Chapter 101 - Requiem Preparation - Total Failure

SMASH! As the tip of his tendril entered the ground where she'd previously stood, tiles and pieces of debris flew into the air, but she was nowhere to be found. Feeling his extensions retract back further into his flesh, Alex with August glanced at one another before leaping into the air, smoke clearing to reveal the levitating feminine figure of Hana. Soaring with his hood flapping behind him as Alex moved with August, but before long, reaching closer and closer, Rivera vanished and Al was left going to the front. But through that layer of aerosol part of him was unable to see through, her eyes opened to send him gasping and his own eyes widening.

Swiping her arm so a gust of wind would hit him back to the ground, he yelled on his way down, ass sliding against the tiles of the lower platform. Rubbing his bum as he began to stand, he watched as the shoes of the Emperor came in front of him,

"She bluffed you. Stay down and wait for my signal," Advised Ben, just before he vanished into thin air, leaving Amara to scuff and mutter angrily to himself at his stupidity.

Hana already clutching her fingers against the knuckles of his son's first aiming at the back of her head, August gritted his teeth, Corrupted Bolt flowing through his flesh so it would reach to corrupt her soul and harm her. Just as the current reached her fingers around his fist, though, she couldn't help but let out a mischievous giggle.

Rising her right fist, it was apparent that Red, famously infused with negative and corruptive energy that moved chaotically inside and outside of the target… did not affect her. Instead, in the infinite split second that Corrupted Bolt had taken to make its claws ensnare its sparking claws around her soul, she had altered the elemental properties of the energized attack.

Pupils shrinking and shaking, breath hitching, the sight of her fist, inching ever so closer; August couldn't believe his very eyes. The right side of his face was met with the purified version of his very own Corrupted Bolt, Pure Sparks, courtesy of Hana and created in her mind in an infinitesimal moment in time. The strength thrown into the punch that connected with his cheek had sent him toward the ground, same as when she knocked Alex off of his feet just then, but she had other plans, or, in other words— she wouldn't let him get away scot-free so easily. Just as he was about to plummet his face to the platform below, he felt a certain pressure send him right back, flying past the top of her head, she grabbed at his ankle and twirled him around just enough so she could launch his body right at his father.

Emerging right at the wrong second from his Universe of stopped time, the Emperor twisted his body in mid-air so he could weave out of the way from her incoming attack. The Reaper groaning as he planted himself right beside Alex, sliding along the floor, a big fat lump on the side of his face, the Judge blinked, still holding his whip. Being able to just make out the words weakened by his dramatic mentor and teacher,

"Kill… me…"

Ignoring him, Alexander went about his own thing, closing his eyes and stabilizing his breathing, after being slapped away like something useless fly, he was ready to prove himself. Launching himself a further distance into the air with whitened lightning streaming out from his feet, he snapped his whip as he flew in mid-air. Meanwhile, while he made his way through the fading smoke, Ben and Hana were battling with their enhanced Requiem/battle prowess.

Seeing as how he couldn't stabilize himself with telekinesis while flying through the air with his speed technique, he needed a better plan. That was when he noticed the open space above her head, smirking, he threw his feet back to add more wind pressure to his temporary flight. At the same time, Hana had been dodging and blocking with her ways coming from Ben. One of those attacks being his signature laser beams flying out from the center of his eyes, which she was forced to duck under as the piercing superheated rays of condensed plasma sliced through the smoke cloud.

Charging up her knuckles with just enough of her powerful Requiem energy, she aimed for an uppercut right to his chin. However, just as she was about to land the hit, her wrist leading down further to her elbow was entangled by the leanness of the Judge whip surfing with energy. The Emperor smirked along with the Master of the Mountain, the former of which snapping her arm right out of place so it'd go and fall limp, grabbing at her throat and launching her up to where Alex hovered over her head, stabilized against the air.

Untangling the whip from around her limb, Amara watched as she soared past him entering further above the skies in the heavens above. Yelping in surprise, he felt her against the collar of his hoodie, pulling him with her, Ben was witness to the way he disappeared being yanked above the clouds. Rubbing at the back of his head, he cracked some of his fingers, then recognizing the familiarity belonging to that of his son's flow of Requiem energy, he watched as August flew from below him making another hole in the clouds.

Shrugging his shoulders then rolling them back, he cracked his neck, yawning followed by the stretching of his arms into the air feeling the joints and bones crack,

"Alright, this should be fun,"

FWOOSH!

But they weren't stopping there, the first mistake that Alex had made in this battle was the unraveling of his whip hold over the arm of his Warrior female opponent. As she rose above the atmosphere above the planet, closing the distance between that of Heaven and Earth, she threw Alex further into the void engulfed by the stars of the universe. Losing grip on the whip he held, spotting it drift off, he flailed around his hands trying to reach for it. Just before he could, she snatched it right out of his fingers' grip, examining the build, she turned it around, as if zooming in with her eyes,

~What a fascinating vessel. I assume your Requiem energy is on the same level as Ben's, but because it's incomplete, you use this to harness it so you have a more accurate way of attacking. Rather intriguing how far technology has come in just a few billion years~ Commented Hana telepathically to her younger pupil before then turning her head, she'd realized Amara had no longer been hovering beside her helplessly anymore.

Curling a brow upright, she turned her head above her, eyes witnessing as his fist came into contact with the crown of her skull. Opening her eyes, spreading wide her mouth, she spat out blood into space, but despite the pain she momentarily experienced at the impact touching at the peak of her cranium, she couldn't help but smirk…

~Good… good~!~ Sweetly praised the Master Warrior, helpless and attempting to recover herself, Amara was left flying downward after the flyby damage he'd dealt with her.

Also managing to grab the whip stolen from him, Alex smirked, letting out a careful steady breath from his nostrils, he turned with his front-facing her body. Unraveling the whip to snap around her leg, Hana didn't even have time to react before she was yanked in for the full close quarter's experience, grabbed at the throat the second she came in close enough, lips mere inches away from his own. Widening his eyes, he was momentarily stunned by her beauty, her eyes, her lips, and the enticing smile she put on. Someone like her truly was marvelous, too bad that it was just a ploy to get his guard down, kissing at his cheek just before she head-butted him, swiftly rendering him unconscious.

~What incredible potential~ As she examined the structure of his face and body, she poked at his muscles, humming to herself as she stroked her chin analyzing his build. Muscular, thin, healthy, but there was something more, she felt.

Something… missing, but she couldn't tell what. Maybe it was the way he was so fascinated by her looks, letting his guard down so easily, if she were anyone else, Lucifer, Moriah, or Rahab, he'd be dead. There would need to be further one on one testing to see what he was missing. Someone like this with the infinite potential of being the next Ben Rivera, having an idiot for a teacher like Augustus Rivera was a definite step down, someone as arrogant and annoying as him. She would have to leave the task to herself when it came to teaching him the basis of improving his skills.

~Hey, what are you groping my cousin for? He has a girl back at home, I'm sure she'd be pretty mad if I told her about this~ As August announced his presence with Ben by his side, cracking his knuckles, Hana couldn't help but roll her eyes.

~Speak of the Devil, hm? Come at me already, Augustus. Benny~~ Sweetly beckoned the Master, holding Alex in her arm, she smirked and opened one of her eyes just about half so the eyelid would reveal the color.

And just like that, they obeyed, but no longer would they hold back and just use basic techniques and the simplicity of Peace of Mind's strengthening capabilities. Clapping his hands together, August felt the surge of tranquility through his mind, left eye engulfed by the emerald tint of green to match the right, the Emperor ran right ahead to get started on the fight moving for an overhead kick to the crown of her skull.

Both of them had shared smirks at one another because of this observation, but it was clear that she had realized what he was doing, bowing her head just before the tip of his foot would meet its intended target. Just about to go for a counter, he moved quickly and sliced both of her hands off, just before she could do any harm to him. Hovering endlessly through the nothingness of this eternal void, blood leaking out the stumps where her hands previously stood.

Noticing he had to be wary of the way she'd knocked out Alex, he noticed her coming in for the same attack, eyes glistening, his spirit form, all blue and resembling him to a tee- stepped out from his physical form to hold her head right in place. A giggle croaking out from between her open lips, she forced her palm into the incorporeal chest of the spirit form he projected, watching as it disintegrated before her very eyes. Behind that astral forecast, where Ben was previously, he no longer stood, and that was the side of her face was slammed, some of her skin visibly coming off as it entered the air along with some of her blood entering the spatial void.

His fist digging into her bones beneath that layer of fleshy skin, Hana grunted as his knuckles threw her back further into the range of his father. Spinning around just enough so she could clap her fingers around the face of the Requiem Emperor, staring right into the dark azure coloration of his eyes, he grasped- the menacing whisper of her vocals resounding instantly throughout the intense halls of his mind,

"False Memories of Another Future," Just then, Ben was placed into a momentary catatonic state, eyes rolling to the back of his head and adrift in space.

Seconds later, he was out cold, August being the only one left, it was either him or her, and they still hadn't finished their battle from last time. Clenching his fists as he aimed them at her chest and face, Hana smirked at this display, keeping her hands behind her back. In the end, she decided not to use Al in the way he was hoping, releasing his grip over her body, she tapped his palm against his outfitted chest- teleporting them back to the Temple, his and Ben's bodies exploding into butterflies flying past the front of her face,

~Shall we continue where we last left off, Augustus?~ Inquired Hana quizzically, eyelids now shut over the pinkish tint that her pupils sparkled out.

~Don't address me like you're some sort of superior. It irritates me when old people think they're so high and mighty when they're just waiting for their time to die…~ August retorted back at her with his signature disrespectful tone, something his mother would probably have scolded him for if she were here.

~Then what are you waiting for? When do you think is my time to die anyway? Maybe it's… now!~ Charging right ahead, her voice expanding out, vocals getting louder in volume so his ears would start ringing.

Bearing it just enough, he extended his arms to both sides of his body, imitating that of the Shiranui-gata sumo wrestling pose. Dark Determination flaring in the center of his eyes, burning as bright as that blazing gas giant to the back of her head, he invoked the name of that technique he didn't get a chance to enact just a day earlier,

~Six Form Innate Absolution, Peace of Mind Activation!~

As the name of this move streamed through his head, August had been forced into a binding vow he'd sworn to himself, limiting his range of moves to six forms of the Requiem technique created solely by the Requiem Reaper of Death. Accumulated together in the mind space between dream and reality during his time at the Temple where he stood, a punishment for not hitting a target weakens Shattered Limit's plasma barrier. Zooming forward, he readied to get her in one punch, fully expecting to eradicate her right then and there,

~All-Existing Death, First Form. The Scythe of Frozen Hell!~

Just as he was about to land the attack, her fist had been where her face previously stood, with her lean body hovering right behind him. Fist raising, she charged it up with a giggle in her voice as she first spoke,

~Strongest, my ass~
