Rosalyn Lockhart stared as Nicholas Hatter disappeared from her sight and was gone in that instant. Did he take a little bit of her heart when he ran off?
Maybe the term 'little bit' didn't apply right now.
It felt like Nicholas had ripped a chunk of her heart, tore a half of it away and then left her in a motionless state like this.
The Queen of Hearts swayed in her place and tried not to stumble, shaken and weak in the knees—she just dropped and sat on the floor. Rosalyn Lockhart looked down at her hands. "What have I done? What have you done Rosalyn—you lost your only friend back there."
She babbled to herself and shook her head.
"No, not my only friend… there's Catherine Duke, Chesire who likes to be with me, Mary Ann and Gine too," The Queen of Hearts said.
