"Now, where should I start?" The Heavenly Emperor asked himself, now levitating right above the ground, he surveyed the war grounds, the heights of the maze being sucked into the gravity sphere attracting everything toward the center.
While that was going on, however, he could have fun slaughtering some others- analyzing further, white eyes darting rapidly so he could search for rightful targets for his obliteration. Unfortunately, they all seemed to be busy, or rather, too infantile to be dealt with by such a Holy Being such as he. After all, he was the foretold Sixth Holy King of Obliteration, but as he surveyed the area, examining everyone, their placements on the battlefield, he concluded,
~Jason and Madisyn seem to be fighting Satan... I probably shouldn't interrupt them, they like their fights to be their own. Brother seems to be battling Augustus and Azazel. While I'd love to kill the Reaper, I'm bounded by Allfather's plans for 'im. Those children over there mixed with Karlo nearby, I can sense Rahab's presence over them, she seems to have reserved them for herself. Genesis and Emma, I feel like if I kill those two, he'd likely go into shock and kill himself, thereby killing me. Wait!~
Those thoughts all rapidly rushing through his head, he gasped at the nearby presence that had just emerged, turning his skull upright so his whitened pupils could lock a body reentering orbit. The energy stream left behind as they flew downward was unique in the sense that the pattern was filled with stars, not to mention the entirety of their humanoid form enveloped by stars, nebulas, galaxies, the like, the Heavenly Superior Emperor couldn't help but unleash a tiny chuckle,
"Heh...!"
Instantly transmitting his consciousness then extending his figure across the world, Acheron's Castle with its roof demolished, rubble scattered on the ground; the Sixth Holy King's hands hidden in his pockets, he walked naturally. What laid at the end, comatose brain-dead body smashed against the wall behind her, the Superior Emperor dared to even brush the tip of his nail against her skin.
Just barely, in the split-second infinitesimally before his nail reached her forehead, he widened his eyes, he was fast, but could he be fast enough for this? Despite his Heavenly power, he still had the human brain of Ben Rivera; those brains could achieve the remarkable feat of processing an image for just about 13 milliseconds. But what about sound itself? Studies show that light is indeed slower than light, despite the enhanced speed of them both- you can easily close your eyes to ensure you don't see an ocular-like subconscious attack. Ears, on the other hand, the Superior Emperor was open to it, there were literal nanoseconds before it could smash against his brain, so, with all this being considered, the insurmountable feats logged into human history, it could be misconstrued as dumb luck. That, before Pulsar To A Thousand Worlds could unleash a signal to his ears and brain, he warped out of space and then reappeared several feet away from Moriah's destroyed corpse,
"Not gonna die today... nice try, though, 'Dad,'" Mockingly stated the Superior Emperor with a sinister smirk over his lips, he stood up from the way he stood formerly thanks to his backward leap.
Rubbing at his chin with one of his claws, he thought of what to do. If Uraku had the power to render the weakest Incarnation to a braindead fool that resembled nothing of her previous glory, then he would be a worthy opponent, right? Then again, while that was true, there was also the possibility that if Uraku had the power to kill the weakest, and he was the father of this vessel, then he would also have the power capable of that being able to wipe out him. Not to mention maybe Rahab or Lucifer,
~I'd love to take a risk. Fighting Uraku, maybe crippling him, letting Rivera watch as I rid him of his final living remnant of a parent, sounds amazingly fun. Unfortunately, he's the Son of God, so I doubt it'd be an easy feat...~
BOOM! Another sonic boom blasted out into the air, Heavenly Superior opening one eye curiously at this, he warped onto the roof of Acheron's Castle, casually sitting with one leg resting off the edge. Long-haired strands fit with snowy highlights at the end moving in flow with the summer winds, he quirked a brow upward, Uraku soaring overhead without a care in the world to the Sixth Holy King he'd just passed. His trajectory changed to the sky, and that was when he'd seen it, the Temple afloat in the air, Blessed Emperor jumping at this, he breathed out in disbelief, giggling as if he were a little child. There were two presences up there disregarding Uraku, weaker than the Celestial's, more powerful than a human's,
~Two superhumans. Both likely are related to Alexander Amara... heh..~
"Bingo..."
Demons swiftly darted from wall to hall inside the Temple, claws digging into the barriers, their wings submerged into their broken, cracked skin... before a tide of water slid from the start of the hallway. Overcoming the monsters so they could submerge beneath the liquid, Arabella at the end of the tunnel, one hand onto the ground, she didn't even break a sweat, she just stared ahead with determination in her eyes. But it wasn't just a submersion, it was mixed with electricity, sparking abruptly, those electrical bolts seeped into their higher skinned layers to burst into their hearts for them to fry, following their brains. The water vanished, Nova's hands to her pockets, casually strutting past the hallway's center, Hazel revealed herself from the invisibility that cloaked her body- the female duo walking beside one another to their eventual goal.
For a while, there wasn't anything to fight, so, while walking, they decided to have the casual idea of having a conversation amongst one another. Hazel walked with her arms by the sides of her body, seemingly strongly, just staring ahead, in contrast to Bella's laid-back posture... Nova couldn't help but be interested. In the past, she was but a bystander to everything, she remembered Lynn smashing Al's face into that table, but there was another person there, during the Academy days. The way she sheepishly carried herself, so reserved, opposite to this her now, how did she get to that point, she wondered,
"You mind if I ask you something, Haze?" Asked Bella of her friend gently to her friend accompanying the blue-haired woman, who gave her a nod,
"I remember seein' you back during the Academy days in 2052. Usually, people change a lot in the transition from teenagehood to adulthood, but... for someone like you, it was a rather drastic one, wasn't it? How did you gain the confidence to walk like this with me, fight in something that spells out your death. So, tell me how you got the confidence to change?" Quizzically inquired Bel to the blonde to her left, then just as she did, Hazel stopped in her tracks, reminiscing about her horrible past, how she built herself up to this point,
"I was isolated from the world because of my father. One day, my mom finally had the gall to call the cops, and I had gotten a letter to the Academy. But, nothing changed. I didn't feel free in the slightest because I was cursed with the power for no one to see me. In every single aspect of the world, I was invisible. Nobody cared for me. Then, I met someone, someone so wonderful that I felt like it wasn't even real. Alex was the first person in this world to wholeheartedly help me and accept me. I say that like it's so rare, but I know that it's just I was put into unfortunate circumstances... rather, it wasn't that he was nice to me, it was that he didn't ask for anything in return. The only thing he asked is, no matter what, to stay by his side for eternity. But it wasn't just him. Rose, Eddie, Sunni, Whitney, all of them, my friends, helped me realize that I was just being stupid. I mattered in this world, and no matter what, I'm indebted to them forever, because without a shadow of a doubt, they're who I consider my true family,"
These words were simple, it was a common growth, to be introduced to people who love you for who you are and not who they think you are, people who unconditionally support who you are. Bella couldn't help but smile, those men who helped her that day, Whitney who challenged her childish ways, Ed who inspired her...
"You... don't have to be afraid anymore,"
It was such a beautiful thing, she knew that her death was right in front of her, but she lived a good life, for the time being, she was given a new family, the same as Hazel, who treated her right; the way she deserved, ever since she was born. Nobody knows what a proper death entails, maybe it's to be surrounded by those who love you, family, friends, and knowing you lived a good life, or maybe it's to have nobody but just live with the fact you've saved people. It was that way for Hana, unbeknownst to her. A proper death... to her, as she lived, would she know what it was?
Hazel probably didn't think of that stuff, maybe, as long as she lived a good life, she had no regrets and she was fine with dying anyway she could. That was just an assumption she thought of, though, there was nothing to confirm this, but the both of them kept moving forward, though their minds wandered, and all Nova could have as the response was something simple to the lengthy response toward her,
"That's a good reason,"
At the end of the corridor, a shadow with long hair seemed to be peeling around the corner cast by the embedded light against the ceiling, to which Hazel and Arabella shared a look at the same time spotting it. Nodding their heads, the blonde of the female duo turned to nothingness, flipping on the switch of her invisibility. Without any way to find her, Nova steadied her breaths, not even a single glimpse of sweat over her face; her blood formed together weapons in her different hands. A hammer in her left, a dagger in her right, she didn't waste any time jumping right around the corner, water pushing her feet from the ground, she readied to smash the head of her opponent right then and there.
PNNN! She couldn't even stare in their eyes, the black cloak of energy enveloping his outside figure, his orbs engulfed by a white glow throughout the peepers. While all of these features were extremely noticeable at first glance, this wasn't what Bella was shocked by. Instead, it was his barely visible features beneath that coat of darkness hiding the coloration of his skin. Nevertheless, that smirk was something she could never mistake, something she'd seen when she first attended the Academy those years ago. Inside that office, hair cut, blue eyes and all, the Headmaster seated behind that desk, she could only let out one word,
"Ben-?"
But the second her lips parted, her body already hit the floor, and Adams revealed herself from the camouflage she drenched her body in, eyes shaking with fear. Feet brushing against the bloodied floor, he flicked his claws together to reveal his tanned skin, white eyes and all, flowing hair moving majestically, he let his chin rest against his palm's back,
"You all seem to ignore my rights as a person, or rather, what counts as a person in your lofty society. Opposite to what you might think, I have a beautiful name. Call me Naraku, why don't you?" Politely asked Naraku, but though she was paralyzed in fear of his very presence, she couldn't help but smile as the tears built up in her eyes' corner,
"Any last words..?"
Her mind raced, the whole of her life flashing before her emerald orbs, remembering up this point, the blonde couldn't bring herself to sob further as if she were a wailing helpless babe. Bella in cube-shaped pieces dripping out that gore from her sliced-apart parts on the ground in front of her, she didn't have the luxury of having final thoughts. In the face of the Ultimate Evil, where she was granted such a thing as last words, these were hers and hers alone. But out of everything she could think of in this world about her and her alone, something she could leave for Alex, Rose, any one of the people who'd helped her in her journey, there was only one thing...
"Yes. Tell everyone, Alex, Rose, Eddie, Whit, Lynn, anyone who's left, from the bottom of our hearts, me and Bellie:
It wasn't... so bad!"
The next thing she saw was the light from the Heavens, to which her mind flashed back, in the picosecond before she could be cut to bits, a memory erected in the back of her head so she could remember- when things were normal, albeit for a short time.
No matter their relations, the problems, issues, it didn't matter, for the good was all she thought about, and as she bellowed that out to Naraku happily, the smile painted onto her lips even stood- as she fell over. Splatting out blood so it could splash out from beneath the skinned layer protecting her, the Superior Emperor hatefully gazed down upon the blonde's destroyed body. He didn't say anything, instead, he crouched down, fist against his cheek, and just stared at the bloody mess he made. Completely and utter silence, not even his breathing was loud enough to make audio fill the halls, usually, he'd have another sadistic idea in his mind, maybe head back to the Advent's battlefield so he could watch the progress of the sphere's attractive force. But there was nothing. Naraku couldn't muster a single thought, instead, he gradually let his knuckles off his skin so he could stare at his open palms, pointing his fingers forward... Heh, he chuckled,
"So, you don't have any reaction for them, huh? Too boring-" Commented Naraku then standing up straight... Tap went afoot as it pressed against the concrete behind him, the sound of her foot pushing against the concrete,
"AH! So... you're the girl I've been hearing about, Celine Pierce's replacement. I know he likely won't care if I kill you, but you-?" Neck spinning so his eyes could face into her heterochromatic discolored eyes, one red and another blue, soul ablaze with her energy aura.
Kristie's fist both aimed forward, knuckles branding toward her demonic enemy, the Sixth Holy King licked at his claws, drenched in the ginger's friends' blood, he giddily smirked in anticipation,
"I'LL HAVE FUN TORTURING YOU IN FRONT OF THAT WHITE-HAIRED BRAT, LITTLE WHORE!!"
Tears nowhere to be seen in her eyes, she apathetically stared ahead, just with her knuckles targeted ahead, one aflame with red fire around the left, the right enveloped by an icy gauntlet. There was nothing she could've done to avoid this eventuality, she might've been too slow to save these girls, nevertheless, she was here. And without a shadow of a doubt, Kristina would slaughter this demon with all she got; or die trying.
