe an accident.

"You don't need to worry, Chi" Priest Qi tried to calm her down "He left with a high-rank officer of the Dawn Church. He would be safe." Priest Qi started searching something inside his pockets, taking out Xueqin's letter and giving it to Chi "He had left this letter for you before leaving. He surely would explain that all is fine."

Chi quickly destroyed the envelope impatiently, revealing the letter. She looked at the single page, looking at the front and behind, turning it up side down and twisting, but it didn't change its contents. It was a full blank letter. A full blank letter's meaning was that the sender didn't want to talk again with the receiver.

"Qinqin?" Tears started to fall from her eyes as she was completely stunned. Her body started trembling.

"Little Chi?" Priest Qi approached the shocked girl, worried about her.

"Boom!" An evil dark aura exploded around Chi, pushing Priest Qi, crashing to the wall. "Even you have abandoned me. Chi has nothing." she said with a sad tone as her last tears fell. The tears over her eyes, replaced by a vicious gaze, her violet eyes shining brightly.

"Xueqin!" She growled in fury, clenching her hands, destroying the blank letter. Without even looking at Priest Qi's state, Chi turned around. She left the orphanage, destroying the big doors with a strong kick.

Outside, she put her hand over her pendant, a card with her ID appearing to her other hand. "Chi is no more" Darkness swallowed the ID, destroying it "Chi is dead!" She growled with fury. A white ring shined around her, slowly turning yellow and shining brightly.

"Boom!" Darkness extended over her, her body disappearing from the scene.
