Silena decided to ignore that feeling and focused on dancing with the prince, Allen Poliveron. They keep dancing until the music stopped and then the musician played the next song. Silena walked to the balcony to get some fresh air and she sat there, bewitched by the moon that shines so bright that night. All of sudden a dove, flew right in front of her and land on the balcony. Silena approached the dove and pat its head.
"Oh hello there, good evening."
The dove just looked at Silena and then flew away. Silena watched the dove started to disappear from her sight then she took a deep sigh. Once again suddenly she felt like someone's watching her and she could feel that the person's getting closer to her. Before she able to turned around to see who is the person, a pair of hand covered her eyes and a soft familiar male voice could be heard whispering right in front of her ears.
"Well well well, what are you doing here, princess?"
"Allen."
"How did you know?"
"Of course I know it from your scent, Allen."
She pushed his hands away from her eyes and she turned around to see Allen, smiling cheerfully to her.
"What are you doing here? Your father might look for you."
"No, he won't, but your father will, princess."
"How did you find me?"
"I saw you and I decided to follow you but I didn't want to bother you so I just watch you from the window. I'm fascinated by your beauty."
Right before Silena could say anything, the door opened and her sister walked towards her and the prince. She bowed to Allen before whispering something at Silena's ear. Silena nodded,
"I'm sorry but I need to go back inside."
Silena ran back into the ballroom and there's the queen, who have been waiting for her since 10 minutes ago. She looked worried. Silena walked closer to her mother and sat beside her,
"Yes, mother?"
"Oh, my dear. Where have you been?"
"The balcony, mother. Is there any concern or matter that makes you want to see me?"
"Nothing. It's just, I think I saw your childhood friend, what was his name?"
"You mean the son of Duke Willhelm, Sebastian?"
"Yes, exactly. I saw him with a lady but I have never seen her anywhere before so perhaps it's his girlfriend."
"Tell me more, mother."
"Very well, I saw him staring at you when you were dancing with the prince then suddenly without saying anything he left with the girl that was with him before."
Silena nodded and walked to the guards that're standing at the door of the ballroom and asked them if they saw a male figure and a female that left the ballroom in the middle of the party. The guards gave her a nod, meaning that they were in the party before. Silena asked the guards to leave the ballroom but the guards didn't let her. They said that it's the order of the king. All of sudden, Allen grabbed his hand and took her back to the dance floor.
"Allen?"
"Come here. It's time for us to dance again."
"What?"
Silena didn't realize that the music has changed and now it time for her to dance again. Allen wrapped his arms around her waist and started to dance beautifully. Allen pulled his body closer to Silena's and whispered,
"My lady?"
"Yes?"
"They are looking at you."
"Who?"
"Everyone."
"No, they're not."
"They are spellbound with your beauty, my lady or should I call you my future wife?"
Silena's face turned red from hearing his words, she slowly looked away to hid her flushed cheek. Allen let out a soft chuckle as they dance on the dance floor. Suddenly, the prince cupped her cheek and gave her a soft and gentle kiss right on her lips, in front of everyone. Silena startled with the sudden kiss and she could hear everyone clapping their hands when they kissed. She heard her sisters voice,
"Way to go, sister!"
Allen slowly pulled his face away and chuckled softly,
"Why you do that?"
"It's normal right? To kiss the bride-to-be in front of everyone? Besides everyone already know that we're engaged."
"We just met today, this evening and you already kissed me. That's my first kiss."
"Do you want to know something? That's also my first kiss."
The music stopped playing and everyone stopped dancing. The king stood up from his throne and announced that the last music will be the last dance and after that the party is over. Silena left Allen and ran to the bathroom. She locked the door and looked at the mirror. With her right hand she wiped her lips and tried to calm herself down. Everyone told her that first kiss is really memorable and it's better to get your first kiss from the person that you truly loved but Silena's first kiss was taken by the prince that she just met today. Anyway she decided not to get married to the prince and she want to marry to someone that she really loved, not the one that's arranged by her parents.
Silena stepped out of the bathroom and right in front of her, stands a tall male figure that's familiar. It's her childhood friend, Sebastian. He stood still while holding a box of present and gave it to her. A bright smile painted her beautiful countenance and she gave him a warm hug.
"Sebastian! It's been a very long time, how are you and where have you been? I haven't seen you for years."
"Lena, I'm so sorry for my sudden disappearance in the past. I will tell you somewhere else, not in here. So, would you like to walk with me to the garden?"
"Sure. Anyway, my mother said that you came here with a woman, who is she?"
"My sister, step sister actually."
"Where is she?" Silena looked around trying to find the female figure that came with Sebastian that night.
"She's outside. Very well, shall we go?"
"Yes."
The two walked to the ballroom door and Silena asked the guards to open the door for them but they looked hesitate to do it so she told them that Silena has the permission from the queen and once they heard it, they immediately let her go. She wrapped her arms around Sebastian arm and walk together to the garden.
"Oh, silly me. Happy birthday to you, Silena."
"Thank you very much for the birthday greetings and for the present. Do you mind if I open the present here?"
"Maybe you want to open it once we reach the garden."
After walking for a while, they reached the garden and Silena sat at the bench with her childhood friend. She unwrapped the present that she got and took out a beautiful silver necklace with a moon pendant. Sebastian took the necklace and helped her to wear it on her neck.
"It's so beautiful. Thank you."
"I knew that it would suit you, princess."
"Thank you very much and now, please tell me where did you go?"
"I will but please don't be surprised when you hear everything."
