"Kinsey, I have more to tell you," Katie said in a serious tone after they were quite satisfied having fun in the grass enjoying the cool breeze. "I... my time in this world is not long. Instead, it's getting shorter."
Kinsey fell silent and did not expect to hear Katie's confession. He already knew this fact, and he thought Katie would never tell him.
"I used to think maybe we shouldn't be together. After all, I only have less than four years. But... when I lost my memory when I met you in Grandma Ode's office, I was selfish. I... I think I love you too much to let you go. I'm sorry."
Kinsey smiled at that. Katie loved him too much to let him go? Is there anything that could make him happier than hearing his lover express her feelings?
"Why are you smiling like that? You don't look surprised?" Katie was astonished by Kinsey's casual demeanor. She narrowed her eyes with a suspicious look. "Could it be that you already know?"
"You could say that."
