TOXO'S POV
"I was here,
I am here,
hell yeah.
I was here
I am here,
hell yeah.
I was here,
I am-."
"TOXO" I could hear Clementine yell directly next to my ear. HA, guess I was saying that out loud. Okay um OH MY GOD I'm here, I already said that but I am. I've never been anywhere foreign, even the outside of that old rusty castle was foreign to me. I sat up quickly from the bed I spawned on. I looked around as I started standing up. I almost squealed out of excitement as my feet touched the cold hardwood floors. I looked around the room, seeing Clementine leave with the door open. The room was kind of small, with a bed, nightstand, tiny bookshelf, a dresser with a large mirror on it, and a desk. Two tall windows were placed on the same wall, on the opposite side of the room. I sprung completely out of the bed and rushed to the windows. My face lit up with a huge smile as I looked out of it. I saw the very early morning sky, it darkened the city infront of me since it was about 4 am here. I looked down from the second story window and I could see an empty street lined with dozens of houses. Rows and rows of streets identical to this one would be placed as far as I could see. I gazed into the distance and I could see downtown, the shopping center, the school, and Lake Biwa that was reflecting the faded moonlight. Yeah the moon was cool- WAIT THAT'S THE MOON. Hell doesn't have a sun or a moon since it's just a red abyss for eternity with no night and day. This was my first time seeing the moon, and it's definitely unexaggerated. IT'S BEAUTIFUL. The way it looked like it could blind you just from a stare because of it's clear brightness was mesmerizing, and- ow, okay it does hurt. Clementine and I learned about how we shouldn't look directly at the sun and moon since we should go blind from not being used to the brightness, also that our skin doesn't react well to water unless it's basically boiling, so no swimming, cold showers, or standing in the rain. After getting lost in witnessing Earth's beauty for what felt like hours, I turned to walk out of my room and see where Clemetine went and to tour my new home for the next few months. My bedroom door leads out into a large room with a couch, huge tv, multiple large windows, a staircase descending downwards, and three other doors, not counting my own. The furthest door from my room was wide open, with loud sounds of zippers being opened radiating from it. I rushed over to it and poked my head in. Clementine had about 8 suitcases on her bed as she was unzipping them all and then moving them, separating them into two piles. Before I said anything to her I looked around at her room. It was much larger than mine but kind of had the same concept. I looked over at Clementine, who still didn't seem nearly as excited as me, but I would change that! I walked up next to her and immediately as I tried to talk she pushed 3 suitcases off her bed, directly onto my foot.
"OW, HEY PLEASE WATCH WHERE YOU DROP THOSE THINGS, THAT REALLY HURT." I said in a very loud pain filled voice.
"Jesus fucking christ, you're sixteen get over it, and that was the point." Clementine exclaimed in a very pissed off manner as she didn't take her eyes off unzipping her suitcases, "I already gave you your clothes now get the hell out of my room."
I took her statement seriously as fast as I could. I lifted my suitcases off of my what felt like broken feet and I got the fuck out of there. As I was limping out I thought, "why is she so damn?" Clementine has actually medical anger issues so maybe she forgot to bring her pills? Does she even have pills for it? The moment I slowly walked out of her room I could feel a big rush of air behind me followed by the sound of the door slamming inches away from me. I dragged the extremely heavy suitcases to my nearby new room and slumped it onto my floor. As my knees met the cold hardwood floor I could feel the excitement that I recently obtained just drain from the way Clementine was acting. I really hoped that she would open up to the idea of being on Earth and a whole new adventure. Like I've mentioned before, she's a BIT stubborn.
After putting most of my clothes into my dresser, I opened the short closet foldable doors in my room. I opened my mouth extremely wide as I let out a loud yawn which soon turned into a gasp at what I saw already hanging in my closet. A school uniform with a white dress shirt, red tie, and a black suit top with red sewed along the edges. Placed under it was a pair of black slacks to go along with the uniform. I mean I would have LOVED to wear my own clothes to school but I wasn't going to complain about this uniform, it looked so cool.
I looked over to my alarm clock to see how long we had until school started, our first day of school. It worked out well though because it was the first day of school for everyone else as well, meaning Clementine and I wouldn't be the "new" kids. Even though that could easily get us some friends! The alarm clock read in red straight angled numbers "06:47". School officially started in two hours BUT we were told that they would have kind of a greeting and orientation with different clubs when the gates opened up at 7:30. And I mean c'mon, we should go, we have to go. The hard part will be convincing Clementine to attend, but she should be back to her friendly and happy self in no time!
~~~~TIME SKIP~~~~
About 30 minutes passed and I now found myself in front of Clementine's door. An odd feeling of deja vu hit me from back home when I used to knock on her door before every class we had, to wake her up. But that door was 20 feet tall, heavy as fuck, and made of steel. This door was 7 feet tall, super light, and made of wood. I reached my small hand forward and I knocked on Clementine's door, possibly creating a monster. Whoever knew that a 4'10 insanely skinny sixteen year old girl could be so terrifying. The small creaking sound of the door echoed through the small loft room as Clementine opened the door, responding to my knock. She was dressed in her own school uniform which was SO cute. It was basically like what I was wearing but instead of black slacks she had on a black shirt and white stockings. She was currently brushing her thick black hair.
"What the fuck do you want?" Clementine asked as she shot me with what might have been the nastiest glare I have ever received from her.
"Oh well um…" My own voice shook from being intimidated by my own sister, who was even 10 minutes younger than me not to brag. "I'm going to the orientation greeting at the school, and I was hoping you would join me so we can meet friends and sign up for clubs. We should leave soon so-" I was interrupted by Clementine as she spoke sharply.
"I'm not going, I'll see you in class. I don't want to be friends with humans and I really don't want to be in a stupid and worthless club with them." She started to turn around but then quickly turned around and grabbed me by my chin, pulling my head down to her height, "Are you fucking kidding me? You were going to go out without wearing your contacts!? You're such an idiot! Red eyes aren't normal here." As she was yelling at me I noticed her eyes weren't her normal red color and she was wearing grey contacts. Fuck, she was right, I almost walked outside for everyone to see my bright red eyes. Clementine let go of my face, turned around, grabbed something off of her dresser, and walked back to me. She grabbed my chin again roughly and made me look straight into her face. She raised up her hand to my right eye and straight on poked her fingers into my eye. Of course I started blinking like crazy but then she squeezed on my chin harder, pinching it, basically telling me to stop squirming. She did the same to the other eye and let go of my chin as I went back to my normal stance. My eyes still stung from her basically gouging her fingers into my eyeballs. But, it worked.
"I fixed your mistake, now leave and go make more mistakes." She said as she then shot me with a sarcastic smile and slammed her door directly in my face. I let out a tiny sigh, I kind of wanted her to come but oh well.
I grabbed my already packed backpack and headed downstairs and out of the door. I left the front door open because what if someone wanted to come in and become friends with Clementine, she needs some. The cold April morning air hit my body as I stepped out onto the sidewalk. I could see the tall school buildings in the distance to my right so I started to stroll my way in that direction. I passed by weird looking pink and white trees, other kids my age that I was going to approach but they looked busy, and I passed by random cats on the street. And yes, I did pet every single one of them. A few bit my hand and it hurt but that's just their painful, torturous, and adorable way of showing love.
The walk didn't take long at all as I walked up to the front huge gates of the school. What seemed like thousands of kids gathered inside of them, sitting in the grass or in the little pavement area that had a statue in the middle of it. The weird feeling of anxiety hit me as I realized everyone already had a friend here, and I had no one. I was just the lonely grade-11 guy that wasn't supposed to be new since it's a new school year but I was. I didn't plan for this, I planned to make new friends right away.
