It was out of pure curiosity. I simply slipped past everyone here within the debate chamber of gods. Slide through a gap left by a summons arm doing her things.
Now in the active folds of realities, I hop skip and jump on poking my nose at places. A little check up of things that shouldn't be messed with.
The after realms seem all in order. The realm of Death has suffered in the jolt caused by the lost threads that tied the mage island into existence. But now the grim reapers have more land mass to call home. That they aren't living like the British industrial age. No more pf the cramped crowded conditions.
The abyss portals... The keepers seem to be neighborly. Helping each other throw back the things into the portals that they were born from. Even little twilight has her portals nest of God eaters under her claws.
"Damned you!" She bite me as always. And now that I know, I grab her tongue and made her vomit on me. Disgusting as it may, antidotes it is. She snarls and claws me which is fine. It's more like a kitten scratch now.
"Has Jasper been by?" I ask.
"That?" Pointed to a solid red stone like egg. I pick him up, pet a few times. Sent him home to us timespace. Likely hatched on his grim reapers lap again. Leave it to his universe to make sense of him. He cam come here anytime.
She looks horrified of my treatment, snapping at my feet and ripping my arm with teeth. Angry for sure. Adorable as she may try. I pet her.
"He can come back again when his reset. He just had to go back to his time space." She released me with the look of shock, "You my dear aren't much different. You belong in many other timelines then just mine. Your God eaters are needed." She looked perplexed, "I did fish you out from the boundaries of time. I just allowed you stay here for whatever you needed." She snarled at the thought. I gave her the cog book. She seen it before. Upon her touch it was altered to her allowances of knowledge she can see. She was more a veteran than I. She peers at the book long while and made it disappear. She seems to finally understand.
"But..." She looked drags me to a broken seam of time cloth.
"Its fine. I will get around to it." I put my hand into it, lost a bunch if my soul fragments. On retrieve of my hand, it was burdened with a bunch of God curses. The seam vanished and she seems to had swallowed hard at something. Peering at me. The lack of hole. Back to me. I gave a twisted and she scampered fast someplace away from me. I peer about my curses sorting themselves out, and then glanced on the other abyss gates here. All the keeper's gasped and fled into their own portals for refuge from me. Just the typical reaction really.
I take stare to someone that didn't run away from me looking upon them. A very angry damned that throws my fragments of soul back at me. As hurt as that felt. It's nice to see my little shattered host being a good tool. My unwelcomed smile at the damned screaming at me for things had now silences him.
"I have missed you too." I snatch this fragment, "So what are we going to do now? What in the many realms that needs a good soul fear like me for?"
It felt like a long time since I felt that I enjoy my job again. In spite of the murder. The ruin. The sorrow. Beaten and broken.
I am happy to be the one to give chances. To save and protect them from the things I fear beyond time and space. Making all the wiser that I listen to those souls I took as tools. The ones whom returned from such nightmare beyond my making.
