I sat down on the table alongside them, talking and laughing about, their faces filled with joy.
Time flew by, i sat eating my food and drinking, listening in on the conversations my team had, even joining in at some points. They had their own food, either almost done to finished eating.
"Cheers to another mission done!" Sebastian joyfully raised his cup of hot coco as if it was beer. We all clink our glasses, drinking our hot coco.
After minutes of talking, we all focused on eating, eating our sandwiches and drinking our hot coco with smiles on our faces.
"I knew there would be hot coco when we get back!" Thalia exclaimed.
This sandwich is quite good not gonna lie, grilled sandwich, with cheese, meat, among some other condiments or ingredients.
Cafeteria at this time was almost empty, with us being one of the only ones in here, with many either on a mission or doing other tasks inside the academy.
Soon, we all finished our food, but didn't stand up to leave yet.
"Damon, how's the wound on your arm?" Sebastian asked.
"Oh right." Alina walked towards me, checking to examine the shoulder for any damage still on it.
"Wow....It looks, normal." Alina sounded shocked, my arm did look ok, like there were no wounds on it at all.
"But for good measure, i'll just patch it up." Alina started wrapping a bandage on my arm, even with no wound.
"There." Alina finished her wrapping, returning back to her seat after.
Soon after finishing, we returned to talking, from about the mission to other things. I joined in with the conversation.
It lasted for minutes. With everyone speaking in every topic brought up, except Luna who stayed silent.
"Well, that was one good feast, the next mission would most likely come later on in a few days or less so it's best to rest for now. The report for our mission is on all your desks." Sebastian concluded our feast together, we all stood up, exiting the cafeteria, with nobody bringing a cart to take the trays away.
The group soon dissipated, walking away to the elevator area, to others entering inside the quarters. I step inside my room, welcomed by the silent but comfortable bed along with other furniture. On my desk, was a folder.
Opening it i was greeted to a picture of the outside of the mine, the entrance was gone with wooden residue scattered around it.
Below was a paragraph, reading:
"Shoravik mission status: Successful
Outcome: Removal of insurgent forces from the forest area" Odd, why didn't it talk about recovering intel and a hostage?
The page continued: "The mission was a success with the removal of the nearby local insurgent force, along with the destruction of it's hideout, as a reward. The mercenaries responsible in this mission were paid fairly, the casualties range from 20 to 50 insurgents. Later on after the raid, the Shoravik outpost nearby acting as a command hub for the mission was attacked by an unknown force, reportedly drones. Unfortunately 3 guards have been killed along with 2 civilians inside while 22 were injured, soldier and civilian. Mysteriously, there were no residue of the attack, with no parts being found in the area except a field of black marks on the dirt. Furthermore, late in the mission the number of killed has been ranged to multiple armored vehicles destroyed along with approximately 100 extra casualties, this has caused the crew to call in an extra ship to recover the stranded team after surviving this last stand, none suffered casualties but a few reported injuries. This mission has been seen as a decisive victory for parabellum, it's client, as well as the alliance for taking out a insurgent hideout suffering a few casualties.
