"Y-you're dying..?" The way she spoke, she held back many tears, it was a miracle she didn't break down and sob right then and there. Jason widened his eyes before hitting his forehead realizing that she could've heard them, but Ben knew this wasn't that, she didn't need the link in order to make out what was truly happening, he knew that much about his older sister.
Instead of frowning and dejectedly sighing because of her finding out, he looked down, this was definitely not the way he'd been hoping to inform her of this truth. But the Emperor had no other choice, so he gazed right ahead, her eyes sparkling against that signature brightness that oozed off of the Sun's rays… pink lips parting,
"Yes." Unlike her just now, he was capable of saying an answer like that strongly, to ensure his vocals didn't collapse in on themselves or rasp. Though it stung the very fabric of the heart he held behind those ribs, he didn't let it show, he let it swallow him up and gulp down his throat as he awaited a reaction.
Maybe she'd yell and unleash something like a volcano erupting somewhere else around the world, or maybe the Sun would explode and then they'd be forced to change locations once again to another earth in the multiverse. Part of him was still puzzled on how that worked, but he stared at her as her expression rapidly contorted, Jason stepping forward opening his closed fist to instantly prepare to knock her out instantly. Readying to chop her on her nape, red lightning circulated all around his body, originating from his eyes then sliding down every sort of his anatomy. However, just as he threw himself from the ground, Ben had grabbed at his wrist, strongly tightening his grip so his older brother would stop himself before he did anything stupid. Just then, the shadows cast upon the summer days so the darkness of the chill would reign over her skin as goosebumps manifested over the tanned nature of her outer layer. While she had been in the process of one of her famous breakdowns where she exploded in a ball of light, the Emperor was quick enough to flick her right in her forehead and draw blood for it to drip down the center sliding down the slit between her eyes.
Eyeballs rolling to the back of her head, she fell limp, descending forward so Jason would catch her as Ben scratched at the side of his throat,
"At least I don't have to deal with her anymore… now all that's left- should be you," Stated Ben with a sigh of relief being released after Madi had fallen over. Still with his face forward, he didn't face behind him, not until a certain array of THUMPS! Echoed out as two pairs of feet hit against the ground cracking the concrete below them.
Now with grey hair instead of the usual snowy shade, there he was, surging with rage with the bags beneath his eyes turned red, he'd been sobbing on the way down no matter how quick it took. Wiping away the tears, he grabbed at the
collar of his old man's shirt, fist sparking with crimson corruption as he glared into the very eyes of his father,
"Since when have you been dying..?" August demanded with a strong broken tone in his vocals, likely on the verge of breaking out and destroying this every Temple.
Taking a glance to the eyes of the Master, Hana shook her head, turning her gaze away so he could deal with this, just about to walk away- before Azazel and Kristina came running around the corner. Feeling them bump into her shoulder, she rolled her eyes, the Master turned her head so she could spot the both of them, contrasting shades of locks flowing within the heated summer wind, August began to hang his head gritting his teeth. Tears threatening to drip out of the corner of his eyes, sniffling, he wiped the nostrils, just about to punch his father right across the face, no matter about the relations he had with their intertwined bloodlines,
"Maybe we should fight, let's battle, you and me, you old fucking man! I'll make you spit out.. That lie of yours, just another excuse, I know it is. I'll… I'll beat you," The more he kept talking, August began his fall to the ground as he clutched his chest, shaking his head for bundles of sweat to drip out the invisible glands embedded onto his face.
Azazel curled a brow upward, Kristina about to step forward, but the Detective was quicker, aiding his rival by taking his arm, the Reaper was lifted back into the air. Now drooling, eyelids shut over each of his heterochromatic pupils, he snored as if he were drifting in a slumber,
"I see both of you passed out from the news… we should gather everyone, there's no point in keeping it a secret any longer. Hana, darling?" Awaiting for her confirmation after he tilted his head, sweet voice piercing her heart and melting her soul, she couldn't help but blush, the Master bowing her head as a sign of respect. Turning away, she hid her hands as she interlocked the clearly heavy sleeves of her robe, going to enter the Mansion to locate the only missing one.
"Keeping what a secret..?"
Having managed to convince Alex to reconvene with everyone after informing him that neither of the Taiyo had come to show themselves to the Party, all of them had once more, sat in a circle, now in the open morning unlight of July 12th. If you had been looking from an overview perspective, you'd see Ben sitting to the left with Hana right across from him on the right side of the circle. August with Madi by his side sipping tea, the nephew with his aunt had been holding their hands, Alex still chewing on some of the rice thrown into his mouth taking hold of the grains using his given chopsticks, Azazel with Kristina awaited the explanation from their leader,
"Ever since I've returned, I've been informed of an anomaly inside of me, that being the corrupted spirit of the Cursed Blessed Emperor of Longing. He is the Sixth Holy King and prophesied to be the final member of the Incarnations. One month ago, after I found out about Griffith's deception and torture of those innocents, I accidentally unleashed him in a fit of rage and hatred. In the beginning, it seemed I had more control over him with it just being my own personal desire to kill him overtaking the Superior Emperor's will, but as time went on and Griffith revealed his true form, I was suppressed. Inside of the Void, I spoke with my other self, and he informed me, while bringing about the New Capital, that I was simply a vessel,"
Flashing back to just over a month ago, the eyelids spread open, pupils fluttering, his head darting like crazy as he searched his surroundings. Ben's chest began to inflate then fall, grabbing at his chest, he bent his knees so he could hold onto them, just calming down after everything. Part of him felt so betrayed after what he'd just witnessed, how could he have been so foolish to trust a man like that, with ambitions so deadly and insane… the way he talked about Paradise. All of those lives scuffed right out of existence without a care for what laid, he couldn't stop himself from sobbing, collapsing to his knees, he cried and held his face in shame at the memories resurfacing of his time in the past when he was the same way. The Kingdom's Past, Heaven's Repent, The Purge of Human Blood, and even the Arising of the Empires, all of them had shed blood that he wasn't fit to. Even after the fate of those memories had faded, he kept going, moving forward and taking risks, telling himself that it was for the sake of the fight ahead that he kept moving forward,
"Man, aren't you just being a tad bit too depressing? There's something that pisses me off about seeing someone like you, wallowing and crying about the lives of so many irrelevant scum. Stand up, before I erase you permanently, Benjamin Daniel Rivera," Commanded the Heavenly Superior, the presence of that menacing demon reverberating out from the inner workings of this horrific being, white orbs shining through the darkness of the Void.
The Emperor of Time, just being addressed to by this very THING, it made him wanna vomit, or rather, thrust his hand into his chest so he could destroy his heart. Attempting the latter, his palm phased through the center of his incorporeal form, causing him to breathe out disappointedly, shaking his head, he pressed his bottom against a wooden chair across from his Holy King other self. Inhaling through his nostrils, he glared right ahead through the lifeless shining orbs of the Heavenly Superior Emperor, the Sixth Spirit leaning forward, knuckles against his chin,
"Let's chat a bit, Requiem Emperor."
