Kay had to travel frequently in the next few months given some commitments he had made. Yan Lan's busy schedule had not stopped yet despite he had never taken eyes off two things showing him the new place and their timeline they had charted out.
"Kay is this okay?" He was looking at the print and design that he had asked the team to refine. Looks good.
"Were you angry with him?" A good friend of his asked
"For?" He continued with his work while he asked that.
"These recent rumours." He was asked
He stopped and look up "In this line that we are in, everyday is just filled with all kinds of rumours and scandals, not surprising if parties monetise from it, we don't need to justify and explain which will cause matters worst. Trust and faith is more important than anything" That was his constant response to everyone around him
Yan Lan and him had a deeper understanding than meets the eyes. Their love strong and passionate yet filled with silent understanding at times.
They had postponed their visit to the place to the coming weekend and when it did finally came Yan Lan was far more excited than he could imagine he would be.
The moment they turn into the road leading to the place. The weather at this season is rather cold. Yan Lan had spend the few weekends here before furnishing up the remaining place with the right possible touches. The hallway had a painting with both of them beautifully portrayed. There was again a vase of roses on the glass table at the living room just like how it always have been.
As they reach the drive way, he was just calmly parking the car while Kay again gave him the smile that made him feel comforted that it's another part of their timeline they had always wanted to checked off.
Yan Lan unlocked the door and turn around "ready?"
"Mnnn" as he stepped in, the clean white colouring shades made it feel spacious, it was lovely. The first thing that caught Kay's eyes was their portrait that was hung up - both sweet smiling faces. Kay amazed and touched with the effort, he walked over and stood there 'after all these while' he thought how much has this walk costs them, yet looking at the portrait in front - it really reflect a couple deeply in love. He was mesmerised by it every little detail on the facial expression drawn on the portrait.
"I'm here" as the warm hands came through his waist turning him around whispering "don't admire the one in front, it's static, appreciate the real one here" he said as he turn him around locking Kay into his embrace just recharging the energy needed through the embrace.
Kay look at those eyes now staring into him and a sudden blush came as he look down still always shy in being confronted. Yan Lan move in to kiss those longing lips before Kay interrupted it "eermm shall we see the rest of the place" Yan Lan pulled back smiling sheepishly "just so you..." he said as he look back at the shy soul in front.
"Okay let's do that then, come this to the kitchen Tada! the kitchen for my chef!" Yan Lan showing off the kitchen but Kay was more fascinated with the little imprint pictures of cats and dogs tiled on the wall across the kitchen which made him smile.
"Like it??" Yan Lan seeking for the right response
Kay nodded "thank you for all these little details."
"Well my designer has such high expectations, I need to at least meet some minimal standards don't I? Yan Lan gave him a wink.
Kay moved on to the living room area and smiled as he looked at the red roses calling out to him. He took up the vase and lightly breathe in the scent and soft red petals brushing it on his cheeks.
Putting it down he turned around looking at the satisfied eyes staring at him "thank you" he said again.
Yan Lan took Kay's hands and made their way up the spiral staircase. It was nicely designed with glass panel at the side allowing for the sun light to shine through it.
"We can slide the rooftop open in summer if need be"
He lead Kay into the master bed room, large and spacious that had an opening out to a spacious balcony. They've kept it lock given the weather condition. The built in wardrobe was an extended room that could house ample clothes, shoes and accessories.
"Wow ... this room is big..." Kay walk in with his eyes big looking at the setup.
"It has to be ....for us to be comfortable. There's also a studio for your art, music and my dance."
He said as he walked closer to Kay "so..what do you about think? If the weather is fine, we can sit out at the balcony to watch the stars and sea in front, just like how you love them" He whispered that gently looking at Kay "I wanted you to be happy from the start and it makes me helpless when I can't protect what we have built. It makes me helpless when I can't do anything to protect you. I know you have been hearing so much rumours lately but I want you to know I have never changed and never will."
"Ge....did you hear what I said? Yan Lan wave at Kay
"Kay was staring out at the glass window, his thoughts was floating through many things and his eyes were filled with hurt. He was quiet" This walk is really difficult at times but he was glad the foundation they have built in this relationship way surpasses any ambiguity and potential threats that may come in between.
Yan Lan had been feeling insecure lately whenever Kay dazes off or he fails to get his attention. "What's wrong??"
"I've been missing you a lot" Kay said
"Okay that's nice to hear, relieved of it, and?"
"sometimes it gets hard" Kay continue with his trail of thoughts. Yan Lan not wanting to let that thought fester more in Kay pulled him in.
"Then we make it work...if we want to" Yan Lan looking intensively seeking an answer
"I want to.." Kay whisper
"That's all I need, no that's all we need Ge."
He took Kay lips in titling Kay's head backwards slightly. Hearing those words he just wanted to take him in now, just be his today, here at this place he built for them.
The built up misses were passionately consumed in this kiss, the yearning for each other's love knew no boundary as Yan Lan moved Kay towards the bed, pushing him gently down and marking his exposed neck all the way. Satisfied to every moan that came through from Kay, Yan Lan kiss and lightly suck along his lips down to the trunk of his neck, driving Kay hungry for more as he shifted his position with Kay's leg between his and both their front seemingly reacting to this.
The familiar moans satisfied Yan Lan's insecurity and filled his need to know Kay's inner needs. "I want you Ge, I miss you a lot he said burying his face into his neck.
