Today is a special day, it's my eighteenth birthday. Mother and father allowed me to stay in the main room, while Mother prepared a special dinner and father left for town.
It wasnt long tho till father came back running through the door,he seemed panicked. He sent me back to my room and all I could hear was the muffled voices of my parents....something is wrong.
Mother came down and sat next to me, the look on her face was something I've never seen before....but then she started to tell me I had to go, for my own safety. There are people looking for me for thier king and that he wanted me dead. Father suddenly burst through the door, he said that they were here and I had to run. He gave me his travel bags and then a sword along with a bow and arrows.
That's when I heard the banging on the door, mother kissed me on my forehead and went up to the main room, father moved my bed were there was a latch. He opened it and had me go down the ladder inside. Before closing the latch he said he loved me and to remember what they tought me.
Then the yelling started, I could hear the men asking where I was, father denying that I existed...then his voice stopped and mother scream, only for her voice to cut out. That's when I knew today is the last day I will ever see my parents again.
I dried my tears and ran, they died protecting me... I can't allow thier efforts to go to waste.
