ALBERT'S POV
I grabbed Claire by the wrist before she could do something extremely foolish. By extremly foolish I am refering to the norm of the red gead to damage something unknown. The facility was damaged beyond repair and as a result majority of the staircases were quite ill. She gripped my biceps roughly, her blue eyes piercing me intensely as I steadied her.
She gave a shy smile, her fingers leaving my arms as she whispered a soft thank you. She had that after sex glow and the look in her eyes was telling me that she saw me as a potential partner.
That was quite unfortunate because I saw her as my stepping stone.
"You!" we turned to face a familiar blond, a gun pointed towards us. Well if I should reveal honesty in this moment, the gun was aimed for my head in majority of Birkin's movements. Claire removed her gun and I did the same, Annette eyeing me in distaste while I remained calm.
This was the type of casos of I needed. If the blond should pull trigger I was fast enough to dodge it. My companion would not be so lucky.
"It is over, hand over the sample" I demanded and the blonde moved her gun between Claire and I. At this point it was clear that the woman was unaware of her real threat. I smirked, how unfortunate?
"The only way you will get this is over my dead body" She hissed. I fired first in hope to fulfill her her wish but two bullets came back at me. I grit my teeth, my hands on my stomach.
It was more of a flesh wound but in the eyes of a human, it was two major bullets. It was only fair enough to act the part of an impaired human.
"Wesker!" it was when Claire mentioned my name and held onto me her presence was acknowledged. Annette took this as a opportunity to fled and I fell to my knees in fake pain. Claire dipped in her bag, a garment being torn as she held onto my arm.
Quite unnecessary but in the eye of the weak extremely important. It is possible that I had to convince Claire that I was truly wounded by the woman's poor shot.
"You have to stop the bleeding" I suggested calmly and Claire stared at me in horror. Sometimes I forget how experienced she was in this entire tragedy because while she tried to she was not very brave. She was nothing but a petrified teenage girl.
"I can't" she told me and I stared at her. Odd, did the sight of blood make her this nervous?
"I believe you can if you fight the urge to panic" I told her as I applied pressure to the wound. The blood would remain but the would would heal completely. Redfield was unaware of that fun factor.
Claire swallowed but she did quite well in preparing a bandage, the slender woman helping me to my feet in the best way she could. My body weight was a bit for her to handle so without her notice I aided her.
"She actually shot you, that crazy woman" Claire mumbled as well moved across the metallic bridge. I finged hurt and Claire paused in her steps, numerous apologies being given.
There is nothing for you to be sorry for miss Redfield. I adjusted my shades with my index finger.
"Let us proceed" I suggested and we were walking again, Claire passing when we came upon a rail car. This type of transportation was very common around the facility. In fact, I could remember my days of taking them.
The doors opened automatically and Claire guided me indoors carefully, a small groan leaving my lips. I was guided to a metallic seat, my eyes on on the woman who looked extremely confused as it regards to what was happening around her.
"I have unfortunate news" I told the red head and she paused in her pacing to look at me. She made her way towards me, Claire touching the bandage she made.
"We are almost there, the finish line is only a few minutes away" her voice cracked, my hand resting on her cheek comfortably.
"You have to go on without me miss Redfield, I am now a liability" I told her and she stared at my wound. She opened her mouth to issue a reply but I was her barrier to speech. I pressed my lips to hers aggressively, Claire's tongue slipping between my lips as I gripped her breast. I broke the kiss before she could grow too excited, my wrist band being removed and handed to her.
She stared at me.
"You may need that band, the zombie that once wore that was a employee. Majority of this building is coded" I informed her as the rail car came to a stop.
