We made it home finally, that car ride was killing me. I just wanted to know everything now. I had to know. Her making me wait like this felt so cruel.
We made it into the house and went straight into the kitchen.
"Hungry?" My mom asked.
"No not really mom" I said annoyed.
"Okay okay, I'll just make some coffee and we can sit down out back on the deck and talk"
"Okay" I said as I put my head down.
While my mom started making coffee I walked into the hallway to go in my room, but I ended up at David's bedroom doorway.
Everything was the same as he left it, his clothes on the floor instead of the clothes hamper he had literally right beside them. His bed all messed up from where he never made it the morning when he got attacked. I caught the tears that started to fall and wiped them off. I went into my room and changed into a new pair of clothes and walked to the kitchen.
When I made it in there my mom already had our cups made and was ready to go sit outside and continue our conversation from the hospital.
My mom took a few sips out of her coffee and she began to tell me,
"So first I guess I should tell you on my side of the family is royal blood. My father was the Alpha of the midnight pack and well your fathers parents were of course witch/warlock".
She sipped more of her coffee real quick, and started to continue again,
"There was also another royal pack called the dark moon. My father and the alpha of the dark moon always fought to replace the other. They felt they were too dominant to share the land here in Gravendale. They felt there had to be one SOLE leader of the whole. Vampires were also living here, which them nasty blood suckers are everywhere, we all never got along but they wouldn't leave. Anyway, witches and warlocks lived among us here. We swore to keep each other safe, and they also help keep the vampires in check. Every wolf had a witch/warlock guardian. All the supernaturals here have a private school they go to except for the vampires".
My mom got quiet for a minute.
"Mom what's wrong?"
"I'm sorry hun the next part I'm about to tell you just brings up old memories".
She took a deep breath and finally got her mind together and started again,
"Witches/warlocks and werewolves are FORBIDDEN to be together."
"Wait but you and dad? Is that why you got away?"
"Yes, but there's more to it."
I took a sip of my coffee listening for her to finish.
"I was supposed to marry another"
I spit my coffee everywhere.
"WHAT? To who mom? That man we saw at the hospital?"
"Andrew!?, oh no... we will talk about him another time—-"
Before she could finish I asked,
"Is he a warlock or wolf?"
She seemed annoyed at my question but she answered it "wolf".
I didn't ask anymore about him she seemed mad at him I wish I knew why it couldn't be just because he almost said something.
