Chapter 35 - ọgbọn mẹrin

"So, are you finally fucking satisfied? You know everything. Ximenes fucked up my life in addition to yours - not to mention Ade's- and that's how we ended up married. Why the fuck am I still being punished for Ximenes' stupidity when he's not even alive?"

"But that's not everything, is it Nani? You've been married to Ade for a year. I think that year has a lot more to say about how we ended up here than those irrelevant ass couple of days you spent 'saving the world'. Why would I give a fuck about that? No, you know what I want, and you're hiding it. So, I'll make you a proposition. Give me the full story, including why and how you decided to ruin my life-"

"I did not ruin your life-"

"Shut the fuck up! I'm giving you time to explain. Explain it to me. Because as of now, I don't see why you deserve to live. You, him, and that fugly ass baby."

"Don't you dare fucking speak about my child-"

"Bitch I got a gun to your head Imma say whatever the fuck I want. I want to hear everything. Nice, slow, and in detail. And lets hope I decide not to blow your fucking brains out like you deserve. I can be a very generous person you know?"

"Fine. You're right. Ade and I's marriage was in no way the end of our story. It was only the beginning..."

A/N: THE REST IS COMING SOON IN THE SEQUEL TO IRIKURI, TITLED 'TITI IKU' which translates to 'Until Death'. In the meantime, lets have a lil Q&A and chat.

Any questions/confusion you need me to clear up can go right here: (dont be shy! We in quarantine, y'all know I need that interaction and I know y'all dont got much better to do!)

Now lets get some thoughts and opinions! Who do y'all think is the one threatening Nani?

What do y'all think Nani did to make them so damn mad?

What do you guys think about Nani and Ade's sudden marriage and their possible romantic relationship in general. Do you guys think it'll last? Are they better off friends? Oh and also how Ade got Nani involved in the whole thing, y'all mad at him?

What are our thoughts on Ximenes, y'all miss him?

Thoughts on Nani/Nki? What do you hope is next for her?

Thoughts on Ade in general? Do you think what he did to Nki makes him a bad person?

What are y'all excited to see and not so excited to see? (Hopes for the sequel)

Lastly, thoughts on my first book everrr!!! This has been such an amazing journey. This book is very very different from what it was supposed to be and if you been reading since day 1 I suggest you go back and re read the first few chapters cuz so much shit has changed (also props to u bc some of the shit i wrote at first was so ugly lmfaoooo). Thank you to every single person that has commented, given me their love and positive words, voted, and just read in general! I just hope someone reading this finally sees a character they relate to and more importantly that people see a toxic, abusive, 'relationship'/situation that's portrayed rawly without being glorified.

There's a reason I decided not to make this a story where the girl falls for her kidnapper, or he's able to redeem himself. It was important to show that Ximenes wasn't one-dimensional, and has humanity like everyone else, but also to let all the young people on this app know that whether you're male or female it should NEVER be your 'job' to fix someone or deal with abuse and toxicity in a relationship. Obsession isn't cute. Abuse isn't cute. Neither are measures of how intense someone's love is or anything of the sort. They just show a relationship is unhealthy. I never really saw a book that showed that, so I decided to make it for myself and I hope it did the same for y'all. I used to romanticize toxic relationships as well and while writing this booking and getting in Nani's head I realized how scary and awful those situations can be. Stay safe everyone, and if you're in a situation like that, I'm sending so much love your way! Just in case, the hotline for domestic violence is 1-800-799-7233.

Anyways, I'm so excited for us to embark on phase two! This next book is bouta be hotter, juicier, and just crazier and general so tune in! More drama, more action, more mystery, more focus on the setting (this is supposed to be set in like 2025, writing this in 2020), and most of all more laughs and love from our faves! Get ready. Love y'all titi iku (which translates to 'until death').
