Thomas was dumbfounded by my words.
I stood still in my seat and Thomas was just looking at me. I didn't expect myself to say such things and I was so embarrassed on the inside, hoping time would turn back.
I didn't know what my facial expression was at that time but I figured it was a little-bit-annoying from Thomas' reaction. He shifted his gaze to the floor and took a step back.
Seems like he finally understood how annoying he was.
A gardener was mowing the garden outside the classroom with a lawn mower. The sound of the machine was loud and I had the urge to give him my thanks. It made our voices barely audible so Thomas did not speak either.
I felt guilty for being a little too rude to him earlier but if I hadn't said that, Thomas would still be talking now despite the noise outside.
The mowing did not take long as it was done frequently. The classroom became silent once the machine noise could no longer be heard.
