Chapter 30 - The authenticity is crystal clear.

"Really? Why would you think I would do that? I agree that I don't like her one bit but that doesn't mean I would disrespect her unless she wants me to. You know me, I don't look for trouble, I only retaliate."

"And if you don't want to get off, I will. I want to make good use of the opportunity, just watch what I will do next bestie, forgive me if you can." Victoria said as she got out of the car and strides towards the building entrance to greet Mrs. Olivia and her daughter.

"Greetings Mrs. Fazer, it's a pleasure to finally meet you."

Annabel was completely taken aback by her best friend's audacity. She wants to strangle her right this instant.

Seeing she was all alone in the car she got off and followed Victoria. She has to introduce her to the family and face the consequences of her actions.

Besides, the deed has been done and it can't be undone. She has to accept things the way they are, even if she doesn't want to.

"The pleasure is all mine. May I know who you are and what brought you to my house? Come inside." Said Olivia.

"Sure. Lead the way please." Said Victoria.

Annabel couldn't be more stunned by her friend's brassiness. 'Who is this person before her?' She asked herself.

Simon was loving driven at the sight of the gorgeous lady in their home. In a jiffy, he was already downstairs with them. He wants to get a better look, how could he not want to when the lady before him is so beautiful and attractive.

Olivia led Victoria to the living room to have a proper conversation and offered her a glass of water. Annabel went along with them to the room.

Now sitting on the sofa, Olivia who couldn't wait anymore asked again. "My dear, what brought you to my home this evening?"

"Yes ma'am, I didn't even know I would be visiting you today. It's all a coincidence, but I am happy to be here." Says Victoria.

"Really? Is that what you think?" She asked.

Victoria was the daughter of a rich man.

You could tell she's a wealthy girl from her code of dressing and her expensive car. Olivia accorded her some respect when she saw these unambiguous features.

She saw them at the sight of the young lady. Also, she has seen Annabel when she got out of the car but act as if she didn't see her.

"Yes ma'am and thank you for the warm welcome. You made me feel at home." Said Victoria.

Right now, she's more than happy and proud to be a member of Johnson's family. She wants to first introduce herself to them before revealing her relationship with Annabel.

"I miss Victoria Johnson, the only child of Johnson's family. You must have heard about my father."

"Really? Are you saying that you are the daughter of Mr. Johnson; one of the renowned doctors in the city?" Olivia questioned.

"Yes, I am. And if you still doubt me, you can check my ID card." She took out her identity card from her purse. The authenticity is crystal clear.

Olivia was astonished. "It's an honor to have you in my home. How may I help you miss Johnson? You couldn't have been here for no reason." She said.

Victoria smiled, lifted her goblet, and took a sip of water, and says, "You are right Mrs. Fazer, something brought me to your home. I met your daughter on my way home and saw how she was struggling to get a taxi, so, I chose to give her a lift. I hope you don't mind?"

"Not at all. Thank you for your generosity. Girls like you are hard to find these days." Said Olivia.

Victoria turned towards Annabel's direction and asks, "Annie, are you going to just offer me what? Won't you make me some dessert as well?"

Annabel froze instantly, she just wishes to disappear from there. All this while, she has been trying to communicate with her best friend through hand gestures to tell her not to reveal their relationship but it was already too late.

Mrs. Olivia was still figuring out how she knows her stepdaughter's name, and also why she called her name affectionately.

In other to satiate her curiosity she asks, "Do you both know each other?"

Victoria knows the least she could do for her friend was to conceal her hatred for Olivia and act naturally. So, she says,

"Of course we do. We are good friends. She may not consider me as a friend but I do see her as one. I have been struggling to find out why she doesn't want to make friends. She keeps on avoiding me; she runs away whenever I come around."

"Do you perhaps, know the reason why should doesn't want to associate with people other than her relatives?"

She asked, feigning innocent as though she doesn't know. She did what she did to see if the latter would be open to admitting she asked her to do so or if she would conceal the truth and lie to her face.

Just as expected, Olivia refused to admit she made her behave as such. "Not really, that's how she is ever since her childhood, she doesn't mingle with people. I have been trying to make her see reasons with me but she doesn't, that's why relented." Said Olivia.

Victoria couldn't help but feel a bit ridiculed. She giggles, "Really? Is that so?"

"Yes," Olivia answered.

"You don't need to worry anymore, because I won't let her remain like that ever again. With your blessings, I will break the walls she built around herself."

She stood and went to where Annabel was sitting, wrapped her arm around her neck, and pats her shoulder with the other hand. "Just consider us best friends. She must accept me whether she wants to or not." She said.
