That night back in the forest after the meeting with the elders both red and blue spent the much loving time together just catching up. "Ti" the usual way how red would call blue although in this realm their souls gave light almost one after another barely a gap unlike how it's translated to years down on earth.
"I want to show you something" Red said. Red had been wanting to show Blue this place that he had build through the help of this gift that was bestowed to him.
"I miss this place Ge, I miss the times here...."he held back what he wanted to say. This ordeal had made him questioned the rationale behind such mission they had to undergo.
The walk back to their place by the tree, it felt peaceful. For the first time in many many years the glowing aura of the 2 can be seen emitting just joyful trails of glow along the path they the walk. And along the stream where the night falls and where the night flowers glowed they were accompanied by little night creatures that came hopping out happily.
A pair of hare appeared next to them trailing them so were there a pair of magical unicorns as well ...
Blue smiled looking at the surrounding "They are following us Ge...happily." Blue said proudly as though he had managed to declare to all those here how happy they were back together.
Blue was teasing the unicorns as he turn to the side looking at them staring back sending this stare 'do not disturb us' followed by a proud smile '...yes yes were are back together so don't disturb us, run along' and as he turn back to quickly catch up the pace with red just walking closely almost skipping happily next to him
As they reach the tree, Red turned and look at Blue "don't be surprised" and as he smiled shyly he walk forward through an invisible opening by the tree. As they enter through this opening - Red's creation mesmerised Blue immediately. First, the sound of waves, the moon and stars above and the peaceful breeze that came. The glow from their aura filled the space.
"Ge this is beautiful." Blue said admiring the creation
"Mmmn... I spent my days here waiting until you are back."
"Wow... and how did you create this?"
He showed Blue the glowing star that he had kept retrieving it from his heart.
"This ..." he showed him. "It somehow brings out the colours and...and ... feelings. I discover new éléments every now and then" Red said as he extended it out for Blue to take a look.
"May I? Blue asked as he open his hands to take it from Red. The glowing star felt warm.... almost, a sense of emotion swept through him. He closes his eyes to feel it further. It was...at first a feeling of sad and the colour of the sky turn purplish... and he then felt relieved, comforted and the scenery in front came through as a beautiful sunset ....
Red was captivated beyond awe ...."wow these colours it's ... just breathtaking blue, that's probably what you are feeling" Red still amaze by this view as he embrace and took in the view in front of them fully.
"I... I wanted to show you what I feel ...and I wanted to show those feelings through these elements " short of saying what he felt about them. Red was still entrenched, mesmerised by the beautiful sunset and as Blue held on to the glowing star further, the light became brighter and Red then cast out what was behind the glow onto the sky. A bright star appear above them that stood out against the rest. And as that happen they watch from the side of a moon two shooting star came raining through as they both stared at it.
"This gift creates wonder and it also grant wishes if a shooting star appears, sometimes not always..it's for you to explore, it comes when it recognises the need to"
Red recalled these words from the elders
"Quick Ti we need to make a wish!" Red exclaimed as he watched the shooting star coming through
"A wish ??" Blue asked
"Yes, anything that you wish for"
"I wish we will be peaceful here and that we will be protected always. And that our next mission if ever we are sent down again, you will forever be safe!" Red blurted our.
Blue went on to close his eyes and said his wishes which were kept silent deep in his heart.
"What did you wish for ? Since you heard mine?" Red asked
Blue smile ..."tell you some other time"
He said as he handed back the glowing star back to Red. "Ti, you know I spent so many days and nights here I literally build a place here sitting alone just watching the waves and night sky." With that he feel the glowing star and spread out the element onto the sandy beach. A little house appear...a little cosy place by the beach.
"Let's go!" He said.
They spend the night by the verandah just enjoying the view. The night filled with so much joy ..and love.
"Ti...everynight I have, this feeling that is tugged deep into my heart, every day I kept wondering how are you when you were still down completing your mission. There is no way to communicate at all. I find looking at the stars and moon quiet down my feelings and thoughts. The elders told me this is what they called in their definition 'misses'. It's like when you want to see someone badly but you can't physically be there to see them, then you miss them"
Blue look deep into the night sky hearing that, it reminded him as he confesses "I look for you through the stars and moon when you left Ge...I was..I can't remember how it feels now back then but yes 'misses'. And there was another feeling that I can't recall ... it was....
At that he clutched to his heart and let out a painful groan "aarrrgggh", he was suddenly brought to tears tears, his heart tearing apart and he was holding his head along with the other hand on his heart.
Red panicked at the sight, he leap forward deeply concerned, he saw the danger coming through ... Blue has still negative remains from his mission it seems. Red rushed him back to the stream and placed him there letting him meditate further, submerged in the water. It was a heart breaking scene if Red could explained it out, how he felt. Nevertheless, Red stayed composed. He had trained himself to contained his feelings from the pasts, internalising it finding calmness so it does not manifest further.
Blue is finding it hard, at that spur of the second, he could feel the intensity of the grief and sorrow when Red parted with him in the condition he felt helpless, not being able to protect him succumbing to his injury - when the memories rushed back suddenly.
He recalled, while he felt the best way was to let him go, he didn't want too at all until finally he had no choice. He could feel the pain and suffering Red was going through. The moment he felt the motionless hand fell from his grip, the hurt in his heart for the first time, felt it as though it was cut and stabbed repeatedly. While he wanted to clutched on to Red's body and cry, he knew they were all watching - and the best way to let Red know he is fine and not to worry was show that he is coping well outwardly. That was what he did.
A passing guardian angel came by. Seeing the situation and blue's condition, the angel suggested...."do we need to bring him to the cave to recover?"
"No! Leave him here I'll watch over him, I'll take care of him." Red intercepted any further suggestion and thoughts from the guardian angel

Kay woke up abruptly from his sleep again. He looked at his phone 4am. Second time this week. He tried to get back to sleep tossing around but soon the morning sun it's made way through the window shade, dragging him out of bed as he had to rush back to the studio. There were several items on his itinerary today which he had to get through. Several photo shoots lined up and some recording that he had to attend to. At the same time, some design that he had to deliver.
On the way to work he was going through the communication brief from the agency when his phone buzz.
< Missing you again, sent something to you, should be at the desk already> Yan Lan
Kay smiles as he read the message flashing out and made a video call back.
"Thank you" he called out as soon as the other side's video call flicker through to show the familiar handsome face.
"I miss you....." Yan Lan confessed again showing the pillow which is hugging that had Kay's face.
"Got back yesterday after you left. But happy to have all these pillows surrounding me... need it to compensate you not being here" He out rightly declare.
His stare and remarks caught Kay stunned and shy again. And Yan Lan flashed his usual proud smile, satisfied at how he managed to get Kay to react.
"Kay..."he called trying to get Kay to look at him over the video call.
"Mmmn?" Zhan looked up.
"I'm tied up till Friday, still want to set that date to bring you to the new place, Kay. Really want to show you" Yan Lan reminded him their last conversation they had.
"Mnnn, okay" Kay answered
After the call when he reached his studio, as usual a morning breakfast delivery was on his table. Unpacking it, he smiled, feeling happy ....something he had missed for a while. He has such great memories of every single detail of what Kay likes and what he doesn't. His usual take coffee delivered to him, the regular brand and pastries that they often like to eat back in the past.
Sitting there on his desk sipping the morning coffee delivered with full of love, he can't stop thinking about last week's coincidence. His every effort to put the past away each time seems to yield opposite outcome, the more he pushes it away, the deeper he sinks into it. The intense feelings he felt again and the moment their eyes met on that same slope seems to overcome all the hurt hurled at them through the rumours in the industry they had encounter lately.
And as he reviewed the manuscript on the table - something he had been working, he added a little line at the preface page "Specially for you Yan Lan, thank you for your perseverance"
