"Haaa another long exhausting day of work finally finished," I thought finally I can go home and I can't believe that stupid manager of mine made me work an extra six hours the work he forgot to file and organize.
As I walked towards the elevator I looked around at the dark and empty office feeling jealous of my coworkers at home resting.
As I exit the office building "whoosh", a cold breeze passes and sends a slight shiver down my spine.
"I should go home", I thought to myself while looking at the slightly empty street that was once bustling just a few hours ago.
To get home quickly I decided to use a shortcut I haven't used recently due to the construction work that was taking place during this month. When I turned the corner it was kinda dark but everything else looked normal so I continued thinking that nothing else would be out of the ordinary. I continued through until I heard what sounded like footsteps behind me.
I quickly picked up the pace and started paying less attention to where I was walking, when I took the next step there wasn't any ground and I started falling, it all happened so fast.
All I heard was a loud thump and as per reaction pain rushed through my body as I tried moving.
My body was limp and blood seemed to start running down my face I couldn't tell for sure though because all I could see was a very dim light coming from above me but even that slowly dwindled as my sight started to become blurry and my consciousness faded and all I could think to myself was that I died because I fell in a hole.
