After having her bathe, Maya got dressed. She came out of the room and decided to have a proper tour round the house, but then she remembered her family. It hasn't been a day yet but she misses them so much already. She was about to call her dad when her phone rang, she saw the callers ID and it was Betty.
" Hello Betty " she heard her voice sounding rather a bit strange in her own ears.
How is our new bride doing? " Betty's happy voice came up. " Not okay.. but let's not talk about me, so... what's up? " she asked Betty.
"Nothing much except the fact that am rather sought of jobless now." her voice suddenly sounded tired.
" Oh my goodness Betty, I'm so sorry that you had to go through this because of me. " she apologised to her sincerely as she remembered what Logan did to their little work place.
" You don't have to apologise Maya, because I know none of this is your fault and you're going through a lot already but maybe...maybe you can talk to him to release the building back to us now you both are married. I mean the deal is done already." Betty said and Maya couldn't help but think for a second.
" I think you're right... don't worry I will make sure to have a talk with him and get back to you, okay? "
" Sure thing. Thanks Maya " Betty said before they said goodbye to themselves over the phone.

Maya walked into Logan's office where he was busy as usual. She knows he heard her footsteps but pretended like he didn't.
" We need to talk " she told him calmly but he still ignored her and it was frustrating.
"Logan, I said we need to talk! " she repeated herself a bit tensed up but he still continued on.
" Logan we need to talk! " she said once more as she gathered enough courage and collected the papers from his hand which made him finally still. She watched him shut his eyes for a minute before he opened them again.
" What do you want? " he asked in a weird calm manner without raising his eyes up to her.
" Good " she said before she took her seat in front of his table.
" We had an agreement... I marry you and you leave my family, everything and everyone I love alone... I kept your agreement and now it's time to do yours. " she told him and all he did was to raise his eyes up to her.
"I need you to release my workplace, I need to have it back."
" Why should I? " he finally said after much hesitation and glaring. " You don't tell me what to do. I tell you what to do and right now I say, 'NO' " he told her coldly in a straight expression.
" Why! " she couldn't help but almost scream at him. She felt like their was a lump of tears growing in her neck. She was really frustrated by Logan.
"Because you don't need a job " he replied her.
" But my friend does. She works with me and now that you shut down our company, she is having a hard time."
"Then let her adapt...let her adapt to this harsh and cruel world! " Logan said as he stood up. Finally the tears rolled down her cheeks and she tried hard to control it but she couldn't. She felt really annoyed on remembering everything she was passing through.
" I lied to the world for goodness sake! I lied and agreed to marry him because he said he would let my family be but now, he is... he is really being cruel " she sobbed as she gently stood up after she tried to wipe the tears off her face.
" How does it really feel Logan, how does it feel to be mean and cruel to people? does it make you feel great, better than every other human being or do you just purposely want attention because you're lonely? Why can't you keep your word? do you know how much suffering my conscience is making me go through? I don't sleep in peace every night again. Since you made me lie to the press... I had to decide unknowingly to trust and marry you cause I thought this high businessman will surely keep to his word but... you keep making me think other wise... why? " she told him in tears but all he did was stretch his hands and collected the papers from her.
"I don't have to explain anything to anyone." he said before he turned to leave his office.
" Then hear this clearly... as long as you continue not to keep your word.. " she wiped her face with her palms as she suddenly meant business. Logan stopped with his back facing her as he listened to what she was saying and Maya continued.... " I'm going to make your life a living hell... I'm going to make you wish you never went down the path of marrying me... I'm going to frustrate you.. starting now! " she told him before she turned, walked up to the sofa and had her seat, she crossed her legs and folded her arms. He ignored her and went on ahead and left the office.
" Maya, I thought you said you won't show him your tears " she told herself frustratingly as she wiped her face with her palms.

" This is so frustrating. I really don't have to explain myself to anyone and I really can't remember when last I had to explain anything to anyone " Logan said to himself as he flashed back to some memories of him when he was little.
" Dad, dad look at what I drew " he ran into his father's room.
" Not now Logan! can't you see am busy? Nanny! Nanny!! " he yelled out. An average looking black woman came running into the study room.
" Take Logan away and don't let him out of your sight again! " Logan's very busy father warned the Nanny without looking up. The Nanny nodded and dragged the little boy with her outside the study room.

"Daddy i dont want to go... I don't want to " Logan as a little boy wept as he was being led to the car. His father kept him in the back seat and shut the door.
" You're going to learn. Now stop being a cry baby and man up. " his dad told him.
" I dont want to go daddy... I don't want to. I want to stay here with you. " the little Logan pleaded as he wept.
" You have to venture into the world Logan so that someday you can be very tough and take care of our empire. Go! " his father ordered his driver after talking to his son. He walked back into the mansion ignoring his son's pleas.
" Daddy.... Daddy " he wept as the car drove out of the compound. After Logan finished remembering all these,he shook his head and went back into his office to continue his work.
