Saleos stood on its spot, motionless for a few seconds. Strangely enough, its mind was as empty as its lightless eyes.
As opposed to the belief of the dwellers of this world, demons were able to harness various emotions. The main identifying factor was that the demons' concept of greed didn't equate to the unspeakable greed that the humans had.
Demons were merely driven by their desire to survive. Their avarice would urge them to collect their nourishments for a certain amount of time and accumulate the power to defend themselves for their present threats. Once they've exploited their supplies, the recycle of gathering would repeat.
Nothing more, nothing less.
'I have to move. I have to help the knights. But why can't I move my own body?'
