I got home as soon as the meeting ended to avoid spending any more time with Loren. when I got home, no one was there. Neither Adam nor Jacob. Where is everyone? Not even Lady Anna. I searched every room, kitchen and living area but they're nowhere to be found. I searched my phone to call Jacob then realized I didn't take it from uncle Wilson. I used our telephone and heard a phone ringing on the couch. His phone is here, this means he is hiding somewhere. So, I quickly changed into jeans and a T-shirt and started searching for them, taking each step carefully. I am sure they are up to something. When I slid open the door to the garden area, I was soaked into a bucket full of water meanwhile Adam and Jacob rolled out of the bushes laughing.
"You guys are dead now." I ran towards them and they steadied themselves on their feet to escape.
"Why don't we have a hug?" I said, stretching my hands towards them.
"No!" They both shouted together and ran away.
We ran until we're out of breath and laid on the ground.
"You guys better be ready for the revenge," I said and stood up.
"Should we be afraid?" Jacob raised his head above to face me.
Adam chuckled and turned around lying on his stomach while resting his elbows on the ground. "You haven't taken revenge for the mustache yet."
"What mustache?" Jacob asked.
Adam said what he did and added. "She said she will turn me into a pupa." They both burst into laughter.
"I know, she is not a revenge person," Jacob said.
I am still standing here and they are making fun of me. I took a water pipe which we use to water the plants and gush the water on them.
"Stop... It. It's cold." Adam yelled at me.
"I don't have clothes to change." This was Jacob.
I didn't think of it.
"You should have thought that before." I turned off the tap and threw the pipe away.
He held his shirt in his fist and stretched it out. "Now what?"
Where Adam ran inside, for sure to take a hot bath.
"I am not going to give you my clothes," I said and walked in. Took a bath and dressed in black leggings paired up with dark green full sleeves T-shirt covering till my knees. It's the third time I am getting dressed.
When I came out in the living room, saw Jacob was shirtless drying his hair with a towel. His T-shirt was hanging on the chair's back.
"You are not supposed to roam half-naked in my house," I said.
He threw the towel at me and said. "Someone's being rude by not giving me clothes to wear."
"Go and ask Adam," I said and walked out to put the towel for drying.
"His muscles will tear apart my T-shirt," Adam said while walking out of his room.
"Both of you siblings are mean," Jacob said and sat on the chair oppositely, with his legs on either side and hands resting on it's back.
We chuckled at his words and I walked into my room to get something for him to cover. I took a blue T-shirt where 'Varsity Girl' was written on it and came out of my room smiling.
Lady Anna entered with some paper bags in her hands. "What were you kids doing?" She asked.
"Their fault." I pointed my fingers at them.
"Her fault." They both said while pointing towards me.
"No."
"Whoever fault it is." She said and turned towards Jacob. "You are not supposed to be naked in our house." She supplied and kept the bags on the kitchen counter.
She acts like a mother sometimes.
I threw the T-shirt at him. "I am not wearing it." He said as soon as he read what was written on it.
"Tell her," I said, pointing towards the kitchen.
He narrowed his eyes at me and wore it. Just as Adam said, his muscles were exposed out of it not tearing though. We had our food and Jacob left not before changing back into his T-shirt. After doing our homework we went to sleep.
Adam slept and I was wide awake thinking about Loren just like the night when we first signed the deal. Why did he kiss me?? Er. I can never understand him. He has a different personality, in college like a good teacher. But in office a rude and stubborn moron as if he has a disassociative identical disorder. Idiot! This is too much to think. I threw tantrums in the air and turned around resting my face on the pillow until my lungs were out of the oxygen. Raising my head, I took a deep breath and stood in a sitting position.
I want to have a bath, it feels like warm water washes away everything.
I laid again straight, staring at the ceiling. I spend a lot of time in the water today and I don't want to change my clothes for the fourth time. So, I stood up again and walked out to the terrace, maybe fresh air can refresh my mind.
The wind was cold and the sky was full of stars. I like watching stars. It's like they break out of the dark sky to see the silent sleep of the world under their light.
GLOWWORM
Stars shine bright high up the sky,
Spreading its light making the world so bright.
Though they cannot vanish the complete darkness of night,
They twinkle to show the presence of light.
A little creature GLOW WORM just like a star,
Having a torch on its tail which sparks.
Traveling from one place to another with its blazing tail,
Stimulating it's flare burning murky veil.
Kenning, it cannot evaporate the gloomy air,
Faire it's glow calling others from the lair.
They all glint together lightning up the bay,
Shattering the darkness from the place they stay.
I stood there for a long time, coldness in the wind was freezing my ears and nose. Reluctantly, I walked into my room and laid heavily on the bed
Picturing the stars with my closed eyes, I fell asleep.
My alarm was ringing but I don't want to off it. Kept the pillow on my face, I tried to avoid the sound. My phone kept quiet probably snooze mode was on. And after 5 minutes, it rang again. I felt someone crawled over me from one side to another and the alarm was off.
Adam pulled the pillow off my face and said. "Why didn't you off it? It was ringing for 10 minutes."
"Ask Lady Anna to drop you." I sighed and turned around I don't want to to go to college.
"Have you forget?" He asked.
"Forget what?" I asked.
"Lady Anna isn't here. She went to her sister's place"
"When?" I turned towards him. "And without even informing"
"She specified you yesterday after dinner." He said. "Did you lose your memory?" and asked.
I wasn't paying attention to her words.
"Get ready, I will prepare something to eat." I did my morning routine and prepared scrambled eggs along with toast. Adam had his food meanwhile, I packed a sandwich in an aluminum foil for his lunch.
I dropped him at the school and made my way straight back to home. I was cogitating about Loren while having breakfast when the telephone rang.
"Where're you? And why is your phone switched off?" Jacob said from the other side of the receiver.
"That, I forget to charge it last night," I replied.
"Why aren't you in college yet?" He asked surprisingly.
"Well. I am not coming to college today."
"Why not? Are you alright?" He started worrying again.
"It's nothing imp-" He cut me off.
"There is something I want you to know. So be here quick." He said and hung off the phone.
Why today?!
I took a long route to the college. The first class was already over which was chemistry and second was math. After that, there is a language class. So, I directly made my way to the language class. I'll not be facing Loren here. Jacob caught me in the middle of the corridor.
"It's not a language class. It's maths." He said.
"I know. I have some work in there-" He cut me again.
Let me finish my sentence.
"Forget about your work. Come with me." Before I could protest, he dragged me into our class and held a paper in front of me.
"What is this?" I asked.
"Inter-college music competition." He replied, smiling.
"So?"
"So, I mentioned your name in this." He widened his smile while folding his hands back.
"Have you gone mad? How can I-" He cut off for the third time today.
"Stop getting mad at me. I know you're a terrible singer. It's just instrumental competition."
"I am worse at that too."
"C'mon you can play piano"
"I am just a beginner. I don't know anything to play more than twinkle-twinkle, London bridge, and some other poems. Cancel my name right now." I protested.
"I know. You're not a solo participant. You're just going to be an accompanist and I already submitted your name." He said.
I don't have time for this.
"Of whom?" I asked.
"Of a violinist." He answered.
"And who is that?"
"Jeal."
Oh!
"So that's the reason behind that grin," I smirked at him.
"Not at all. I am just exposing your talent. Be thankful to your knight"
"Yeah-yeah. of course."
Loren entered when the whole class was discussing this. He tapped a big book on the table to gain our attention. And we all silently took our seats.
Oh no! He is here. I cannot escape now. Don't look at him, Levy.
I obeyed my internal voice and didn't raise my head from the book. As usual, he asks me to bring our notes after class. I took Afrodoide's help. she happily accepted to do this work and took the books to his office.
