It goes to say that Flauros had no obligation to address the Empress with her title. After all, the Demon Noble was nothing but an outsider not only in the Seraphiel Empire, but also in the entire realm. No one would dare castigate the demon if it dared to show discourteousness afore the Empress.
All the same, the Demon Noble's nerves felt as if they were being pricked with millions of pins and needles. Flauros wasn't sentient of the cause, yet somehow, conversing with the Empress became more of a struggle than leisure. The demon found it difficult to be disrespectful towards a person who, peculiarly enough, it didn't have an opportunity to meet prior to their discussion. Unbeknownst to Flauros, it was wary of earning the Empress' disappointment. Even if it was cognizant of the matter, the demon wouldn't be able to ascertain the reason why he was acting as such.
"I beg your pardon, Your Highness?" Flauros asked since it didn't hear what the Empress had to say.
